281 | what does jeremiah 32;41mean? | Jer 32:41 | EdB | 239351
Jeremiah is talking about restoring the nation of Israel after their captivity in Babylon. He will restore them back to their land and give them the truth. However as we know they didn't cling to God long before they were back doing what they did before they were sent in captivity to start with.
282 | What is going on in the Body of Christ ? | 2 Tim 3:1 | EdB | 239350
This is what is going on. A great sifting is occurring to see who is truly of God and who is just playing at being a Christian. 2 Thessalonians 2:3 (NKJV) 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NKJV) 1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! |

283 | Trials | Bible general Archive 4 | EdB | 239342
James 1:2-4 (NKJV) 2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. Hebrews 12:11 (NKJV) 11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NKJV) 16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. Romans 5:3 (NKJV) 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; |

284 | What does God say about sharing good for | Bible general Archive 4 | EdB | 239337
Not real sure what exactly you are asking. We are to care for widows and Orphans. Scripture says if we have two coats and our brother has need of one we should give it to him. And to do unto others as we would have them do unto us. However scripture also says there will always be poor among us. And if a person refuses to work they can go hungry. |

286 | Cain and Abel wives. Who are they? | Genesis | EdB | 239327
Scripture does not say. In fact there is no mention of Abel having a wife. However Cain's wife is mentioned. Adam and Eve were first and all human life came from them so Cain's wife had to have been a relative. Experts estimate there may have been many thousands living on earth by this time. So he could have married a 4 or 5 th niece or cousin. |

287 | is there a period of pre-historic ? | Bible general Archive 4 | EdB | 239325
In science yes. Whether it actually existed and when is not mentioned in scripture. That brings us down the question what do we put our trust in God or the invention of man? |

288 | NASB vs KJV for Prov. 26:10 | Prov 26:10 | EdB | 239315
Interesting in deed. Proverbs 26:10 (KJV) 10 The great God that formed all things both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors. Proverbs 26:10 (NKJV) 10 The great God who formed everything Gives the fool his hire and the transgressor his wages. Proverbs 26:10 (NASB) 10 Like an archer who wounds everyone, So is he who hires a fool or who hires those who pass by. Proverbs 26:10 (NLT) 10 An employer who hires a fool or a bystander is like an archer who shoots at random. My New King James has a notation that says, The Hebrew here is very difficult to understand and modern translators differ greatly. The comments in the Net Bible are very interesting on this. It contains too many special characters to allow me to post it here. Go to site https://net.bible.org then search on Proverbs 10:26 and once there click Note which will be at the top of the block to your right. |

290 | What exactly does this passage mean? | Heb 10:26 | EdB | 239295
Exactly what it says. How can anyone think of them self as being saved while engaging in deliberate and willful sin? This isn't saying a Christian won't sin it is saying a Christian will not engage in willful and deliberate sin. It goes on say if a truly saved Christian has done this, he has mocked the Holy Spirit and there no longer remains any sacrifice that will pay the price for this sin.
291 | Is Cain a seed of the serpent vs Adams | Gen 4:1 | EdB | 239251
It is not in scripture. It is the invention of man and is known as serpent seed or demon seed theology. There is no basis for it in scripture. Tell him he needs to read Genesis for himself and not let people tell him what is in the book. |

294 | What's the point? | Bible general Archive 4 | EdB | 239200
Scripture does not give us details of life during the millennium nor does it explain the point of Millennium so for anyone to try to answer your question would only be stating his or her opinion.
295 | What does this mean? | Matt 9:5 | EdB | 239171
It has been said "Amazing the kind of responses one will read to this sort of question. All the more astonishing when you are mindful of the fact that such stuff has been -- apparently -- promulgated for years. Oh that the sheep would be spared!" And I agree, however one has to remember scripture is given by God to man to increase man's understanding of God. For God nothing is impossible this fact has been declared many times through out scripture. God created man both body and spirit and as a creator nothing puzzles God in either the function of each or maladies that may beseech either. Therefore to God healing of the body or of spirit of man is a simple task, what is hard is convincing man that God cares enough to do either. When God heals our spirit by forgiving our sins man sees no physical change. In fact anyone can walk up to you and say "Go my child your sins are forgiven." Who is to say they are or they are not? But to heal the body by saying, "you are healed, now stand and walk." requires immediate physical and spiritual things to transpire. First the physical body must in fact be healed but also the person must accept what is said and actually stand and walk. To God both of these are an easy task but one is immediately proven and the other is not proven until the person steps into eternity. In that view it becomes very easy to say, your sins are forgiven. No one standing there will ever be able agree or disagree this side of heaven. However to say your body is healed, now stand and walk requires immediate proof. The requirement of physical proof makes the task harder because it requires a change of perspective of the person being healed. The person being healed must also act. |

297 | What does this mean? | Matt 9:5 | EdB | 239156
Jesus was pointing out that saying your sin are forgiven can not be proved this side of heaven. However to say get up a walk requires the person to be healed on the spot and to get up and walk. Proof is immediately required. It was a demonstration of His infinite power.
298 | How many years from David to Joesph? | Bible general Archive 4 | EdB | 239111
King David was King in approx. 1010 BC and reigned for 40 years. Jesus was born between 4BC and 1 AD. And it is thought Joseph was about 30 at the time. So it would be approx 940 to 976 years between David and Joseph depending on when you start with David and assuming Joseph was 30 when Jesus was born.
299 | Question from the story of Job | Job | EdB | 239096
First we have to ask was God testing Job or was God completing Job? James suggests God was completing Job does it not. James 1:2-4 (NASB) 2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. Psalm 66:10 (NKJV) 10 For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined. We must be refined, purified. When is it over? Paul says run the race press toward the mark. It is over when we are in Heaven in the Lord's presence. Look at the disciples their entire lives were one of ordeal, of perfecting and purifying. Even in death they were still being refined. God works on us until we are completed and then God takes us to our reward. Count it all joy. |

300 | Are Christians members of kindom of God | Matt 7:21 | EdB | 239084
Matthew 7:21-23 (NASB) 21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' 23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.' Many people want to ignore the fact that Jesus must become Lord of their life. |
