2801 | Should women be allowed to preach? | Galatians | justme | 50081
Dear sufficient grace: please read Galations 3:28 and 5:6. Also use the Quick Search in the upper right of your screen than type in women church, or women pastors. This has been a regular topic for a long time. Perhaps from Adams time. I can use scripture to support both sides of this issue. Let me say women have been in ministry for over 200 years in this country. There have been women pastors, and there are many serving Christ today. For me it is a matter of culture, and bias, and how we understand scripture. I personally perfer to attend a church with a man as pastor. I would not feel unconfortable otherwise. However I can accept a woman as assistant pastor, youth pastor and women as Deacons. I was raised a Baptist, and they typically have a trustee, and deacon board. The church was run like a denocracy, where the members voted on everything! Now We attend a church that has an Pastor, Elder system. When they totally agree on an issue they bring it to the people and the people believe that these leaders have Gods leading, and we follow. This has been the very best I have ever seen a church work. Our church is growing, and so am I! So you see there are many ways to serve the Lord. You must serve with faith expressing itself in love, or it is not of the Lord. Should anyone doubt God uses women just read the gospels again and see how often women were there serving and caring. The Disciples cound not even stay awake to pray with Jesus. Who came to the tomb? I point out that God may be refered to as Father, but God is neither male or female. Us men would best be served to see that women are the more sensitive, and tender hearted. We can complement one another in the body of Christ if we do not lord it over and make a fellow child of the King feel less than we are. Remember scripture says to consider others more than our selver. Amen! End of sermon. agape, justme |

2803 | Scriptures verses banning incest? | Leviticus | justme | 50075
Dear Jungleman: Incest is most assurdly illegal. In fact if you know of a situation of incest and do not report it you can be held responsible for allowing it to continue. However there is no doubt that Cain had to have married a sister or niece. The gene pool was purer then and that was Gods way to populate the earth. However there are some genethisits that now say first cousins marring is not considered the risk that once was believed. In some states I have been told first cousins can marry. I still believe that when God gave us Livitical laws they were an end to allowing family inter-marriage. Hope this adds to your information. agape, justme |

2804 | bible reference to support remarrying | NT general Archive 1 | justme | 50074
I wanted you to think about your position a little more. To just make a blanket statement, with out thinking about the complete contex is stern. I think you are open to growth and wanted you to see things from a more mercyfull position. I do appreciate your brevity but sometimes a longer answer is needed. Peace. justme |

2805 | angels ascending? | John 1:51 | justme | 50008
Dear Brother Ray: Thank you as you were the only one who did not say scripture does not record this event any where. Well scripture does not contradict its self. I think you have as good an idea as I have thought just wanted to see if anyone else had ever wondered as I have. Thanks for you time. agape, justme |

2806 | bible reference to support remarrying | NT general Archive 1 | justme | 49969
Dear kkid: I would disagree with New Creature. There are many carnal christians who have fallen into sin of all types. Now, I want to carefully point out I believe divorce is not an option for a christian couple. Adultry is not a reqired for divorce, niether is it grounds for divorce. What is at the root of divorce? Pride and hardness of heart, pure sin! God hates sin! But loves the sinner. I would suggest that any couple can work out anything! "IF" they are willing to forgive and seek Gods will. That my friend is the problem. Sad but in a day when instant gratification is "a personal right" and no one is willing to pe patient and let God work, which may take several years. Usually one goes their own way and unites with a nother person. At that point there is no way to reunite the couple. What now? Does not God forgive all sin the same way? You would be free to remarry, but only a christian. One word of caution, most second marriages fave a failure rate double that of first marriages. I would suggest some heavy duty counseling with a very well qualfied degreed christian counselor. If you don't find out you what you failures were, you are certian to repeat them, with someone new. Marriage is a covenant, the higest form of contract. Be very certian you walk with God is seeking healing, and it may well not be possible for you to heal to the point you can remarry. Paul tells us marriage hampers our ability to serve Christ. Any person who feels incomplets being single has some issues to work at. We are not completed by the person we marry, but become joiny partners for life, and Christ. Hope this helps. agape, justme |

2809 | Why not Brothers? | 1 Cor 11:3 | justme | 49810
Deut.29:29 is a wise verse. There are some things that our minds acn not understand. I believe in the trinity, but explaining it is not a simple 1.2.3. The real issue is what have you done with jesus Christ and how has His love changed your life? Choose to disagree but do not be disagreable. Lear to love and respect and then you are open for the Holy Spirit to let you teach others and learn. If you lived to be 1000 years old you would still have only scrathced the surface. So I say peace. agape, justme. |

2810 | What is the right thing to do. | Luke 20:25 | justme | 49741
When these kind of issues come up might I suggest you just pray. Some thing like "Jesus what would bring glory to you in this situation?" I can assure you That you will have no doubt. And the need to ask others will lessen. Trust God for answers to your prayers. agape, justme |

Bless you ray. agape, justme |

2813 | Addressing your Father | 1 Pet 1:17 | justme | 49703
Dear Ray: I have been praying for you! I went through a cancer scare in Jan. and Feb. it turned out not to be. I clearly remember the day we were told they thought I had cancer. I came home and nealed by my bed. I just prayed for me and my family to be directly in Gods will. That is all I could ask for. I have called out to My Father, Lord, YHWH, and I am sure the Holy Spirit uttered my groanings right to the Lord. I am Glad to see you back! If you would feel like saying how you are doing I would be glad to hear. If you would rather I just continue to pray for you I shall. agape. justme |

2814 | Where was God when Jesus was here? | John 3:16 | justme | 49701
Thank you for your interest and kind remark. Look at Luke 2:41 to 52. We know that He was aware of what His Fathers business was then, which was when he was twelve. I have a hard time relating to what a perfect child would behave like. I most surely was not one, and neither were any of our four! I do know of all the people on earth in the past or present or future only Mary was right to be his mother, and Joseph to be His step father. Now that is awasome to me, even to think about.I am sure Jesus developed just as we all do. If Jesus did not, than Jesus can not relate to us as He says He does. I am sure potty training, learning to speak, and becoming physically mature Jesus experienced what all boys do. Hebrews 4:14 to 5:10 gives some more detail. Jesus was Fully God and Fully human. That was the only way Jesus could be the final sacrifice for our sins. Fully human able to sin, but did not, to save me and who ever will make him their LORD. JESUS ENDED THE SACRIFICAL SYSTEM, AS THE FINAL BLOOD OFFERING FOR ALL MANKIND. How wonderful! That is mercy, grace, love, all rolled up in one. No, I do not believe Jesus was simultaneously in more than one place. Remember Jesus in the Garden Paryed to His Father that if there was any other way to save mankink to please let the cup pass from Him. Jesus was often alone praying with the Father. As we need to as well, and I confess my serious failing in prayer. I hope this helps some. agape, justme |

2815 | The 9 Manifestations in I Cor 12 | 1 Corinthians | justme | 49699
No,I ment Romans 14:1. We are to accept people who we mighy consider different. Perhaps one who speaks in tongues thinks that is an assurance of high spirituality. Yet someone else feels the gift of teaching is greater than togues. If we respect and show love to each other is that not even greater? I have never failed to see this issue of tongues divide believers, when in fact it shouls unite us. I am in no way braging, I have spoken in a prayer tongue once, and I did not pray for in, I know it was real. I have no problem, except I would prefer to let my gifts be manifasted where others tell me that they see God at work in me through the gift He has given me. agape, justme |

2816 | The gift of Tongues | 1 Corinthians | justme | 49697
Dear friend in no way do I know more than any translator. I am sorry for any thing that gave that impression. I do read what other wiser and more up to date translators say. I have no problem with the KJV, in fact it makes no difference to me if you read from the orignal 1611 version, it still has what is essential for growth an to speak to who ever will take the time to read it. May I suggest that that you seem to be rather raw in the nerves when tongues come up. I defend you right to express anything you want and feel is a way of showing how Gods love has brought you closer to Him with whatever gitt you have.Just please respect those who do not have that gift, and don't expect everyone to understand you spiritual growth. We all mature at different paces. Maturity tales a life time not a quick few years. I am you brother in Christ and you have the right to expect love amd kindness from me and every one else in the Forum! That is Christ command and I hope I am following that. Agape, justme |

2817 | What does the term 'Son' mean? | John 3:16 | justme | 49594
In John 3:16 in greek only begotten is "monogenes" which means that as the Son of God He was the sole representative of the Being and character of the One who sent Him. Jesus possesses every attribute of the pure Godhead. Jesus created all things from the begining. Please read Colossians 1:15 to 23. This explains this in very detailed manner. agape. justme |

2818 | 1) A man who has his quiver full of them | Genesis | justme | 49593
Quiver is mentioned in Gen.27:3 for hunters, also Job 39:23, Isiah 22:6 for soldiers, and speakin figuratively of children in Psalms 127:5 also of the Mwssiah in Isiah 49:2. A quiver was a case for carrying arrows. In your question I believe it referes to a man is happy with and blessed with his children, not to mention his wife whom with out her he would have no QUIVER to be full. agape, justme |
