Truthfinder, Please notice other scriptures also: Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. [ 6:4 Or [ The ] LORD [ our God is one ] LORD ; or The LORD is our God, the LORD is one ; or The LORD is our God, the LORD alone ] Isaiah 42:8 I am the LORD, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images. Isaiah 48:11 For My own sake, for My own sake, I will do it; For how should My name be profaned? And I will not give My glory to another. John 17 1 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, 2as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should[1] give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. 3And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. 4I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. 5And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. How do you reconcile these scriptures, even in the NWT, I am sure that Jehovah glorifies the Son (John 17:1-5) after saying in Is 42:8 and 48:11 that He would no give His Glory to another? This is why we believe that Jesus is Jehovah. Pastor Glenn |

Truthfinder, I like your conclusion: "And Heb. 1:8-12 reads, NWT, ” 8 But with reference to the Son: “God is your throne forever And Psalm 102:25 reads, NWT, 25 Long ago you laid the foundations of the earth itself, And the heavens are the work of your hands. Here the psalmist was talking about Jehovah God, but the apostle Paul applied these words to Jesus Christ as you say in Hebrews 1:10, 11 As it turns out, these words apply to Jesus, for he acted as Jehovah’s Agent in creating the universe just as Colossians 1:15, 16 tells us. So Jesus, too, could be said to have “laid the foundations of the earth.” Yes, all three were involved in creating the universe and man. (Let us..), God’s active force or holy, God’s Son and he himself. Truthfinder" I wanted to point out that since it is impossible to come to the Father without Christ, Jesus is far more than just an agent. A client can bypass his agent if he so desires. But Christ cannot be bypassed: Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." John 14 6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7If you really knew me, you would know[2] my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." 8Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us." 9Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? 10Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. 12I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. 14You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. (NKJV) Also, since Jesus is our creator, He is Jehovah. Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. Nehemiah 9:6 You alone are the LORD . You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you. Psalm 69:34 Let heaven and earth praise him, the seas and all that move in them, Psalm 146:6 the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them- the LORD , who remains faithful forever. Acts 4:24 When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. "Sovereign Lord," they said, "you made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them. Acts 14:15 "Men, why are you doing this? We too are only men, human like you. We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made heaven and earth and sea and everything in them. Revelation 5:13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!" Revelation 10:6 And he swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, and said, "There will be no more delay! Revelation 14:7 He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water." Greetings Truthfinder, You said: "I have several other Bible translations of which I am reading the verses you quote, in particular Hebrews 1:8. And you know what? Different thoughts are expressed, depending on the Bible version. And you are correct in all that you say in your post concerning Hebrews 1:8 being a quotation of Psalm 45:6 and I certainly see why you conclude that Jesus would be one and the same as Jehovah." I am glad we found some common ground to focus on. " Again, I say this because of the way the translations, versions render these passages. Due to the fact that there are at least two renderings and two ideas conveyed, one at least, is wrong. Both could be wrong but at least one is wrong. If you have a leaning toward accepting the trinity doctrine which rendering will you support? Likewise, if you feel the Bible does not teach the trinity then which rendering would you support? The answer is obvious. Perhaps you were not aware of this. This is the key that I mention again and again. In posts past, I have shown and explained many verses that had been mis-translated and some that have been changed, and some that have been added to support the trinity. This is all unacceptable. This is totally heretical. I am sure you are disagreeing with me now because you feel the trinity is "holy" and indeed taught by God through his Word the Bible." This is why it is better to set trinity discussion aside for now as we determine the question of Jesus being Jehovah. This is the key. Since it is your favorite version, I want to know what the NWT has to say in Psalm 102. "Again please answer for me this question; How do you feel about all this? Do you feel it wrong to remove say just one word from the Bible or to just change a word to something else?" Yes, it is wrong to change the scripture. But, this is a brick wall to say which side is changing it. "An in depth study of Hebrews 1:8, shows first that it is addressed to the Son of God, but can be rendered either, “Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever,” or, “God is thy throne for ever and ever,” since there is no verb “is” in either the Greek or in the Hebrew at Psalm 45:6, from which this is a quotation. In keeping with its principles to honor God and remain consistent with the rest of the Scriptures, the New World Translation here reads: “God is your throne forever.” " I would like to know whether you see the NWT is consistant in translating to “God is your throne forever.” in both places: Psalm 45:6, as well as, Hebrew 1:8. What does it say? The same with Psalm 102:25-27 compared to Heb 1:10-12? Pastor Glenn |

Truthfinder, Part 2... You and I both agree that the only true God is Jehovah. I believe the term ‘Jehovah’ refers to the very divine being, the eternal God, who created all things. You would agree with me that the Father is Jehovah, would you not? Where we disagree is this: I believe the Bible says that Jesus Christ is Jehovah, and the Spirit is also Jehovah. Each of the three persons shares the one divine name, Jehovah. May I show you one of the places where the Bible teaches us that Jesus IS “Jehovah“? I note some of the important verses in passing, such as Hebrews 1:3, which speaks of Christ as the "exact representation of his nature." Heb 1 (NKJV) 3who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. 5 For to which of the angels did He ever say: "You are My Son, Today I have begotten You"? [Psalm 2:7] And again: "I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son"? [Psalm 2:7] 6But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: "Let all the angels of God worship Him." [Deuteronomy 32:43 (Septuagint, Dead Sea Scrolls); Psalm 97:7 ] 7And of the angels He says: "Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire." [Psalm 104:4] 8But to the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. Truthfinder, I now ask, who is being discussed all through this passage? The answer is plainly the Son. 9You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions." [Psalm 45:6, 7] The citation that begins in verse 8 finishes in verse 9, following which says, "And: ‘You at [the] beginning, O Lord, laid the foundations of the earth itself, and the heavens are [the] works of your hands.’" 10And: "You, LORD, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands. 11They will perish, but You remain; And they will all grow old like a garment; 12Like a cloak You will fold them up, And they will be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not fail." [Psalm 102:25-27] 13But to which of the angels has He ever said: "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool"? [Psalm 110:1] Now, who is being described here? The only possible answer is "the Son." Say whatever you wish, as long as we agree on the fact that Hebrews 1:10-12 is still making reference to the Son. The passage being cited, according to the cross references is Psalm 102:25-27. Begin at verse 1 of Psalm 102 and identify the individual being addressed in the passage. The scripture begins, "O Jehovah, do hear my prayer." Skip down to verse 12 and notice that Jehovah remains the subject of the psalm. Point out that Jehovah continues to appear in verses 19 and 20 . This is important because once you get to verse 25 the significance of the words will be manifest. Jehovah is addressed in the very same words that the writer to the Hebrews uses of the Son, Jesus Christ! I want to make it clear that there is no reason to think that anyone other than Jehovah is being addressed by the psalmist in Psalm 102:25-27. The New Testament writers took an Old Testament passage originally about Jehovah Himself and applied it to the Lord Jesus Christ. This passage is exceptionally strong, for the psalmist is speaking of the immutability, eternal nature, and creative power of Jehovah God, yet the writer to the Hebrews is willing to predicate all these things of Jesus Christ. Truthfinder, “.......The scriptures that you give show the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ........ When you say "deity" of the Lord Jesus Christ do you mean Jesus is a mighty spirit being that has been given all authority in the universe and was maker of both the angels in heaven and material universe eons of time ago? Well certainly, I totally agree. “ No, He was not “given” all authority, He already had it throughout eternity. He was not created. You confuse scripture that refers to His incarnation or resurrection with His pre-incarnate existence. The Word laid aside His power for the incarnation. “But if you mean that our Lord Jesus is the God that Jesus told Satan at Mat. 4:10 you must render sacred service that I will have to agree with Jesus and not you. “ 10Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you,[4] Satan! For it is written, "You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve."'[Deuteronomy 6:13 You shall fear the LORD your God and serve Him, and shall take oaths in His name. ] “Yes, the deity of Christ must be relative, otherwise the ransom sacrifice is nullified, Jesus really is not God's "only-begotten son", and each time Jesus called his Father "God" was meaningless. Can you imagine the Father ever saying, "My God" in reference to his son? I can't and don't think any reasonable person would. “ Mark 12:36 For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: "The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool."'[12:36 Psalm 110:1] “…But if he had been Almighty God himself then where is the love of offering himself on behalf of mankind. No he offered his beloved "son" as a ransom for "all". “ “No greater dishonor can be done to our heavenly Father than to take his beloved name out of his Holy Book as most "modern" translations have done so as to mislead its readers to believing that He and His Son are one and the same. Don't you get it? That was the reason Jehovah was originally in his Holy Word. If he didn't want it in there why did he put it there 7,000 times. No one on this forum has answered that question since I periodically ask it over the past 6 months. Why do so many people who call themselves "Christian" even dispise God's name Jehovah? Many even say that Jehovah isn't his name because we don't know how it was pronounced in Hebrew! What a copout. They readily use all the other names in their English for, including Jesus! So, you see Pastor Glenn, I believe the Word of God and I believe it when it says Jehovah is the Almighty God and his Son is not Almighty God but indeed his Son. Truthfinder” OK Truthfinder, I’ll accept “Jehovah” as God’s name. Let’s also keep the NWT. I believe in the Trinity because the Bible teaches the doctrine. It does so not by using the specific word "Trinity," but by teaching the three pillars that make up the doctrine: First, that there is only one true God, Jehovah, Creator of all things. Surely you agree with me there. Next, that there are three divine Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I realize you do not believe the Holy Spirit is a person, but you do agree that the Father and the Son are not the same person, correct? Finally, the third pillar, the point on which we are in direct disagreement, is the Bible’s teaching of the full equality of these divine persons. This would include the deity of Christ and the personality of the Holy Spirit. It is important not to misunderstand me. We are not asserting that there are three “persons” that are one person, nor that there are three “beings” that are one being. We are differentiating between the terms “being” and “person“. All things have being, but only God, humans, and angels are personal. I as a human being am one person, Eugene Glenn. My “being” makes me human, my personality differentiates me from all other human beings. Since my “being” is finite and limited, only one “person” can properly subsist in it, namely, me. But since God’s “being” is infinite and unlimited, it can be, and is, shared by three persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Can I illustrate this from Scripture? Since you believe the Trinity is a false doctrine derived from Greek philosophy, you probably feel that I won’t be able to support my position using the bible. (continued on next post...) Truthfinder, The scriptures that you give show the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. Rev 3 14 "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans[6] write, "These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: We see this as referring to Jesus, after His ressurection, as the firstborn of a new spiritual order of beings. He is the second Adam in the sence that all that have faith in Him can become part of God's family. Col 1 15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. Can't you see why He must be God? Not merely "a god"? All scripture pointed to Him to save all that accept Him throughout time. Abraham saw Him. Job saw Him. Jacob wrestled with Him. The mercy seat in the Ark of the covenant represented Him. No one can stand in for God like that. He must "be" God. John 1 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. 18No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son,[6] who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. 1 Cor 8 5For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), 6yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live. Jesus Christ is not just a "junior partner" to God. A junior partner could not be allowed to stand in for salvation of all men for all time. Truthfinder, throw that NWT away and read Hebrews 11-12 again. Read John chapter 1 again and Hebrews chapter 1 again. A junior partner would have had to say "and I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto the father". But instead He said: Joh 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. Only God can say that. Pastor Glenn |

Truthfinder, Even "if" the word "created" were accepted instead of "possesed", this implies the God had no wisdom at some point before creating it. God has not changed. 22"The LORD possessed me at the beginning of His way, Before His works of old. 23I have been established from everlasting, From the beginning, before there was ever an earth. 24When there were no depths I was brought forth, When there were no fountains abounding with water. 25Before the mountains were settled, Before the hills, I was brought forth; 26While as yet He had not made the earth or the fields, Or the primal dust of the world. 27When He prepared the heavens, I was there, When He drew a circle on the face of the deep, 28When He established the clouds above, When He strengthened the fountains of the deep, 29When He assigned to the sea its limit, So that the waters would not transgress His command, When He marked out the foundations of the earth, 30Then I was beside Him as a master craftsman;[2] And I was daily His delight, Rejoicing always before Him, 31Rejoicing in His inhabited world, And my delight was with the sons of men. You said: "But scholars acknowledge that the context here points to the rendering “produced” or “created,” since verses 24 and 25 speak of Wisdom as being “brought forth as with labor pains.”" 25Before the mountains were settled, Before the hills, I was brought forth; "brought forth" is as in brought to the front. God used His "wisdom" and "understanding": Proverbs 3:19 The LORD by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding He established the heavens; Are you next going to tell us that "understanding" was also a created being? Or what about "knowledge", who is he??? Pastor Glenn |

TheCurtMan, This is a difficult question. However, examine this scripture and notice the ups and downs that Paul and Barnabas faced before finally being expelled. It was then that they shook the dust off their feet: Act 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. Act 13:40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets; Act 13:41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you. Act 13:42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. Act 13:43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. Act 13:44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. Act 13:45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. Act 13:46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. Act 13:47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. Act 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. Act 13:49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region. Act 13:50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts. Act 13:51 But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium. Act 13:52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost. Also, remember that longsuffering is a fruit of the Spirit. As for the tares, Jesus said for us to let the wheat and tares grow together: Mat 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: Mat 13:25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. Mat 13:26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. Mat 13:27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? Mat 13:28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? Mat 13:29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Mat 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. I do feel that the tares are those that are "the natural man". The best thing for us is to learn to hear the voice of God through the Holy Spirit as He leads us. Pastor Glenn |

Please read the entire Psalm 51 and make arrangements to see your pastor. Also seek an older and stronger married woman that you can trust to talk to about this. That is not always easy to find someone you can trust. But, it may help you emotionally and spiritually. Psalm 51 A Prayer of Repentance To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. 1 Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. 2Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin. 3For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me. 4Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your sight-- That You may be found just when You speak,[1] And blameless when You judge. 5Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me. 6Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom. 7Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. 8Make me hear joy and gladness, That the bones You have broken may rejoice. 9Hide Your face from my sins, And blot out all my iniquities. 10Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. 12Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. 13Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted to You. 14Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, The God of my salvation, And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness. 15O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise. 16For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. 17The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart-- These, O God, You will not despise. 18Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion; Build the walls of Jerusalem. 19Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, With burnt offering and whole burnt offering; Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar. |

Asis, There is another scripture that should be considered: Luke 14 28For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it-- 29lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30saying, "This man began to build and was not able to finish.' 31Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. 33So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple. There are many that do not first "count the cost". Pastor Glenn |

211 | Why did Jesus call himself son of man? | Dan 7:13 | Pastor Glenn | 87794
Emmaus and Truthfinder, Continuing on Emmaus' point, I wanted to point out that Mark 14 also is an excellent reference to Christ's deity as the "Son of Man" as they saw grounds for the death penalty: Mark 14 61But He kept silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, "Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?" 62Jesus said, "I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven." 63Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, "What further need do we have of witnesses? 64You have heard the blasphemy! What do you think?" And they all condemned Him to be deserving of death. The high priest clearly saw the connection and implication of what Jesus referenced to Daniel 7. Being simply "a god", as Truthfinder suggests, would not have qualified as blaspheme and for death. Pastor Glenn |

Truthfinder, Jesus Christ cannot be compared to angels or Satan when referring to "a god". Jesus has the power to: A. forgive sins, Matthew 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. B. to rise from the dead, John 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. C. to accept our worship, John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God. Mat 28:9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. D. hold all power of heaven and earth, Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. E. created all things, John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. F. and to truly be "God with us". Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. Rev 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. Rev 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. Also, the Holy Spirit is God. How can you blasphemy a "spirit power" as the NWT tries to make Him out to be inanimate? “Spirit power” sounds far too much like the inanimate “force” of Star Wars. Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. Mat 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. Speaking of the Muslims, they also have no true history beyond Mohammed. They no nothing of the true nature of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel). If they understood the Trinity, then maybe they would also understand that salvation is of the Jews: John 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. The Jews did not understand the Trinity, but they still recorded “let Us make man …”: Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. The Trinity is one God, consisting of 3 Persons that are eternally distinct: Luke 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. John 1:32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. Pastor Glenn |

Greetings Truthfinder, You said: "Since the Bible can ‘set things straight,’ it should clearly reveal information about a matter ..." Jehovah's Witnesses have taught that Jesus was the angel Michael, and set dates for Jesus' return several times that did not come to pass. Weren't the 144000 supposed to be only white people? The bible "clearly" speaks of 12 tribes of Israel. Jews only. The bible "clearly" says that if a prophet is wrong in his prophecy then to not fear him. Has the Watchtower society ever taken back any false claims? Have they given the names of the false prophets that also claim there is no hell fire or predict false dates? They continue to make attempts against the deity of Christ. But yet they are known to be false prophets. The same writers that deny the Son and make false prophecies are writing more revisions of the NWT bible. No one else uses that mistranslation. Why continue following them? They continue to write Christ's deity out of Hebrews chapter one, as well as, many other scriptures. They believe they are the only ones saved, but have no history beyond the last century. Christ's Appostles were not white, they were jews. "Since the Bible can ‘set things straight,’ it should clearly reveal information about a matter ..." Which bible??? Pastor Glenn 1. Hank, Very well said. I think that your post is pretty well summed up in: "... Paul was reminding, perhaps even warning, the Corinthian Christians that those who continued the pattern of leading the same sinful and decadent life were not going to inherit eternal salvation because it would indicate that they were never regenerated, never born again, never saved. ..." I was reading an article that gets to the heart of the problem of dealing with repentance: "... Two men are seated in a plane. The first is given a parachute and told to put is on as it would improve his flight. He's a little skeptical at first because he can't see how wearing a parachute in a plane could possibly improve the flight. After a time he decides to experiment and see if the claim is true. As he puts it on he notices the weight of it upon his shoulders and he finds that he has difficulty in sitting upright. However, he consoles himself with the fact that he was told the parachute would improve the flight. So, he decides to give the thing a little time. As he waits he notices that some of the other passengers are laughing at him, because he's wearing a parachute in a plane. He begins to feel somewhat humiliated. As they begin to point and laugh at him and he can stand it no longer, he slinks in his seat, unstraps the parachute, and throws it to the floor. Disillusionment and bitterness fill his heart, because, as far as he was concerned, he was told an outright lie. The second man is given a parachute, but listen to what he's told. He's told to put it on because at any moment he'd be jumping 25,000 feet out of the plane. He gratefully puts the parachute on; he doesn't notice the weight of it upon his shoulders, nor that he can't sit upright. His mind is consumed with the thought of what would happen to him if he jumped without that parachute. ..." http://www.christiansinteractive.com called: "Bible and Teaching: Hell's Best Kept Secret , by Ray Comfort Posted by: JoeRick on Mar 06, 2003 - 06:10 PM" The main point of the article is that the Gospel has no strength without repentance. Actually there is no remission of sins without repentance. Pastor Glenn |

beva, I really like your answer: "... Salvation came to us (Gentiles) through the Jews. We now have a responsibility to bring salvation to the Jews. ..." Another scripture that I keep in mind that I think applies is: Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Thank you Emmaus, As Mommapbs said, these are good things to ponder. As we consider them in light of scripture, I think that we may gain more insight into related scriptures. As the old time hyme says "We will understand it better by and by." 1Co 13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 1Co 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 1Co 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 1Co 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. Mommapbs, This is an excellent question. I do not think that the bible gives a direct answer. However, to add to Scribes good answer, I will try to give my opinion based on scripture also. 1. Notice that man is saved from sin by the death of Christ on the cross. But, we still do not escape physical death. Our physical bodies die with our corruption, while our spirit lives on without corruption. Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. 2. The cross does not save our corrupted physical bodies. 1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 3. The angels were created spirits only, they had no other nature. While they are temporarily transformed into physical beings, they can not die physically. Luke 20:36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. 4. The sinning angels' corruption is contained in their spiritual essence. They have no alternate essence to contain their corruption. 1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 5. Christ cannot die spiritually, as is required to die for spirit beings. 1Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 6. Even if Christ could die spiritually, He would be required to become “part of” , as well as, die for each angel separately, since they were created separately, as opposed to our human family tree from Adam. Christ became part of our human family tree (this was required). Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 7. Especially in my opinion: God’s mercy was not extended to angels that sinned , since they were in heaven with no room for doubt. Their sin of pride and rebellion amounted to attempting to rob a bank in the very presence of the Judge, jury, and police. Could they ever truly repent without biding their time while seeking an opportunity to rebel again a few million years or so later? I invite anyone to feel free to shoot down my statements. I could easily be wrong. Pastor Glenn |

220 | Prove all things hold fast to the good.. | 1 Cor 15:1 | Pastor Glenn | 86272
Goodnewsminister, Luke 12 4"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. 5But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. You said: “Yes, fear Him, God, Who IS ABLE, to DESTROY [not preserve alive, but to utterly destroy] BOTH soul [hum? I thought it was IMMORTAL? Guess not!] and body in HELL!" If the soul is not immortal then how will anyone be TRULY resurrected? Will a new copy be made of us? This would be difficult to explain to identical twins that have the exact same DNA. How do you reconcile this with scripture without first recognizing the immortal soul in scripture? Jesus said that when God said that He IS (not “was”) the "God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob" He was implying that God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. But by your interpretation they do not presently exist. This would make Christ’s statement meaningless. You said: "Yes, God is ABLE to DO what you have been misTaught namely, He CAN and WILL DESTORY, not preserve alive, BOTH soul and body in HELL! The Greek word used here is Gehenna, the Jews to whom our Lord was speaking knew where this place was, as it was a reference to the Valley of Hinnom just outside of Jerusalem's walls where the dead carcasses of condemn criminals and the trash of the city was thrown and to which fire and brimstone were added to keep the flames burning and whatever the fire did not DESTROY, the maggot ate for food. “ No. The Jews recognized the need to bury the dead. The dead represented a higher level of uncleanness. The land bought for Judas was used for unknown graves: Mat 27:7 And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in. Mat 27:8 Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day. You said: “They well knew that this represented UTTER and EVERLASTING DESTRUCTION, as the one's thrown there were UNFIT for a memorial tomb, symbolic of their not being worthy of a burial tomb because they were thought to be unworthy of a resurrection." Wrong, this did not just "represent" everlasting destruction, it IS everlasting destruction. Destroy is as in everlasting torment: Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: How can the ordinary fire of a trash heap hurt the devil and his angels’ spirits. And by your misinterpretation, what is the point in casting people into the lake of “everlasting” fire: Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Mar 9:43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Mar 9:44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. Mar 9:45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Mar 9:46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. Mar 9:47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Mar 9:48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. How is it that “death and hell” were both cast into the lake of fire? This is not our “churches” misinterpretation. But rather, these are many scriptures teach the immortal soul and everlasting torment that you fail to explain. Pastor Glenn |
