Bible Question: What is vow? What is vow in old testament and old testament? What is the resalt of vow in new and old testament?thank you for your urgent answer.God bless you. |
Bible Answer: Eccl 5:4 When you make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow! Eccl 5:5 It is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not pay. vow: A solemn promise or pledge to do a certain thing. A vow is a promise to do a certain thing. If you search the scriptures you will find that God is a God of intergrity. His word is BOND. MATTER OF FACT HIS WORD IS HIM. God actually vowed to Adam that if he actually ate from the tree of knowledge good and evil that he would surely die. Adam ate and Adam surely died a spiritual death. We are made in the likeness of God so God wants and desires us to say what we mean and mean what we say. Bottom line in the old and new testament if you vow (make a promise) to do something the Lord God expects us to do it. The result of not keeping a vow ruins your credibility with man and with God. No one will ever take you serious...ever I hoped I helped |
