Bible Question: I have been away from the church now for awhile and have not been reading the bible, does this mean I have lost everything god has to offer? I would also like to know what I should be reading in the bible to get me back in the right direction. |
Bible Answer: After repenting make sure you are in a Church where they are preaching the Word of God with conviction. Maybe even talk with leadership so you all can deal with what made you go back out. Have you lost everything that GOD HAS TO OFFER????? God is married to the backslider Honey!!!!It's the word of God that keeps us... Welcome back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lastly don't allow condemnation come in. Once you repent let it go and go forth in the Lord....Heb 8:12 "FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR INIQUITIES, AND I WILL REMEMBER THEIR SINS NO MORE." 1 John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 1 John 1:7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us. Rom 8:1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Rom 8:3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, Rom 8:4 so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Welcome back!!!!!! I would start reading in the book of St. John |
