Aften1, You said, "In the two verses listed here one says the time is at hand, 2 Thessalonians was written about two thousand years ago." Psalm 90:4 For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it is past, And like a watch in the night. 2 Peter 3 3knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation." 5For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. 7But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us,[2] not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. So what was your point in noting 2 thousand years? Is the bible too old to believe? Pastor Glenn |

The Holy Spirit (supplying spiritual ears)is the decoder. If you have not been born again you cannot understand the Gospel of Christ, let alone prophecy: 2 Corinthians 4 3But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. Matthew 13:14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: "Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive; Acts 28:26 saying, "Go to this people and say: "Hearing you will hear, and shall not understand; And seeing you will see, and not perceive; Rev 3 6"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."' |

Your entire post is based on...??? This reminds me of what Jesus said to the woman at the well: John 4 22You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. Where is your scripture? You complained to others to use scripture, but you have no problem ignoring God's word and applying your own. |

John 10:30 I and My Father are one." John 20:28 Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!" John 1 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. Rev 19 6And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the[4] Lord God Omnipotent reigns! 7Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready." 8And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. "Which is greater Pastor Glenn - the truth or a belief?" What do you mean by that? The truth is that Jesus is God. This is what the scripture is teaching. You are the only one trying to push your own personal beliefs about many universes and many incarnations!? Your ideas are just plain weird and have no bases in scripture. christ anointed, the Greek translation of the Hebrew word rendered "Messiah" (q.v.), the official title of our Lord, occurring five hundred and fourteen times in the New Testament. It denotes that he was anointed or consecrated to his great redemptive work as Prophet, Priest, and King of his people. He is Jesus the Christ (Acts 17:3; 18:5; Matt. 22:42), the Anointed One. He is thus spoken of by Isaiah (61:1), and by Daniel (9:24-26), who styles him "Messiah the Prince." The Messiah is the same person as "the seed of the woman" (Gen. 3:15), "the seed of Abraham" (Gen. 22:18), the "Prophet like unto Moses" (Deut. 18:15), "the priest after the order of Melchizedek" (Ps. 110:4), "the rod out of the stem of Jesse" (Isa. 11:1, 10), the "Immanuel," the virgin's son (Isa. 7:14), "the branch of Jehovah" (Isa. 4:2), and "the messenger of the covenant" (Mal. 3:1). This is he "of whom Moses in the law and the prophets did write." The Old Testament Scripture is full of prophetic declarations regarding the Great Deliverer and the work he was to accomplish. Jesus the Christ is Jesus the Great Deliverer, the Anointed One, the Saviour of men. This name denotes that Jesus was divinely appointed, commissioned, and accredited as the Saviour of men (Heb. 5:4; Isa. 11:2-4; 49:6; John 5:37; Acts 2:22). To believe that "Jesus is the Christ" is to believe that he is the Anointed, the Messiah of the prophets, the Saviour sent of God, that he was, in a word, what he claimed to be. This is to believe the gospel, by the faith of which alone men can be brought unto God. That Jesus is the Christ is the testimony of God, and the faith of this constitutes a Christian (1 Cor. 12:3; 1 John 5:1). Je'sus, the proper, as Christ is the official, name of our Lord. To distinguish him from others so called, he is spoken of as "Jesus of Nazareth" (John 18:7), and "Jesus the son of Joseph" (John 6:42). This is the Greek form of the Hebrew name Joshua, which was originally Hoshea (Num. 13:8, 16), but changed by Moses into Jehoshua (Num. 13:16; 1 Chr. 7:27), or Joshua. After the Exile it assumed the form Jeshua, whence the Greek form Jesus. It was given to our Lord to denote the object of his mission, to save (Matt. 1:21). Aften1, The bottom line is that Jesus must be accepted before approaching the Father. Pastor Glenn |

Aften1, But Jesus "was" saying that He was God. He could not be "too explicit" or Satan would not have allowed them to carry out God's plan of redemption of man at the cross of Jesus: 1 Corinthians 2 7But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 8which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. The Deity of Christ is taught throughout scripture. Especially in the New Testament from after the crucifixion on. Satan knew scriptures concerning Christ, but did not totally understand how the head of the serpent would be bruised (Gen 3:15), or how men from Abel until now would be saved by faith in Jesus Christ (Hebrews 11-12). All true Christains understand these truths. If you do not understand then you might as well see the Jews and ask to be circumcised into their religion, because you cannot approach the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob unless you come His Way. Read the teachings in the book of Acts such as: Acts 2 29"Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,[5] 31he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption. 32This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. 33Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear. 34"For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself: "The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, 35Till I make Your enemies Your footstool."' Aften1, You said, "You have not provided a verse in the Bible that says one must accept Christ before they can serve Father." 1 John 2 22Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. 1 John 4 1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3and every spirit that does not confess that[1] Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. You said, "Now show me a verse were Jesus lays claim to be God? You will not because he is Immanuels Son ... Son of God. Not to worry because Immanuel came unto his own (incarnate Angels on Earth)..." Immanuel is Jesus. The Father is not Immanuel. I already posted scriptures where Jesus claimed to be God. Here they are again: Mark 14 61But He kept silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, "Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?" 62Jesus said, "I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven." 63Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, "What further need do we have of witnesses? 64You have heard the blasphemy! What do you think?" You do indeed need to understand "Christ" the Massiah, the promised One of Israel. Hebrews 11 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them,[3] embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad." Pastor Glenn |

Aften1, You said, "Am I Christian? I stand in service to Father and the honor is mine." Well, you must accept Christ before you serve the Father. God requires total perfection. This can be achieved only by receiving the rightiousness of Christ: Ezekiel 33:13 When I say to the righteous that he shall surely live, but he trusts in his own righteousness and commits iniquity, none of his righteous works shall be remembered; but because of the iniquity that he has committed, he shall die. Luke 18 9 Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10"Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, "God, I thank You that I am not like other men--extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.' 13And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, "God, be merciful to me a sinner!' 14I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." We need the pardon that only comes from Jesus: Isaiah 55 7Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. Aften1, You said, "2. Jesus never claimed to be God." However; Jesus Himself tied Isaiah's prophecies of Messiah to Himself: Mark 14 61But He kept silent and answered nothing. What do you think?" And they all condemned Him to be deserving of death. Matt 26 63But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, "I put You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!" 64Jesus said to him, "It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven." 65Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, "He has spoken blasphemy! What further need do we have of witnesses? Look, now you have heard His blasphemy! 66What do you think?" They answered and said, "He is deserving of death." John 10 24Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, "How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly." 25Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father's name, they bear witness of Me. 26But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.[2] 27My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. 30I and My Father are one." Renewed Efforts to Stone Jesus 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. 32Jesus answered them, "Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?" 33The Jews answered Him, saying, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God." The Jews show that they recognized this by saying "...You, being a Man, make Yourself God." Pastor Glenn |

Aften1, You said, "Show me the verse Bradk where "YOU" are saved by grace? Romans 5:8 was written by Paul for the people of that day and life. ..." Let me guess, you are trying to find Christian scriptures from a New World Translation bible? From your previous posts you: 1. Do not believe in the Trinity. 2. Do not accept Jesus as truly deity that died for our sins. 3. Do not believe in salvation by grace. 4. Believe your works are required for salvation. 5. Are unable to find key scriptures that are the bases of the historic Christian faith. 6. Cannot see that Jesus Christ is the Emmanuel of the Old Testament. If this is the case then of course you cannot find key scriptures concerning Jesus Christ. This is why Christians start with the Hebrew scriptures. The New Testament fits perfectly with Hebrew scriptures that are accepted by the Jews today and of Jesus' day. The Jews did not tamper with the Old Testament scriptures, but the false prophets of the Jahovah's Witnesses Watchtower Society did! If they were not afraid to tamper with the Old Testament, then what about the New? Pastor Glenn |

CDBJ, I also hope that Tony Hall's original question has been answered sufficiently. And I hope these continuing questions of Jesus' human nature and sinlessness does not confuse him even more. I think we all agree on these points: 1. Jesus had to be the seed of the woman. (Chistians are His spiritual offspring.) 2. He had to be without spot or blemish. (Adam had the chance but blew it.) 3. He had to have power to rise from the dead. (only God could) 4. He had to have power to forgive sins. (only God could) Your quotes from Romans 5:12-19 are good. Pastor Glenn |

253 | Is Jesus Gods son? | Heb 1:5 | Pastor Glenn | 71057
CDBJ, You are right. I meant to say that He had a body like ours. However, even after reading the scriptures that you mentioned, How did Christ avoid having the sin nature of the flesh? He was still the "seed of the woman" genetically in the flesh. Isn't the real key to this issue the fact that Christ walked continually after the spirit rather than the flesh? Even at 12 years old He said that He must be about His father's business. Wasn't He tempted in all points like us? Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. How is that possible if his flesh had no lust? Isn't the real difference that Christ kept His flesh under subjection to His spirit, even from birth to the crucifixion? Pastor Glenn |

254 | does prayer produce measureable results? | Matt 16:4 | Pastor Glenn | 69405
You are right about that EdB. God is doing great miracles here everyday, but we don't always pay attention. Like when the firemen stayed with one woman in a wheelchair at the WTC on 9/11. God saved them after the building collapsed. Also, the 9 men who were trapped in a mine a few months ago. Many of us prayed for them and one led them in prayer in their midst. God delivered them. My assistant pastor is a former drug dealer. He and his wife are also former drug abusers just a few years ago. God delivered them and now they are among my biggest helpers at our church in the heart of Chicago, IL. God has blessed me personally to quickly find new employment after only 5 weeks of being laid off. My present engineering job pays double what I was making before so I am well blessed to provide for my wife and 8 children. Yes, one wife and eight children. Did I stutter brother? God is still performing great miracles indeed. Pastor Glenn |

255 | Are you a true believer? | Rom 8:39 | Pastor Glenn | 68233
Exactly, The question was incomplete. The question is usually incomplete when we sin also: "I have sinned, so did I just loose my salvation?" The first question should be: 1. Was I saved to begin with? 2. If yes, then was I walking in the spirit or in the flesh? 3. If I was walking in the flesh, then I am carnal. So how do I get a closer walk with the Lord? Have I been filled with the Spirit? We must be willing to do whatever it takes to get free from the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life: Matthew 5 Adultery in the Heart 27 "You have heard that it was said to those of old,[3] "You shall not commit adultery.'[4] 28But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. 30And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. Matthew 18:8"If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. 9And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire. |

No, God did not make mistakes! When you raise children and do all you can to teach them the right way to go, it may make you sorry you had them too. But it is not your fault that they sinned. God desires a rightious seed: Malachi 2:15 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. |

confusing, Hell was made for Satan and his fallen angels. Man does not go to hell because God made him, but because God set laws and told man the consequences if he should align himself with Satan. You are blaming God for setting laws. Yes, if He did not set laws then it there would be no standard for whether Adam would love or hate God. Adam's bad choice caused death to the "tree" of man and his seed (us). We are a continuing dying life line from Adam. But, Jesus is the second Adam that gives every man the choice for life. It is not God's fault that some choose Satan's way. Pastor Glenn |

258 | Is God's will prosperity/healing always? | Rom 8:28 | Pastor Glenn | 67675
EdB, I tried not to say anything more than what the scripture said. Maybe it was too much context: 1 Tim 6 6Now godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain[3] we can carry nothing out. 8And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. 9But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. This scripture is often ignored since men lust for riches. Pastor Glenn |

259 | Is God's will prosperity/healing always? | Rom 8:28 | Pastor Glenn | 67667
EdB, Here is scripture thaty is ignored: 1 Tim 6 Error and Greed 3 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, 4he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, 5useless wranglings[1] of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.[2] 6Now godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain[3] we can carry nothing out. 8And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. 9But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. ... Instructions to the Rich 17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. 18Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, 19storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. God Bless, Pastor Glenn |

260 | Why does Jesus have 2 genealogies? | Rom 1:18 | Pastor Glenn | 67545
ateo, The relevance is by not having a relationship with God, there is no hope of understanding His word since Jesus said that His words are spirit and they are life. Just as we cannot go to the moon without the proper vehical, we cannot study God's spiritual things without a spiritual nature from God: Job 37:5 God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. Ecclesiastes 11:5 As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed [ 11:5 Or [ know how life ] (or [ the spirit ] ) / enters the body being formed ] in a mother's womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. 1 Corinthians 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. Come back to God ateo: Isaiah 55 6 Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD , and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. 8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD . 9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
