2701 | Can a person ever loose his salvation? | Hebrews | justme | 51323
Stacy: Hebrews 7:25. Jesus saves us completly! However, let me ask you something? What makes you think you were ever saved? I prefer to come to this question. You must have some reason for doubting? I would rather say why not make 100 percent that you are a Christian, OK? Have you confessed your sins to Christ? h Have you repented of your sins? Stacy for 37 years I constantly doubted my salvation. Everyone told me to read my Bible more. I wore out several Bibles and still I doubted. I was told to pray more. I prayed over and over and over again! I still doubted my salvation. Then at a mens brakfast I heard a man just like me! He too had gone and done all the things I had done, and advised to do. However what he found was repentance! That's what I had never done. I had prayed to Christ I wanted to repent of my sins. I advise when you do that be ready for change to happen! I had stolen from my goverment job for years. I had to take it all back. I never filed and honest income tax. I went back and refiled for all the years I could! I wound up owing NOTHING. WOW! I went to people I had hurt for many years and asked their forgiveness. I had to go to each decon of my church to ask if I could be baptized. They would not believe I got saved. One deacon said If your not saved then maybe I am not either. You see Stacey, I was a God seeker, I tried to work my way to salvation, all the time needing assurance I was saved. I was not. How I wish some one would have spent more time going back to basics. Stacey, right now as you read this I pray the Lord Jesus Christ will either convict you or assure you. I pray that you will know right this minuet which your situation is. Now pray ask Christ to either change your life or recommit your life right now! I pray this with you in Jesus Christ Holy name. Stacey, call someone right now. Someone who is a Christian and tell then what you have done. I would like to know what you did as well. I will remember you in prayer. agape, justme |

Joe: I am very impresses with your well presented information. I most soildly affirm your statement that it is grace through faith alone in Christ alone. I brought up that question simply so some might think toeir understanding of baptismal regeneration has a flaw that it takes some real study and thought to make a change in thinking baptism is what seals salvation. I strongly believe in eternal Security as long as it is not used for fire insurance. Understand? agape, justme |

Hey Searcher: I suppose everything has been discussed many times. I wonder how Seminary Professors keep teaching for so many years. I am sure they have heard it over, and over, and over, and over, and over.....I think you got the idea. The thing in a forum some areas are good to rehash as it brings in new members and they can lear from participating. That's what is most important. By the way I have eaten crow several times in my life, I wonder about stuffed baked raven? Thats a joke! agape, justme |

New Lump: Oh thank heaven for someone to agree with that a 10 year old boy does know its not nice to have sex with a 13 year old girl. I suppose we could raise the age of accountability to 57 and I would home free? Bless you I was feeling rather picked on. Get the pun? agape, justme |

2706 | What does "generation" here mean? | Luke 21:32 | justme | 51308
Autumn: In Luke21:32 the greek word yevea signifies a betting, or birth; then that which has begotten, a family; or successive members of a genealogy. The word came to mean an age,ie., a period ordinarily occupied by each successive generation, say, of thirty or fourty years. This acme from VINES EXPOSITORY DICTIONARY OF NEW TESTAMENT WORDS by W.E. Vine, M.A. Royal Publishers, INC Nashville, Tennessee September 1952. Second printing 1983. This is an excellent tool when used with parallel New Testament in Greek and Hebrew. These are in print and what every Christian should have do do a word study. I think a Christian with out a good solid base of books to help in language and Concordance is not taking their responsiblity to grow very seriously. The problem is few know how to share what it is will make the Bible easier to understand. Bible study is a life time of study. I hope this helps. agape, justme |

I have not understood who gets this when I answer with a note, so this is ment for Treadway; Surely you are not suggesting Cor.7:14 to say that if either partner in marriage is unsaved, the believer somehow alots the unbeliever salvation by some sort of connection in marrage? Are you? Because I have a different understanding on that verse if that's what you are saying. By the way what does ESV stand for I do not recall that one. agape, justme |

2708 | OT verses in Revelation? | Revelation | justme | 51297
Dare Searcher. You already sent me this once dear friend. However, I can not resist, jabbing one more time for good measure, right old mate! IT REALLY IS HANEGRAAFF. Be a good sport and give it a good laugh as I am hardly able to keep from choking. agape, justme |

2709 | OT verses in Revelation? | Revelation | justme | 51296
Oh Kind Searcher: As I look at my copy of CHRISTANITY IN CRISIS at this very second, may I humbly, and as an old pain in the neck that I am, correct your misspelling of the dear Dr.s lastname it is Hanegraaff, But to assure that HARVEST HOUSE PUBLISHERS did not misspell our brother in Christ last name I looked in the title page. But for sure it is spelled Hanegaaff. I did want to make sure beyond a shadow of a doubt, sounds almost biblical, I checked the Libary of Congress Catalogue-in- Publication Data. That read as Hanegraaff, Hank. I am aware that at times I spell like I failed the third grade, which indeed I did. So please forgive my true mistakes. However, names I really try extra hard to spell right. So maybe by the time I turn 75 I will have the spelling vocabulary of a sixth grader. agape, justme |

Dear Raven: I think being a Christian is proberly where more people classified as Christian, and they are but there are many beliefs that are so direct opposite. I say this to confirm we both are Christians and both have some basic christian teachings, but we have some very different perspectives. As assured there is, No once saved always saved, I would say oh yes that is! One of the basic planks of our faith is the holy Spirit seals us. But that is not significant enough to stop fellowship or caqll someone a non believer.I can assure there are many who as a tender child were aware they needed Jesus as their Saviour. Jesus said unless you come as a little child. My marriage partner was five, and grew as a baby in christ just as we all must. Scripture referes to satrting out on the sinscer milk of the Word. I have been with children most of life. In fact contrary to my grandchildrens thoughts, I once was one. I remember very clearly what was wrong or right. Any young girl or boy knows not to show or touch someone eleses privates. That is taught in public schools in Kindregarden! So please let me assure you God has given children a sence of wright and wrong. And yes right and wrong is taught as well as instinctive. I doubt the age of innocense may be some what different form child to child but by 10 I wold say that streches it pretty far. I think we are both very secure in our beliefs to defend then with scripture that could fill a hard drive. What is more important is how has Jesus changed us so everone can see Christ love in our attitude with others and with each other. Right? agape, justme |

2711 | Saved with Baptism? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 51193
Raven: Now we have had four children and five grandchildren. Are you trying to tell me a four year old does not know right from wrong? And if a ten year old can shoot a teacher then re think what you have said. AT A PREGNANCY CENTER WE HAVE HAD AN 11 YEAR OLF FATHER A CHILD! I think children are not children as long as they once were. How about the gangs? Do you have any doubt a 7 yeal old could pull a triger and shoot you dead! Oh yes, Raven, they could pluck you feathers real quick. Pun intended, not scarcasim, ok? agape, justme |

2712 | God's grace and truth? | John 1:17 | justme | 51190
If the tuuth shall set you free, then it seems to me that that grace and truth are different sides of the same coin. That's the way I see it. Oh read my question on baptismal regeneration and churches that bapyize small children. I bet I get clobbered for asking such a question. Oh well, I am a big target and hard to misss. Hope my answer to you give you a new perspective. agape, justme |

2713 | Saved with Baptism? | Not Specified | justme | 51187
I have seen a lot of dialogue about baptism. I want to know this. A lot of protestant churches baptise young children. Does that mean because of baptismal regeneration these young children have had their sins washed away? If so it would seem to me then all they have to do, is some time in their life just acknowledge Christand they are saved?

2716 | Is salvation that difficult? | Not Specified | justme | 51065
To all the Forum: How many have you led anyone to Jesus Christ altely? Is that not our number one purpose? I enjoy our open opinions, about what salvation is or is not, an if baptism is part of completing salvation, and even about works, and I can dig election and predestination. I like knowing how you all feel about which Bible is THE Best. What I can't understand is how complecated some make it to let Jesus Christ become a persons Saviour! Honest to pete I would hate to be with some of you in a sand doon in Egypt with no water and almost ready to die of thurst! You offer no hope and NO GOOD NEWS! Correct me if I am out of sink with this new gospel, but last time I knew GOSPEL ment GOOD NEWS! I am sure glad the Lord is mercifull and forgivening as He is. Because some of you if, you were in cahrge a lot of us might spend eternity in hell. Yes all the things you mention are very important! But salvation plus faith equals SALVATION. If not than for centuries the Gospel was wrongly presented. I agree that repentance, baptism, and maturing are all part of growth. I remind you a baby begins life when sperm and egg unite! That is life, at the very earliest. But the rest has a proper order. Some are so picky that it seems salvation is based on my attaching myself to the womb and growing. Not so dear friends. Think about if you are a choosen one who have you led to Christ lately? Quite quibbling about how many angels can sit on a head of a needel. I welcome all KIND coments. agape, justme |

2718 | What about repentence though? | Gen 15:6 | justme | 51062
Making Christ Lord, and repentance are two sodes of the same coin. Then toss it in the fountian and you have baptism. If there were a three sided coin that would be it. ahape, justme |
