22 | I won"t be saved if I don't tithe | 2 Corinthians | jbw | 83175
Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; Your salvation is based solely on your accepting Christ as your personal Savior. It was and is a gift from God.... Now.....Mal 3:8 "Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, 'How have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings. I'm finding that Christianity/Salvation is a progression. Once you accept Christ you have not arrived. (boy am I learning) Sometimes things happen in your life and it's just a test. A test to see what you're made of and what the Lord has to work inside of you. (does He already know,,,,yes!!!! but, you don't) If something happened in your life and you cannot do the things that you use to. Give the Lord some money at least. Share with the Lord where you are. Let Him know that things have change and you don't mean not to trust Him with your finances but the situation is getting the best of you or getting you down. The Lord is full of mercies, long suffering and compassionate. Ask Him for wisdom on how you can get it done. Mal 3:10 "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. Mal 3:11 "Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes," says the LORD of hosts. If you have been tithing and tithing faithfully on whatever you give. (The key word here is consistancy). You can give the Lord back his word..His word states that He would rebuke the devour. Meaning it will never be any lack or slack in your house. I will give a small testimony. I own property and I had my daughter to pick up the rent one day. Well she was not paying attention and laid the envelops on her lap. Well when I dropped her off at school, when she got out the car the envelops fell on the ground. No body even knew. Well when I got to the bank and looked in my purse no rent checks. I actually freaked out. I cried out Lord...you told me that if I paided my tithes and offerings that you would not allow the enemy to come in on my finances. Well, I was led to go back to my daughters school..When I got there, I actually was drawn to the place where I dropped her off. My right hand to the living God...Every rent check and money order were in the envelopes. sealed up...Tired marks were all on the back of the mail. But the contents were safe... I am also finding out that sometimes circumstances also come so you can get to know the Lord in a different light.. Maybe just here He (God)wants you to see Him as "Jevohah Jireh" meaning the God that supplies all my needs.. I know that was much but, God doesn't see it as cheating (just a lack of trusting Him). And if you accepted Christ as Savior and Lord...When the trump of God sounds..You will be caught up in the air with the Lord to forever...based on your accepting him and not your tithing... I hope I helped a little Tell the Lord where you are...Tell Him you need help in trusting in this place where you are...And I tell you....You will not experience any lack and you will be able to give the Lord what's do him.....It's not easy...I've been there...But we can do al things though Christ... I hoped I helped you... |

23 | How Do You Know Christianity Is True? | 2 Corinthians | jbw | 83170
2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. I know that Christianity is true because the Lord Jesus lives in my heart. I know what I was before He saved me. And I know and the people around me know what He is accomplishing now in my life. Inwardly and outwardly. Had I not had a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus, I couldn't write this statement. But I know that he LIVES....Because He lives inside of my heart....... Now you will encounter a lot of religion. But Christianity...I mean being absolutely born again...You will know when they they make there abode for sure John 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. You will still make slip up's and mistakes...But once His spirit comes in...He will not allow you to rest comfortably even when you offend the least person.... Last but not least Christianity is not based on one certain act..It's a long progression of perfection until the Lord Jesus returns. |

24 | What about if not paying? | Eccl 5:4 | jbw | 83165
Num 30:1 Then Moses spoke to the heads of the tribes of the sons of Israel, saying, "This is the word which the LORD has commanded. Num 30:2 "If a man makes a vow to the LORD, or takes an oath to bind himself with a binding obligation, he shall not violate his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth. Deut 23:21 "When you make a vow to the LORD your God, you shall not delay to pay it, for it would be sin in you, and the LORD your God will surely require it of you. Deut 23:22 "However, if you refrain from vowing, it would not be sin in you. Deut 23:23 "You shall be careful to perform what goes out from your lips, just as you have voluntarily vowed to the LORD your God, what you have promised. 1 Sam 1:11 She made a vow and said, "O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a son, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and a razor shall never come on his head." 1 Sam 1:17 Then Eli answered and said, "Go in peace; and may the God of Israel grant your petition that you have asked of Him." 1 Sam 1:18 She said, "Let your maidservant find favor in your sight." So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad. 1 Sam 1:20 It came about in due time, after Hannah had conceived, that she gave birth to a son; and she named him Samuel, saying, "Because I have asked him of the LORD." 1 Sam 1:22 But Hannah did not go up, for she said to her husband, "I will not go up until the child is weaned; then I will bring him, that he may appear before the LORD and stay there forever." 1 Sam 1:24 Now when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with a three-year-old bull and one ephah of flour and a jug of wine, and brought him to the house of the LORD in Shiloh, although the child was young. 1 Sam 1:25 Then they slaughtered the bull, and brought the boy to Eli. 1 Sam 1:26 She said, "Oh, my lord! As your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood here beside you, praying to the LORD. 1 Sam 1:27 "For this boy I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of Him. 1 Sam 1:28 "So I have also dedicated him to the LORD; as long as he lives he is dedicated to the LORD." And he worshiped the LORD there I know that this is very lengthy, but I wanted you the get the essence of what a vow is and how people of old would have died before they didn't peformed what they said that they would do before the Lord. This is just me talking. I think sometimes we neglect or are not appreciative of the relationship we have with the Lord. It's a honor, because many will reject the Messiah. Whatever God say's that He will do for you can bet your bottom dollar that it is good as gold and it gets done (think about any promise HE'S MADE YOU). God is working on transforming us into the image of His dear son. I have been in this walk now with the Lord 20 years. And I have to admitt that early on I would make a vow and forget I made one. I would make a vow and start it and when I didn't get what I wanted (within the time frame I thought) I would then renigg on the vow. I've been a lot of places IN THIS WALK. But as I grow older in the Lord. He is working intergrity in me. To a point that I want my words to count to Him and the people around me. I want people to say that if she say's this or that she will do it. That's being transform into His image. No!! a curse does not come on you when you don't keep a vow. It just shows that a person has a lot of growing to do. God is full of mercies and very longsuffering. So no He wouldn't allow a building to fall on your head hahahaahaaa. He will just continue to complete the work that he started in you.. I hope I helped you.. |

25 | Jesus cast into hell?? | 1 Cor 15:3 | jbw | 83114
Eph 4:9 (Now this expression, "He ascended," what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth? Eph 4:10 He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.) The Lord was not actually cast into hell, but He went there. (The word says that he led capitivity captive.)Eph 4:8 Therefore it says, "WHEN HE ASCENDED ON HIGH, HE LED CAPTIVE A HOST OF CAPTIVES, AND HE GAVE GIFTS TO MEN." He went to hell (hades at the time) To preach to the souls who died in hope of his coming...When people died before Jesus came they went to hades and rested in Abraham's bosom. John 8:56 "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad." John 8:57 So the Jews said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?" John 8:58 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am." When people died before the Lord Jesus came they went to hades and rested in Abraham bosom Luke 16:Luke 16:22 "Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. Luke 16:23 "In Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and *saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom. Luke 16:24 "And he cried out and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.' Luke 16:25 "But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony. Luke 16:26 'And besides all this, between us and you there is a great chasm fixed, so that those who wish to come over from here to you will not be able, and that none may cross over from there to us.' Luke 16:27 "And he said, 'Then I beg you, father, that you send him to my father's house-- Luke 16:28 for I have five brothers--in order that he may warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.' Luke 16:29 "But Abraham *said, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.' Luke 16:30 "But he said, 'No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent!' Luke 16:31 "But he said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.'" So the Lord Jesus did go to hell (hades) to preach to the sould who died in hopes of his coming. A person's total salvation should be based on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Not any of his works. For without the resurrection then are we still in our sins. I hoped that I helped... |

Matt 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, Matt 28:20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." This is as close as I get get regarding your question. It is the minister's job to compell the lost, persuade and yes even convince to them. That The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ our Lord. I hoped this helps... |

28 | What is the bible say about vow? | Eccl 5:4 | jbw | 82979
Eccl 5:4 When you make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow! Eccl 5:5 It is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not pay. vow: A solemn promise or pledge to do a certain thing. A vow is a promise to do a certain thing. If you search the scriptures you will find that God is a God of intergrity. His word is BOND. MATTER OF FACT HIS WORD IS HIM. God actually vowed to Adam that if he actually ate from the tree of knowledge good and evil that he would surely die. Adam ate and Adam surely died a spiritual death. We are made in the likeness of God so God wants and desires us to say what we mean and mean what we say. Bottom line in the old and new testament if you vow (make a promise) to do something the Lord God expects us to do it. The result of not keeping a vow ruins your credibility with man and with God. No one will ever take you serious...ever I hoped I helped |

29 | Phil 1:6 what means | Phil 1:6 | jbw | 82782
I believe that God's whole purpose is for us to be conform to the image of His dear son. So once you accept Him as your personal Savior the work begins...Mending, molding, scolding, reshaping, reconforming, chastising, the works. Whatever God has to do to get you to the imgae of His son He will do. It also means full circle not just a spiritual conforming but a natural. What you desire to be and do on the earth He will aid you in it until completion. Jer 29:11 'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Rom 8:29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; |

30 | How can we be sure of eternal salvation? | Phil 1:6 | jbw | 82781
I pray that these scriptures will aid in your friend finding that blessed assurance. When I first acccepted Christ the enemy taunted me with that very thought (fear). I use to cry many a days regarding your friends concern. Until one day I sat quitely reading my word alone and I stumble across these passages of scriptures that are attached. I read them and read them and read them. And one day they came alive in me. Now I know that I am the redeemed of the Lord and based upon these scriptures... When the trumpet sounds whether I am sleep in the Lord or alive I will forever be with Him I will also pray with you all that the scriptures will come alive in his heart and mind..And the blessed assurance of the word of God will illuminate in his spirit.... Rom 8:10 If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. 1 Cor 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, 1 Cor 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. John 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. Phil 1:6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. |

31 | Scriptural proof: animals not in heaven? | Gen 2:7 | jbw | 82776
The plan of Salvation is only given to Humans. Romans 10 vs: 9-10. So based on scriptures only what God breathed into has a soul and equppped to make the transition to heaven. Rom 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; Rom 10:10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. John 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. Again I can't recall the Lord the Lord making abode in an animal. Based on the scriptures the Lord Jesus came unto His own (kind)John 1:11 He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, John 1:13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. Even when the rich man Lazarus lifted up his eyes in hell he saw people awaiting the Lord Jesus death, burial and resurrection not animals Luke 16 Lastly when Stephen was making his transition to heaven and He saw the Lord Jesus standing up...He didn't mention any animal life standing next to Him Acts 7:55 But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God; Now, I'm not a theologian or anything or the sort, but I can't recall one place in the word where He (Jesus)raise a dog from the dead. Neither did he preach to animals...Now God is is almighty and He can do whatever He deems neccessary. But based on the scriptures animals that are walking on earth with you and I aren't there. Again I'm not a theologian and this is my opinion... Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. The animals that are mentioned are for a specific purpose. If this answer or comment is. Now last I heard a dog was man best friend, and we are God's... God is God and He could have whatever He deems necessary so cats, rats, mice and the like could be up there...I guess we will have to wait and see. Born again murders and all that were are until he comes will be there..so maybe..... |

32 | Does a human clone have a soul? | Gen 2:7 | jbw | 82770
Gen 1:24 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so. Gen 1:25 God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good. Base of the scriptures and my interpretation of the scriptures. If man produces a clone be it through DNA or the normal procedures. I believe that because man is a living soul then anything created from him would become a living soul. Everything produces after it's kind. Cat's after it's kind, dogs after it's kind etc.. Gen 2:7 Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. |

33 | Why did God not create more one couple ? | Gen 2:7 | jbw | 82765
Gen 1:26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." Gen 1:27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. I believe that God made man with woman inside because He wasn't trying to experiment on a certain species to see if one would do this or one would do that, He already knew what each creature was capable of and just made male and female, knowing that they would replenish the earth in time.. As A Matter of fact everytime God completed a certain task he said it was good and very good Gen 1:10 God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good. You must also remember that Incestuous relationship came with the fall of man. We probably will never know what God's original plan would have been because of the fall....just my thoughts.... Deut 29:29 "The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, that we may observe all the words of this law. Quick Search Word(s) or ID# |

34 | Are there animals in heaven? | Gen 2:7 | jbw | 82763
Gen 2:7 Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. According to the scriptures man is the only thing that God created that afterwards He breathed into him to become a living soul/spirit. No other creature did God do this to. Now regarding the the animals in the sheet: Acts 10:10 But he became hungry and was desiring to eat; but while they were making preparations, he fell into a trance; Acts 10:11 and he *saw the sky opened up, and an object like a great sheet coming down, lowered by four corners to the ground, Acts 10:12 and there were in it all kinds of four-footed animals and crawling creatures of the earth and birds of the air. Acts 10:13 A voice came to him, "Get up, Peter, kill and eat!" Acts 10:14 But Peter said, "By no means, Lord, for I have never eaten anything unholy and unclean." I believe that God was only using a metaphor with Peter. You see Jews were not allowed to eat everything (pigs etc..) back then and Petre was well aware of the restriced laws. God knew that Peter would catch on quickly to this example oppose to (GOD) Him using another thing. Peter immediately said "Lord I wouldn't eat anything common on unclean". So the animals being let down in the sheet was just used a metaphor... I'm positive animals do ot go to heaven based on the scriptures |

Stephen was the disciple Acts 7:55 But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God; Acts 7:56 and he said, "Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God." Acts 7:57 But they cried out with a loud voice, and covered their ears and rushed at him with one impulse. Acts 7:58 When they had driven him out of the city, they began stoning him; and the witnesses laid aside their robes at the feet of a young man named Saul. Acts 7:59 They went on stoning Stephen as he called on the Lord and said, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!" Acts 7:60 Then falling on his knees, he cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them!" Having said this, he fell asleep. Stephen was a follower |

36 | Easter Bunnies...or Risen Lord? | John 11:25 | jbw | 82484
To me the events that happen at Easter (Calvary) are pivitol to our salvation. Had not God sent the Lord Jesus to die we would still be in our sins or lost doomed for eternal damnation for ever. When I think about how they beat him. Isaiah 52: says that his visage so so mard that people actually dodn't know what He was. Could you imagine beat beat so bad that your loved one's cannot recognize you? I am so grateful to have come into the full knowledge of God's saving grace. Words sometimes cannot express my gratitude for such an act. Sometimes, I often wonder what is it about man. That makes God want to bothered (although I am glad that he still strives and tug on us). His glorified body after resurrection is also intriguing to me. Eventually we will have one also. Flesh and bones with no blood...Can you image..The blood in a body makes them alive basically. And now we will have a glorified one with no blood. I personally believe that the Easter Bunny is a tactic from the enemy to take away from the awesomeness of our Lord and Saviors death, burial and resurrection. I really don't have a problem with the Easter Bunny as long as parents are telling their children the real meaning of the season..... |

You could just ask her, if she is able to talk what are her favorite scriptures. And sometimes they just love to hear nice music. And sometimes they just love quietness and your presence not a word being said at all.... When you visit somehow once you get there you will know what to do so that it's not overbearing. The entire book of Acts is an excellent read. It gives so many accounts of so many marvelous Martyr's and the Lord JESUS standing up upon their final transition from earth to glory..... |

I am referencing John 14:26. The same presence and stance Jesus had when He was here is the same presence and stance the Holy Spirit has....As long as Jesus was here with the disciples they realy didn't have need of anything because they had the comforter in the flesh present. But now, He comes on the inside of you to do the same thing Jesus did for them on the outside... John 14:12 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. |
