21 | HUNGER OR THIRST MATTHEW 5:6 | Matt 5:6 | jbw | 82079
I will answered your question with another scripture. Psalm 42 verses 1-2 states this: As the deer pants for the water brook so my soul pants for you O, God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God (NASB). To hunger and thirst after righteousness is like jogging for 5 miles without a water bottle. Only to come to a fountain to find out that the water is not on. You would then jog, run or walk frantically to find another fountain knowing that without the needed water you would dehydrate, passout or even die. The desire at that point should be one of desperation, kool-aid or grapefruit juice will not suffice it has to be water. To not have the needed water would leave you destitute. To thirst for righteousness has to be a desire planted inside of you by God because no one could quench that thirst inside of you but Him. And He will quench the thirst if that's your desire.
22 | Hell; real or not? | Matt 25:46 | jbw | 82387
Luke 16:19 "Now there was a rich man, and he habitually dressed in purple and fine linen, joyously living in splendor every day. Luke 16:20 "And a poor man named Lazarus was laid at his gate, covered with sores, Luke 16:21 and longing to be fed with the crumbs which were falling from the rich man's table; besides, even the dogs were coming and licking his sores. Luke 16:22 "Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. Luke 16:23 "In Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and *saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom. Luke 16:24 "And he cried out and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.' Luke 16:25 "But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony. Luke 16:26 'And besides all this, between us and you there is a great chasm fixed, so that those who wish to come over from here to you will not be able, and that none may cross over from there to us.' Luke 16:27 "And he said, 'Then I beg you, father, that you send him to my father's house-- Luke 16:28 for I have five brothers--in order that he may warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.' Luke 16:29 "But Abraham *said, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.' Luke 16:30 "But he said, 'No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent!' Luke 16:31 "But he said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.'" Now based on these scriptures Hell is a place and it is real and it is very hot. The rich ruler literally asked Abraham to dip his finger into water to cool the flame/heat. If I may add to this Satan has never been to Hell and will never go there. The lake of fire is prepared for Satan and his followers. In Stan is speaking to the Lord telling the Lord that he is going to set up his camp in the heavenlies and be like the most high...But God speaks back to him and tells Him what He plans on doing with Him and what our expressions are going to be like we we do see Satan....read along it's very interesting..... Isaiah 14:12 "How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations! Is 14:13 "But you said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north. Is 14:14 'I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.' Is 14:15 "Nevertheless you will be thrust down to Sheol, To the recesses of the pit. Is 14:16 "Those who see you will gaze at you, They will ponder over you, saying, 'Is this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms, Is 14:17 Who made the world like a wilderness And overthrew its cities, Who did not allow his prisoners to go home?' |

23 | Are there compartments in heaven or hell | Matt 25:46 | jbw | 82390
I have not found in the scriptures that they are compartments in heaven or Hell. But there is a book out that is so deep it's title is the "Revelation of Hell" the Author claims that the Lord took her on a journey through the different compartments of Hell. And yes there is a book out entitled "The Revelation of Heaven" Very, very deep....
24 | Does this mean if someone accept Christ | Matt 25:46 | jbw | 82396
John 15:1 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. John 15:2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. John 15:3 "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. John 15:4 "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. John 15:5 "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. John 15:6 "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. John 15:7 "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:8 "My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. I was always taught that accepting Christ as my personal savior is my ticket (if I may use the term )to heaven. Not accepting the Christ the only begotten of God prohibits you from going to heaven. Because you are rejecting HIS existance. Everything else are works that will be judge on judgement. example. If you do go and visit the sick are you doing it that Christ would get the Glory or are you doing it so that everyone in the Church knows that you are on the Busy Bee club.. Have you ever heard the saying that apples don't fall to far from trees. If I were a apple on the vine I'm very close to the tree, but even if I'm ripe and fall to the ground and roll a bit I'm still in close view of the tree. Lastly Salvation is a gift from God and scriptures says that God gives gifts without repentance. Meaning what he gives you is yours for keeps. I was born innately with the gift to sing. Always could..I don't use the gift probably like I should...amybe not even for months...But trust me when one of my songs come on I belt out a song ...I'm telling you...I could be the American Idol (smile)...The gift is mine....if I use it fine,,,,If I don't it becomes rusty but it's still mine.... |

25 | Do I have a sex correction operation? | John | jbw | 83634
John 1:17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. I would have to suggest that you consecrate yourself before the Lord and ask Him what would be your personal intent and outcome. (Some things come by fasting and prayer Matt 17 verse 21) The Lord Jesus knew that Moses law was just impossible to handle so Jesus came to make the law easier to live with/durable. You would not miss heaven because you are correcting this situation. Salvation is a from gift of God not of works least anyman should boast .Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; Eph 2:9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. So this action has nothing to do with your salvation. I am positive that the Lord is not pleased that you are in this dilema but He is here to aid and assist you. Have you considered sharing with a Pastor (one you can totally trust)? I do find that we tend to move on our most dominating desires. So I would say that even though you look like a woman your desires say something else. Definitely go before the Lord and stay at his feet (in his presence) until you know without a shadow of a doubt which gender you should be. I will be praying that the Lord leads and guides you... John 16:13 "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. you have .. God will bless if you wait on Him....I will also say I don't no one on this forum should suggest which way you should go your help will come from the Lord. Ps 121:1 I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? Ps 121:2 My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. Ps 121:3 He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. Ps 121:4 Behold, He who keeps Israel Will neither slumber nor sleep. Ps 121:5 The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade on your right hand. Ps 121:6 The sun will not smite you by day, Nor the moon by night. Ps 121:7 The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. Ps 121:8 The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in From this time forth and forever. deep in your heart of hearts you know which way you should go.. but please do the above. |

26 | getting started over again | John | jbw | 83635
After repenting make sure you are in a Church where they are preaching the Word of God with conviction. Maybe even talk with leadership so you all can deal with what made you go back out. Have you lost everything that GOD HAS TO OFFER????? God is married to the backslider Honey!!!!It's the word of God that keeps us... Welcome back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lastly don't allow condemnation come in. Once you repent let it go and go forth in the Lord....Heb 8:12 "FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR INIQUITIES, AND I WILL REMEMBER THEIR SINS NO MORE." 1 John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 1 John 1:7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us. Rom 8:1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Rom 8:3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, Rom 8:4 so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Welcome back!!!!!! I would start reading in the book of St. John |

27 | What is God's covenant with believers | John 11:25 | jbw | 82440
God has made many a covenant with us but the one that I hold to fast is this. Because of death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ I am a joint HEIR with Him. Rom 8:17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ.
28 | Need Bible passages for dying friend | John 11:25 | jbw | 82444
You could just ask her, if she is able to talk what are her favorite scriptures. And sometimes they just love to hear nice music. And sometimes they just love quietness and your presence not a word being said at all.... When you visit somehow once you get there you will know what to do so that it's not overbearing. The entire book of Acts is an excellent read. It gives so many accounts of so many marvelous Martyr's and the Lord JESUS standing up upon their final transition from earth to glory..... |

29 | Easter Bunnies...or Risen Lord? | John 11:25 | jbw | 82484
To me the events that happen at Easter (Calvary) are pivitol to our salvation. Had not God sent the Lord Jesus to die we would still be in our sins or lost doomed for eternal damnation for ever. When I think about how they beat him. Isaiah 52: says that his visage so so mard that people actually dodn't know what He was. Could you imagine beat beat so bad that your loved one's cannot recognize you? I am so grateful to have come into the full knowledge of God's saving grace. Words sometimes cannot express my gratitude for such an act. Sometimes, I often wonder what is it about man. That makes God want to bothered (although I am glad that he still strives and tug on us). His glorified body after resurrection is also intriguing to me. Eventually we will have one also. Flesh and bones with no blood...Can you image..The blood in a body makes them alive basically. And now we will have a glorified one with no blood. I personally believe that the Easter Bunny is a tactic from the enemy to take away from the awesomeness of our Lord and Saviors death, burial and resurrection. I really don't have a problem with the Easter Bunny as long as parents are telling their children the real meaning of the season..... |

30 | What are the works of the Holy Spirit? | John 14:26 | jbw | 82418
I am referencing John 14:26. The same presence and stance Jesus had when He was here is the same presence and stance the Holy Spirit has....As long as Jesus was here with the disciples they realy didn't have need of anything because they had the comforter in the flesh present. But now, He comes on the inside of you to do the same thing Jesus did for them on the outside... John 14:12 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. |

Luke 24:39 "See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have." I'm not sure if this is the account you are inquiring about. Do you mean after he accended to the Father? Or upon his second coming? I hoped this is what you're looking for though.. |

33 | Being stone and saw Jesus | Acts 7:1 | jbw | 82512
Stephen was the disciple Acts 7:55 But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God; Acts 7:56 and he said, "Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God." Acts 7:57 But they cried out with a loud voice, and covered their ears and rushed at him with one impulse. Acts 7:58 When they had driven him out of the city, they began stoning him; and the witnesses laid aside their robes at the feet of a young man named Saul. Acts 7:59 They went on stoning Stephen as he called on the Lord and said, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!" Acts 7:60 Then falling on his knees, he cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them!" Having said this, he fell asleep. Stephen was a follower |

34 | Know the Message of the Hour | Rom 3:4 | jbw | 82242
Deut 29 verse 29 reads as follows: The secret things belong to the Lord our God. But the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, that we may obeserve all the words of this law (NASB). God can and has revealed many of things through many of people. He doesn't have respect of persons who he reveal things through. It's whomever will yield their minds and spirits to study out the MATTER/answer. I mean salvation was hidden from the Gentiles for years and God revealed that to peter and Paul that it's not only the Jews but the Gentiles also should have fellowship with Him (God). If there is a secret thing in this world trust me God spoke to a heart and mind and revealed that thing to him/her so we all could know it...There is no respect of person's with God.. |

36 | Jesus cast into hell?? | 1 Cor 15:3 | jbw | 83114
Eph 4:9 (Now this expression, "He ascended," what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth? Eph 4:10 He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.) The Lord was not actually cast into hell, but He went there. (The word says that he led capitivity captive.)Eph 4:8 Therefore it says, "WHEN HE ASCENDED ON HIGH, HE LED CAPTIVE A HOST OF CAPTIVES, AND HE GAVE GIFTS TO MEN." He went to hell (hades at the time) To preach to the souls who died in hope of his coming...When people died before Jesus came they went to hades and rested in Abraham's bosom. John 8:56 "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad." John 8:57 So the Jews said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?" John 8:58 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am." When people died before the Lord Jesus came they went to hades and rested in Abraham bosom Luke 16:Luke 16:22 "Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. Luke 16:26 'And besides all this, between us and you there is a great chasm fixed, so that those who wish to come over from here to you will not be able, and that none may cross over from there to us.' Luke 16:27 "And he said, 'Then I beg you, father, that you send him to my father's house-- Luke 16:28 for I have five brothers--in order that he may warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.' Luke 16:29 "But Abraham *said, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.' Luke 16:30 "But he said, 'No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent!' Luke 16:31 "But he said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.'" So the Lord Jesus did go to hell (hades) to preach to the sould who died in hopes of his coming. A person's total salvation should be based on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Not any of his works. For without the resurrection then are we still in our sins. I hoped that I helped... |

37 | How Do You Know Christianity Is True? | 2 Corinthians | jbw | 83170
2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. I know that Christianity is true because the Lord Jesus lives in my heart. I know what I was before He saved me. And I know and the people around me know what He is accomplishing now in my life. Inwardly and outwardly. Had I not had a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus, I couldn't write this statement. But I know that he LIVES....Because He lives inside of my heart....... Now you will encounter a lot of religion. But Christianity...I mean being absolutely born again...You will know when they they make there abode for sure John 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. You will still make slip up's and mistakes...But once His spirit comes in...He will not allow you to rest comfortably even when you offend the least person.... Last but not least Christianity is not based on one certain act..It's a long progression of perfection until the Lord Jesus returns. |

38 | I won"t be saved if I don't tithe | 2 Corinthians | jbw | 83175
Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; Your salvation is based solely on your accepting Christ as your personal Savior. It was and is a gift from God.... Now.....Mal 3:8 "Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, 'How have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings. I'm finding that Christianity/Salvation is a progression. Once you accept Christ you have not arrived. (boy am I learning) Sometimes things happen in your life and it's just a test. A test to see what you're made of and what the Lord has to work inside of you. (does He already know,,,,yes!!!! but, you don't) If something happened in your life and you cannot do the things that you use to. Give the Lord some money at least. Share with the Lord where you are. Let Him know that things have change and you don't mean not to trust Him with your finances but the situation is getting the best of you or getting you down. The Lord is full of mercies, long suffering and compassionate. Ask Him for wisdom on how you can get it done. Mal 3:10 "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. Mal 3:11 "Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes," says the LORD of hosts. If you have been tithing and tithing faithfully on whatever you give. (The key word here is consistancy). You can give the Lord back his word..His word states that He would rebuke the devour. Meaning it will never be any lack or slack in your house. I will give a small testimony. I own property and I had my daughter to pick up the rent one day. Well she was not paying attention and laid the envelops on her lap. Well when I dropped her off at school, when she got out the car the envelops fell on the ground. No body even knew. Well when I got to the bank and looked in my purse no rent checks. I actually freaked out. I cried out Lord...you told me that if I paided my tithes and offerings that you would not allow the enemy to come in on my finances. Well, I was led to go back to my daughters school..When I got there, I actually was drawn to the place where I dropped her off. My right hand to the living God...Every rent check and money order were in the envelopes. sealed up...Tired marks were all on the back of the mail. But the contents were safe... I am also finding out that sometimes circumstances also come so you can get to know the Lord in a different light.. Maybe just here He (God)wants you to see Him as "Jevohah Jireh" meaning the God that supplies all my needs.. I know that was much but, God doesn't see it as cheating (just a lack of trusting Him). And if you accepted Christ as Savior and Lord...When the trump of God sounds..You will be caught up in the air with the Lord to forever...based on your accepting him and not your tithing... I hope I helped a little Tell the Lord where you are...Tell Him you need help in trusting in this place where you are...And I tell you....You will not experience any lack and you will be able to give the Lord what's do him.....It's not easy...I've been there...But we can do al things though Christ... I hoped I helped you... |

40 | death, being with Jesus -verse? | 2 Corinthians | jbw | 83178
2 Cor 5:4 For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life. 2 Cor 5:5 Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge. 2 Cor 5:6 Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord-- 2 Cor 5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight-- 2 Cor 5:8 we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. 2 Cor 5:9 Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. I hope that this is the scripture you were looking for... |
