261 | what time was evening sacrifice | Dan 9:21 | CDBJ | 220837
Greetings and welcome to the forum. The sacrifice was at 3:00 Jewish time and it was the Passover feast which took place on the 14Th of Nisan. The Passover lamb was to be picked out on the 10th of Nisan which that year was a Sunday, the day that Jesus came riding into Jerusalem on the foal. He was literally picked that day and four days later at exactly time of 3:00 o’clock He was sacrificed as the perfect lamb of God. The next day was a high Sabbath not a regular Saturday Sabbath as many think so it was mandatory that he be taken down and buried by 6:00 o’clock, in what we would call the evening but to the Jews it was the 15th of Nisan in the morning and the beginning of the feast of unleavened bread which lasted for seven days. Jesus was already dead on Wednesday and was in the earth as He stated for three day and nights. The first Sunday during the feast of unleavened bread contained a feast within a feast, and on Sunday Jesus arose from the grave during the feast of first fruits; Jesus Himself is the first fruit from the dead. The feast represented the spring feast of the barley pointing to the fact that the latter rain feast or the fall feast was to be the wheat harvest and much larger of which all believers will be a part. All of the feast, demanded by God in Lev. 23, point to the work that God would perform in the person of His Son. The first four were accomplished at Christ’s first coming and the last three feasts will be completed at His second coming. The next spring feast was the feast of weeks or Shavuot which was seventy times seven or 49 days with the celebration being of the 50th day and referred to as Pentecost. These four feast where in the spring and tied in with the former rains. When Christ returns it will be as the latter rains and the remaining feast will be fulfilled. Hosea 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. I hope this helps and I hope you enjoy the forum, CDBJ |

263 | will there be animals in heaven | Bible general Archive 4 | CDBJ | 220693
Hi Doc, I agree with your answer with the exception of the reference to horses that are mentioned in Revelation. There is a book out called, “Heaven” by Randy Alcorn that has really been a blessing to me; I love animals and he points out verses that expound on the fact that animals will be with us where we will be spending eternity with the Lord. Col. 1:16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. The Lord saw fit to make all of the animals that we know of now, why would He do any different when he creates a new heaven and a new earth. It pleased Him the first time and all of creation is waiting for the new creation including the animals. Romans 8:22-23 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. The Lord might even bless us with our precious pets that have passed on and that not because of anything they have done but because of man’s sin. It’s a possibility that could come to fruition and they could be with us again. I might end up with black cat hair all over my nice white rob but I’ll love it! CDBJ |

264 | Revelation 20:15 | Revelation | CDBJ | 220524
Greetings Aileen, Your statement in part, “I would tell the Lord I have believed in Him all of my life” That’s a rather hard thing to do since we are actually born physically alive but at the same time we are born spiritually dead thus the need to be born again. There has to be a point a some time in your life when your experienced the following John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Couple that with the following. John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Are you “absolutely sure” that you would have eternal life with God after you take your last breath on this side of heaven or is this something that you don’t have “absolute positive proof of as yet”, and you are hoping for? Your connotation of the word repent might make a big difference with regards to the Bible’s meaning and it’s better to be safe then sorry. What is your estimation of the word repent? Ephes. 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not of works, lest anyone should boast. Titus 3:5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, Have you experienced the action of the previous verse? Many “assume” that they have salvation because of something they have done but they aren’t positively sure when it come right down to it, i.e. they haven’t received the proof of the witness of the Holy Spirit. 1 John 5:10 (A) He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; They are literally sealed by God Himself when they truly believe. Ephes. 1:13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, Just trying to help, CDBJ |

Hi Aileen, I didn’t mean to get you all confused, lets try this a different way. This is hypothetical, but lets say if you were to die tomorrow and you found yourself standing face to face with the Lord and He were to say to you; Aileen why should I let you come into my Kingdom? What do you think you would say to Him? That’s an awesome thought and you are the only one that knows what you yourself would personally say. Now I haven’t used scripture to put you on the spot as it were, so how would you answer or what would be your reply? Don’t panic, it’s just hypothetical anyway, CDBJ |

267 | Explanation of Ezekiel 44 | Bible general Archive 4 | CDBJ | 220477
This might help; it’s from the (Bible Knowledge Commentary). The temple ministers (chap. 44) 44:1-3. Ezekiel had been standing in the inner court of the temple, receiving instructions about the altar there (43:5). Now he was led out of the inner court to the east gate of the outer court, and it was shut. This gate at the outer court opened toward the Kidron Valley and the Mount of Olives. Ezekiel had just seen the Lord enter it on His return to His temple (43:4). God’s presence had hallowed the gate. Therefore it is to remain shut because the LORD, the God of Israel, has entered through it. No one else will be allowed to tread through the gate which God Himself had entered. Some have thought that the “Golden Gate” of Jerusalem, now sealed, is the gate spoken of here. However, the dimensions of the “Golden Gate” do not correspond with Ezekiel’s gate, which is still future. Only one person will be allowed to enter through the east gate complex: the prince himself (cf. 46:2). This prince has already been identified as King David (cf. 34:24; 37:24-25). He will be allowed to eat in the gate, possibly referring to the fellowship offerings which the worshipers will eat after offering them to the Lord (cf. Lev. 7:15-21). The portico (vestibule) faces the outer court (see the eastern G1 in the sketch “The Millennial Temple,” near Ezek. 40:1-4), so David, going east, will enter the gate complex from the outer court. Hi Justme, If one responds to the following verse then they don’t have to be concerned with their age, the Lord will take them home when their mission for Him is over! Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Hi Again Aileen, When the Bible speaks of believing in Jesus, Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Greetings Behumble and welcome to the forum. It’s been somewhat of an unwritten rule that the forum members shy away from answering questions that are proposed by those that are trying to acquire an education in Bible classes or seminary classes. The object of the classes is to teach students how to dig out biblical answers from Scripture on their own not receive help from a worldwide network of Christians from a forum. 2 Tim. 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. Don’t you think that’s a little bit on the shady side? CDBJ |

280 | When were saints of the OT born again? | Not Specified | CDBJ | 219748
After accidentally considering several verses alongside each other I’ve come up with a perplexing question. I will start with the verses that influenced my trend of thought then ask for you input. John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." (Critical point: unless one is born again) (Further consideration: he cannot enter into the kingdom of God apart from being born again!) John 3:5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 1st premise: There is a necessity of the utmost importance that one must be “born again” if they wish to enter heaven. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. 2nd Premise from the following verse: at this particular point in time Jesus was the only begotten Son of God. The way is open for others to become sons or offspring of God is shown in the next verse. John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, The next verse to consider speaks of the first-born, i.e. there “will be more” but Jesus is the first. Hebrews 1:6 And when He again brings the first-born into the world, He says, "AND LET ALL THE ANGELS OF GOD WORSHIP HIM." 3rd premise Jesus was the “first of many” to come due to the use of the word “first-born” now instead of only begotten; forethought is the consideration of sons to come. (We are getting closer to the postulate and here is what I like to call the zinger.) When where the believers of the Old Testament actually born again, considering John 3:5 is a must and comparing it to the fact that Jesus was the first born among many brethren. Romans 8:28 I personally think the answer might resides somewhere in the following verse by I would like more input into the matter. 1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, (Finally the question) Could this be “part of the reason” that the souls of the Old Testament believers were restrained in sheol and not born again until the sacrifice of the lamb of God was resurrected and the Old Testament saints weren’t actually born again until, as 1 peter states in 1:3, “be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”? This verse should likely be included. Ephes. 4:8 Therefore it says, "WHEN HE ASCENDED ON HIGH, HE LED CAPTIVE A HOST OF CAPTIVES, AND HE GAVE GIFTS TO MEN." Thanks ahead for your response, CDBJ |
