2782 | Why mean notes and answers? | Not Specified | justme | 50184
Dear Forum: Why do some of our brothers and sisters answer questions and or add notes with such mean attitudes? Today I received some of the most unkind notes I have ever gotten. I was deeply wounded. Is not the fact that I am a Christian, deserving of some honest, but not demeaning answer? I would ask that we all consider others more highly then ourselves. I sincerely enjoy this forum, but kindness ought to be as much a part of being a Christian as the requirement to love each other. Am I right? agape, justme |

2785 | Should women be allowed to preach? | Galatians | justme | 50183
Dear William: I prefer a man pastor, not because women are not Biblically permited. I have a hard time because so many men will not support a woman pastor. I think you have the family, and culture and abortion, deadbeat dads and adultery, kinds thrown together in one pot. Where does the call of God enter the picture? How about a husband and wife as co-pastors? That protects men from counseling women ond visa versa. We live in very difficult times and perhaps things will soon get much worse. I believe each of us should spend more time praying for each other than being so critical. How anout you? aaagape, justme |

2786 | Should women be allowed to preach? | Galatians | justme | 50181
Dear Scribe: Brave soul, I am so proud that you can put into words much better than I have been able to. I am deeply wounded by the mean things I have gotten by meeeen and women who differ from my views. The love of Christ for women, and the fact that we are co-workers is totally ignored by some. Women are not second class humans or christians. I am a man and I am supprised that we agree. Thank you you have lifted my heart. Today was a real slammer for me. so bless you. agape, justme |

2790 | The Primacy of Gods' word | Galatians | justme | 50173
Dear BradK: I must admit I do have a serious problem with women being alone in the mission field. I think if there is no man christian enough then maybe the mission should be halted from the first. It is high time men who feel that praeching and pastoring is for men only, to close the churches down! Perhaps, some of these wimpy pansey christian men will see people are going to hell because of there view women are second class christians! Culture has much to do with how we understand scripture! Lets turn arround and ask should we return to the culture ways of Paul? Please consider God does refer to him as a hen wwho would gather her chicks, and other references that show that God is tender atributes of a female as well. Why was Adam incomplete? What made him complete? a woman, female EVE, not Steve. God is neither male or female! As God moved on men to pen His perfect without error word He used words that we could understand. I doubt he was ever saying man is so much better, or woman is much less. We are co-workers with different abilities and responsibilities, different but both are equal in Gods sight. That's what Gal.3:28 is about. I gladly seek understanding of Scriptual truth, to up lift all children of God. Hope this helps also. agape, justme |

Dear New Creature. I am saddened by you responce. Do you think that eeven in 1611 the King James Bible translators did not use evry avalible schollary resource? For your growth information Vines and A.T. Robertson are tools that every greek scholar is fimular with. Young, Strong, and others have given a lifetime of study that you and I could never duplicate! These men were Solidly convicted Scripture was the final authority for all faith and practice! What makes feel they were not? If you so choose to lable these Christian men than it is to your loss. Basic translation from Greek to English in exact percise perfect word for word is very difficult at best. But I am sure you know that. No one knows it all about the Bible or its total meaning. Might I suggest you be a little more kinder in responding. I am hoping to share my views, if you are not interested just say so. agape justme |

2792 | need for a bible-anyone | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 50165
Dear Raven: I read you responce. I sent you a note to encourage you. I gave you two ideas in which you could refer her to get a Bible. I am deeply sad with your harsh attitude. Why? What in the world gave you any idea I was refering you to send her to a different belief system? Gideons simply give out Bibles for free! Souther Baptist have the Survival Kit for new Christians. Which if it was not for that material I never would have gone to get my BA in Bible or my M. Div or MARS and go into ministry! Yes if you are saying these other ministries are throwing her to the wolves that is very ugly indeed. I said nothing contrary to The Word of God what so ever. I deeply resent you infering I said anything contrary to the Word of God. To say you respect my view point is in direct contradiction to your rude note. I feel you have taken a compliment and twisted it in to some sort of taking a bad day out on a brother in Christ! I do forgive you. I suggest you take this matter to the Lord in prayer for you indeed show anger and unacceptable gratitude for someone who was thinking you were showing kindness. Perhaps you need to evaluate you motives for sending me such a mean hardhearted letter. Agape justme |

Daer Srbaegon: I appreciate your explanations. Y respect your views, you come accross as a gentle soul. I respect that you practice what you say is your views. What you say and do are not in conflict. That I admire. I also practice what I believe. So we ar both children of The King and with that we shall have fellowship. Neither of our views are unorthodox. I am very close friends with Amish, and Menonite wher we live. We do not agre on many things but Jesus is our Lord and with that we focus on what we do agree. I am sure we can also. agape justme |

2794 | Is killing murder in wartime? | Rom 13:1 | justme | 50120
Dear tommymac51: War is evil. War changes people, in ways that are painfull. Often the pain and memories of war last a life time. We as a nation are often called to rescue others from certian destruction or prevent evil from taking over where good exists. When war involves us, we have to make choices, that may save lives by taking someones life. Sometimes we lay our life down to save someone elses. There is no easy answer. War is hell, and that's the truth. I am a 100 percent disabled Veteran and I know that living with physical damage to ones body is not as painfull as the emotional scars that only with Christs love can heal, and we can be free of the past. God bless you, agape, justme |

Dear vistith: There is no such verse! I John 1:9 says if we confess our sins he is faithfull and will forgive us and cleanse us from all wrong doingI Have you confessed your sin? thenit is forgiven. But turn from sin and do not repeat it. Bless you, agape, justme |

Thank yoy raven for you responding to this young lady. You have approached the situation wisely! You can also refer her to the Gideons, or any Southern Baptist Church. I am not a Souther Baptist but was and know they will follow her through with some help in growing spiritually as well. You sensitivity was very special to read. agape, justme |

2797 | Should women be allowed to preach? | Galatians | justme | 50116
Dear BradK: Should we bring back the thousand of women missionaries who have preached all over the world? Ther are teams of women serving all over the world wher men can't be found in large enough numbers to send. In America for more than 200 years there have been women preaching and pastoring. I prefere a man pastor my self. However, have you ever heard Dr. Billy Graham's daughter speak? Do you think that the culture of biblical times was inspired as the word is? I think our culture has educated women, which was most certianly not the case back at Pauls writting. If the church today depended upon men keeping it going it would fall appart. Many churches are supported by as much as 75 percent women. Re-read Gal.3:28. Do you not read there is neither male of female in heaven? Is not our Father God neither male or female, sexually, but complete in and of the Faters self? I just wanted you to see it in a new light. agape, justme |

2798 | Should women be allowed to preach? | Galatians | justme | 50114
Dear srbaegon: What does you name stand for? The name is an interesting word. But back to your answer. When does culture and scripture conflict? Why not have women cover their head? Why allow women to speak in church today? Why not stome adulter's? My point was the verse in Timothy was directly related to the culture at that ime. Give it some thought. Galations 3:28 might have some impact on your thinking. I just wanted to add a tid bit to stir up some gray matter. agape, justme. |

2799 | bible reference to support remarrying | NT general Archive 1 | justme | 50112
Dear New Creature: There is no one who takes a deeper stand or position on scripture than me. That I know personally. I assure you. True, you gave a limited perspective of your view. However, my Friend you are lacking in Word study. With out getting to the root word meaning you only have half or less the information you need. Might I suggest getting A.T. Robinson's 7 volume set of the New Testament, or at least VINES EXPOSITORY DICTIONARY OF NEW TESTAMEN5T WORDS. When you give advice and use scripture to back your view up I would think you would want to be as correct as possible. Friend you were not! There was PUTTING AWAY, which was the verb, used by Jesus when in Matthew he says Jesus hates divorce. That word divorce is putting away. Sending a man or woman away with out a certificate of divorce. The word Divorce which is apoluo the verb, used in Matthew 1:19 and 19:3,-7-9 Mark 10:2,4,11, and Luke 16:18 The Lord used it of the case of the wife putting away the husband. This was done by the romans, not among the Jews. The noun used by Jesus was apostasion, which denotes a writing or bill of divorcement. Found in Matthew 5:31 19:7, Mark 10:4, and in the Sept., duet.24:3, Isa.50:1, Jer. 3:8 amd I suggest reading lCor. 7. where it addresses people married to non christians, and every issue. When you condem someone to a life of lonleiness, with having full knowledge of what the scripture says in its complete menaing, that Friend is not Godly advice. Now if you have learned anything that is well and fine, However if you are still as stern in your understanding as before, let me say this. I have seen such judgemental christians litteraly eat their words in the most painful way you can imagine. I would suggest to you that truth without love is as bad as love without truth. I ask you how does your truth show love, mercy, and how has your truth shown anyone that God can forgive any one of anything? To be very blunt it shows a lot of anger and self pride. God did not make you or me the judge of anyone but ourself! Awake Friend the church is full of hurting sinners who need to be released from the bondage of guilt that has then so bound up they have almost given up on the church and Gods mercy. I ask you to pray and ask Christ to show you the true way to show His love to a hurting world. I have been very direct and open with you. I normally do not take the time to dialouge with a person who was so staunch in their view. I felt the Lord leading me to try and open your eyes to a better way. In christian love I submit this to you friend. I hope it was worth my time. agape, just me |

2800 | Where are the other things in the Ark? | 2 Chr 5:10 | justme | 50082
Dear Mommapbs: For centuries mankind has been looking for these artifacts. I suppose if they were found, the items would become worshiped. Don't you? Proberly the jar of mana would be spoiled by now anyway. The people complained a lot about it, and even would have returned to eating leeks. Uck! Recently PBS had a progran in which they think, it might be in the church where Christ was supposed to be born. However there are three outer buidings and no one is allowed to tare into the walls as it is considered sacred. So what do you think would happen if it was not the place Jesus was born? They would not make any money charging people to see it. Right? Oh well hope this gives you something to think about. agape, justme |
