41 | Should a Minister marry non-christians? | 2 Corinthians | jbw | 83182
1 Cor 7:6 But this I say by way of concession, not of command. 1 Cor 7:7 Yet I wish that all men were even as I myself am. However, each man has his own gift from God, one in this manner, and another in that. 1 Cor 7:8 But I say to the unmarried and to widows that it is good for them if they remain even as I. 1 Cor 7:9 But if they do not have self-control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with passion. 1 Cor 7:10 But to the married I give instructions, not I, but the Lord, that the wife should not leave her husband 1 Cor 7:11 (but if she does leave, she must remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband should not divorce his wife. 1 Cor 7:12 But to the rest I say, not the Lord, that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he must not divorce her. 1 Cor 7:13 And a woman who has an unbelieving husband, and he consents to live with her, she must not send her husband away. 1 Cor 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband; for otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy. 1 Cor 7:15 Yet if the unbelieving one leaves, let him leave; the brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us to peace. 1 Cor 7:16 For how do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife? 1 Cor 7:17 Only, as the Lord has assigned to each one, as God has called each, in this manner let him walk. And so I direct in all the churches. I don't believe that the bible states anything like that. But, if the Minister is given a opportunity to marry a unsaved couple He could at that time take avantage of occasion and during the prayer ask the Lord to draw them by His spirit and saved them. Somebody somewhere prayed for me..... I hoped this shaded some light |

42 | Tithing in the New Testament? | 2 Corinthians | jbw | 83187
Matt 22:21 They *said to Him, "Caesar's." Then He *said to them, "Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and to God the things that are God's." Basically the old testament speaks about tithing. I haven't read or studied anything regarding tithing in the new. But what I mentioned aforehand. I hope this helps.. |

43 | is jesus god? | 2 Corinthians | jbw | 83447
YES!!!!!! 2 Cor 5:18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 2 Cor 5:19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. The trinity is made up of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost..... |

44 | Is there a waiting place for the soul? | 2 Cor 5:8 | jbw | 83943
I am walking very light with this one. I know that their are a lot of doctrines out here and I wouldn't want to be offensive to anyone. But this is what the word of God says below. Regarding anyones departure into the next life.... Luke 16:19 "Now there was a rich man, and he habitually dressed in purple and fine linen, joyously living in splendor every day. Luke 16:20 "And a poor man named Lazarus was laid at his gate, covered with sores, Luke 16:21 and longing to be fed with the crumbs which were falling from the rich man's table; besides, even the dogs were coming and licking his sores. Luke 16:22 "Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. Luke 16:23 "In Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and *saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom. Luke 16:24 "And he cried out and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.' Luke 16:25 "But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony. Luke 16:26 'And besides all this, between us and you there is a great chasm fixed, so that those who wish to come over from here to you will not be able, and that none may cross over from there to us.' Luke 16:27 "And he said, 'Then I beg you, father, that you send him to my father's house-- Luke 16:28 for I have five brothers--in order that he may warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.' Luke 16:29 "But Abraham *said, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.' Luke 16:30 "But he said, 'No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent!' Luke 16:31 "But he said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.'" |

45 | Why before He died? | 2 Cor 5:21 | jbw | 83400
Ps 22:6 But I am a worm and not a man, A reproach of men and despised by the people. Ps 22:7 All who see me sneer at me; They separate with the lip, they wag the head, saying, Ps 22:14 I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It is melted within me. Ps 22:15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, And my tongue cleaves to my jaws; And You lay me in the dust of death. Ps 22:16 For dogs have surrounded me; A band of evildoers has encompassed me; They pierced my hands and my feet. If you read the scriptures printed you will see that the Lord is not referencing a spiritual death. Everything written here is aboout the pain and agony he suffered and endure on the cross. Psalm 22 vs 16 says "Thye pierced my hands and my feet. Jesus knew He had to go to the cross but his mortal body had to bear the pain. Imagine somebody hammer railroad nails through your hands. I think one would say My God,why have you forsaken me. Then Isaiah 52 Is 52:14 Just as many were astonished at you, My people, So His appearance was marred more than any man And His form more than the sons of men. Jesus actually looked like some freak up on the cross. No one recognized Him after the tortuous beating. That's why He cried out My God My God..... Last but not least the spirit is always willing to go but the fleah is weak. Mark 14:38 "Keep watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." |

46 | Where did the Holy Spirit go? | 2 Cor 5:21 | jbw | 83401
I would first like to say that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy spirit are three but one. And each deity serves different functions. Remeber when Jesus told them that is good for me that I go away, because if I go away I will send the comforter/Holy spirit John 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. They Holy Spirit did not come unto after His descention and then ascendtion back to the Father Acts Acts 1:7 He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority; Acts 1:8 but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth." Now far as a spirtual death I personally believe that He who knew no sin became sin for us. 2 Cor 5:21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. So for Jesus to have experience everything we did. He would have had to experience a spitual death. A separation from God...These are just my thoughts |

47 | How can we be sure of eternal salvation? | Phil 1:6 | jbw | 82781
I pray that these scriptures will aid in your friend finding that blessed assurance. When I first acccepted Christ the enemy taunted me with that very thought (fear). I use to cry many a days regarding your friends concern. Until one day I sat quitely reading my word alone and I stumble across these passages of scriptures that are attached. I read them and read them and read them. And one day they came alive in me. Now I know that I am the redeemed of the Lord and based upon these scriptures... When the trumpet sounds whether I am sleep in the Lord or alive I will forever be with Him I will also pray with you all that the scriptures will come alive in his heart and mind..And the blessed assurance of the word of God will illuminate in his spirit.... Rom 8:10 If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. 1 Cor 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, 1 Cor 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. John 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. Phil 1:6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. |

48 | Phil 1:6 what means | Phil 1:6 | jbw | 82782
I believe that God's whole purpose is for us to be conform to the image of His dear son. So once you accept Him as your personal Savior the work begins...Mending, molding, scolding, reshaping, reconforming, chastising, the works. Whatever God has to do to get you to the imgae of His son He will do. It also means full circle not just a spiritual conforming but a natural. What you desire to be and do on the earth He will aid you in it until completion. Jer 29:11 'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Rom 8:29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; |

51 | Is my marriage o.k. in God's eyes? | Hebrews | jbw | 83947
There are many doctrines out here and different interpretation of the scriptures. Matt 19:8 He *said to them, "Because of your hardness of heart Moses permitted you to divorce your wives; but from the beginning it has not been this way. Then the scriptures says what God has put together let no man put assunder. How many marriages did God really put together????? I mean really??? I personally have never met anyonee and said I'm in love with his mind. My attraction was first physical, the rest came after getting to know him. I've been married twice. The first was for infidelity on his part. The second was he had eyes for my oldest daughter. So tell me was I suppose to stay in that marriage? I first sent my daughter to live with her father and I later left and thence divorced. Jer 17:9 says that "The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it? I had no idea that his heart was like that. So was I suppose to stick around? No Phil 2:12 So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; You have to work out this salvation, marriage with conviction from God. Bottom line You all are in love and married, which is right and pleasing to the Lord. Based on the scriptures your marriage is being honored by God....Annullment means to void...So if you went that way..Heck He knows he and the woman where still married by a priest of Judge or divorce the courts dissolves it... Don't sweat the small stuff...love your husband and enjoy him until death do you two part....This is my theory only.... Heb 13:4 Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge. |

52 | Healing by Strips physical or not | 1 Pet 2:24 | jbw | 82096
I am going to reference the entire chapter of Isaiah 53 along with my personal encounters with the scriptures. When the Lord Jesus was laid on Calvary's Cross every sickness and disease imaginable was laid on Him. Meaning at that point he had aids, sars, cancer, herpes etc.. He bore these diseases. So that when these disease try to attack our bodies we can fight it off with the word of God and if need be medication. CASE AND POINT...My sister was diagnois with lyumphoma in the last stages. Well they had sent her home to die. The Lord Jesus told me that she would not die but live and declare the works of the Lord Psalm 118. It sounded crazy seeing they had only had given her 4 months to live. But I believe what I heard and I began confessing her healing. Every time she called me crying about dying I would tell her what the scriptures said. and it was you will not die but live and declare the works of the Lord. I will make a long story short. My sister lives in Michigan and no one was equipped to help her, she found doctors at UIC in Chicago to take her case and experiment on her. The gave her extra large doses of chemo. Yes her hair fell out and she was very sick. One thing that the doctors found amazing is that she would not loose any weight. Instead her her appetite increase causing her to balloom to over 300lbs. Later we found that her weight aiding in her recovery. God took the foolish things of this world and condound the wise. Anyway my sister's cancer is in remission and has been for 3 years because of His stripes. She is loosing weight now. Her hair is more healthier and prettier than before. All because of Jesus bearing this sickness. So to answer your question a physical and mental healing is available to all christians and non-christians. The Lord doesn't have respect of persons.....But without faith it is impossible to please Him. Faith in His word will make Him move on one's behalf....I hope I helped!! Sin is removed only by asking for forgiveness of one's sin and accepting Chrtist as your personal Savior. Then He can forgive your sins and yes heal your land (mind and body). I hoped I helped |

53 | How can God let us go through pain? | 1 Pet 2:24 | jbw | 82102
Philipians 3 verse 10 states: That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings being conformed to his death (NASB). I wished we lived in a world where there was no sickness, diseases or pain. But once Adam sin, then sin, suffering, pain happens to us all. tragedy doen't have a common place. It happens to everyone and any given time. As a matter of Fact. In John the 14th chapter (NASB) the Lord Jesus promised us tribulations. He said in me (Him) you shall have tribulation but be of good cheer He has overcome the world. Meaning every sickness is not unto death. In Matthew 17 verse 21 it says. But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting (NASB). Then Isaiah 53 states that by the Lord Jesus stripe (sufferings) we are healed. Tell him to consecrate himself, wash his face and go on a fast. Deny himself certain food, maybe even television programs. Put his parents name in certain certains prayer list where some Christians can prayr for them on a consistant basis. The word says that the Effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much James (NASB)...Take the matter into his hands..Tell his parents to start confessing the word that says that they shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord Psalm 118 (NASB. One man's sin cause sickness, diseases (Adam)..But Glory to God One man's death and resurrection can lead to good health (Jesus). Stop pouting and let's get busy.....First ask the Lord to heal his parents. Then start thanking the Lord for their healing..If you have faith as the size of a grain of mustard seed you can say unto this mountain be thou remove and be cast into the sea and it will obey you. Last but not least the word says that when you pray believe that you have whatever you ask for and you shall have it MARK 11 (NASB). I hoped I helped...Let's get busy.... |
