241 | Bride and Guests at Lamb's Wedding | Revelation | Val | 199574
"In Biblical times a marriage involved two major events, the betrothal and the wedding. These were normally separated by a period of time during which the two individuals were considered husband and wife and as such were under the obligations of faithfulness. The wedding began with a procession to the bride's house, which was followed by a return to the house of the groom for the marriage feast. By analogy, the church, espoused to Christ by faith, now awaits the parousia when the heavenly groom will come for his bride and return to heaven for the marriage feast which lasts throughout eternity." 245 | who is the angel in rev.10/1 | Revelation | Val | 199225
Whenever Jesus Christ appears in Revelation John gives Him an unmistakable title. He is called “the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth” (Rev. 1:5), the son of man (Rev. 1:13), the first and the last (Rev. 1:17), the living One (Rev. 1:18), the Son of God (Rev. 2:18), “He who is holy, who is true” (Rev. 3:7), “the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God” (Rev. 3:14), “the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David” (Rev. 5:5), the Lamb (Rev. 6:1, 16; 7:17; 8:1), Faithful and True (Rev. 19:11), the Word of God (Rev. 19:13), and “King of Kings, and Lord of Lords” (Rev. 19:16). It is reasonable to assume that if Christ were the angel in view here He would be distinctly identified - MacArthur, Revelation 1-11 : The MacArthur New Testament Commentary, Rev. 10:1

247 | dreams, still God's way of speaking? | Acts 2:17 | Val | 199140
Nandi, we take those dreams that we have and line them up with scriptures. In other words, whatever impression you got from the dream, search the scriptures and see what instructions you get there. All our experiences are to be taken to the word of God for clarity and understanding. A good book on how to study the bible will help you. Pray first and spend time alone with God to prepare you for studying His word. Whatever the topic of your dream - say it was about someone getting married, look in the back of your bible and you will see a concordance with the words marriage, married, marry. Look up these scriptures in your bible reading the chapter they are found in and the book they are found in to find out what the author's overall purpose of writing the book is. He usually states why he is writing. There is an excellent bible on this site called the inductive study bible that shows you how to study the bible within its pages. I have it and have been blessed by it. You can go to the top of this page under Find a bible to locate it. Blessings, Val

255 | Explain abomination and desolation | Mark 1:1 | Val | 198630
One aspect of interpreting prohecies is that they have a near and far interpretation. In other words a present and a future. The present of the abomination of desolation was when Antiochus Epphanies came into the temple and descecrated it when he offered a pig on the altar. This is the near interpretation. The far interpretation is that one like him but even worse will do the same thing or something similar in the future. This will be in the middle of the seven year tribulation. You can do a word study on the day of the Lord and tribulation, the lawless one, antichrist and others to study this topic on future events. The last days is also another one. May God bless you. Val Mark 13:14 "But when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION standing where it should not be (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. |

257 | Who are the dead in christ? | 1 Thess 4:14 | Val | 198397
Our spirit goes to heaven when we die In Christ. When Christ returns for His church, we (our spirits) come with Him. The dead in Christ means that our earthly bodies in the grave will be raised and joined with our spirits. Just as Christ was raised bodily, our earthly bodies will be raised. We will be changed into a new body. Those who have not died a physical death but are alive will join the Lord in the air next. They will be changed into their new bodies. Examples in scripture are people who did not die but were taken such as Elijah. Read the complete chapter of Corinthians 15 which is called the Resurrection chapter. :) 1 Cor 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. 258 | Slipped Faith.. | John 15:5 | Val | 198309
Cry out to the Lord in prayer. Tell Him about your doubts, fears and relationships. Be willing to follow Him and obey Him. Express this to Him. It is vital that you make time everyday to pray and study His word even if you have to say no to some of your other responsibilites and friendships. Your relationship with Him is the most important and when you have a good one with Him, your other ones will work out. When you read His promises in the bible, believe them and thank Him. Find people your own age who love the Lord. If you hang with the crowd that does not love Him, you will be influenced by them. Do a character study on Christ Jesus, David and Paul in the bible. May God bless you, Grace and Peace, Val 1 Sam 17:12 Now David was the son of the Ephrathite of Bethlehem in Judah, whose name was Jesse, and he had eight sons. And Jesse was old in the days of Saul, advanced in years among men. 1 Sam 17:13 The three older sons of Jesse had gone after Saul to the battle. And the names of his three sons who went to the battle were Eliab the firstborn, and the second to him Abinadab, and the third Shammah. 1 Sam 17:14 David was the youngest. Now the three oldest followed Saul, 1 Sam 17:15 but David went back and forth from Saul to tend his father's flock at Bethlehem. |

259 | Jethron and daughter went in and out! | Ex 1:1 | Val | 198307
Grace, I will try to answer your question. Moses killed an Egyptian and fled to the wilderness. He was not known by the Egyptians until he was sent to Egpyt to lead his people out of bondage under the Egyptians. They were slaves there and worked on buildings and things serving Pharoah. There was no reason for the Egyptians to go into the wilderness as they had it made so to speak in Egypt. Besides the wilderness was mostly dry and barren so it was not a place people wanted to go to. I believe the Red Sea was opened up and swallowed those Egyptian soldiers who pursued Moses and his people when Pharoah let them go after God had served them with plagues and the last plague of the killing of the firstborn. There was probably more than one way to cross over into Egypt without going across the Red Sea, I suppose they could have went around. So anyone could go and come as they pleased. I hope I have helped you Grace. May God bless you. Grace and Peace, Val |

260 | God sought Moses to kill him | Ex 4:24 | Val | 198253
This is in answer to your first question; "why did God seek to kill Moses". Looking back at the covenant of circumcism in Genesis we see the warning of being cut off if one violates the covenant. In 17:10 "This is My covenant, which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: every male among you shall be circumcised. Gen 17:11 "And you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin, and it shall be the sign of the covenant between Me and you. Gen 17:12 "And every male among you who is eight days old shall be circumcised throughout your generations, a servant who is born in the house or who is bought with money from any foreigner, who is not of your descendants. Gen 17:13 "A servant who is born in your house or who is bought with your money shall surely be circumcised; thus shall My covenant be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. Gen 17:14 "But an uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant." We are not told why while in Egypt Moses didn't circumcise the baby but Zipporah (his wife) remembered. Ex 4:25 Then Zipporah took a flint and cut off her son's foreskin and threw it at Moses' feet, and she said, "You are indeed a bridegroom of blood to me." Ex 4:26 So He let him alone. At that time she said, "You are a bridegroom of blood"--because of the circumcision. Do a word study on Pharoah and you will see that he worshiped idols and hardened his own heart first. May God bless you, Grace and Peace Val |
