Quiet Time!! You give of your financies, but do you give of your time?? Time to read the word; Time to study the word; Time to listen to the Word; and Time to meditate on the word. "Behold, to obey is bettet than to sacrifice." I Sam. 15:22. Personally, you might want to read the first 23 verses. The CurtMan |

22 | What is the glory of God? | Is 42:8 | TheCurtMan | 87382
In plain and simple terminology, I'm under the impression that God's glory, is His reputation, it's what He is know for; praises and honor for the things He has done, and are known for doing. "No", I don't think men has the tendicy of sharing God's glory, I think men has the tendicy of CLAIMING God's glory for themselves. Men are selfish; why share that which you can claim for yourselves?? One of the ways we tend to claim God's glory is by crediting ourselves for the ability of getting up in the morning and being able to provide for our households; not realizing, and in some cases not caring that it is through the Goodness of God; it is through the Love of God; it is through the Mercy of God that we were able to do this. Hey, we credit diet; excercise, and human wisdom for these things. What's God has to do with me waking up in the morning?? |

23 | handling relationships as a Christian | Matthew | TheCurtMan | 85935
Greetings Gab, I'm known as the CurtMan. Unfortunately, sometime God's Will for our lives and I emotions tend to go in different directions. Sometime ago I met this young lady that I really did love. We made plans to get married. We broke up three days before the wedding. I was shattered beyond belief. She wasn't a Christian, I called myself one although my actions said differently. Shortly thereafter I met the woman that God had intended for me to meet. We've been happily married for nine plus years. Had I married that first lady, I probably never would have met my wife. It's not easy remaining in the Will of the Lord, but it is the best place to be if you're his child. I can not advise you on you next step in refference to your girlfriend because your emotions are involved. However; I STRONGLY suggest two things 1. Take your problem to God in prayer and be willing to follow His leading, I mean afterall, He do know best. 2. Don't just read, but study and meditate on Matt. 12:45- Matt. 13:23. Just outta curiosity, are you 100 percent sure that this is the women that your Heavenly Father would have you to be with?? I mean if you're His child He's interested in your obedience, and if He has someone else lined up for you and you reject that person for this one; or if you marry this woman and she continues to disrespect you in other areas, then might not your marriage ends up with a divorce?? And do you know how God feels about divorce?? |

24 | Temptation - Physical or in thought? | Matt 4:5 | TheCurtMan | 94275
Due to the temptations that Jesus suffered, I find it hard to believe that it was only in His mind. I believe that being hungry is more physical than mental. According to Hebrews 4:15, Jesus was tempted in all things as we are tempted in all things. Our temptation is physical as well as in thought, therefore the temptations of Jesus would have had to be physical as well. As far as the transportation of Jesus to these high places, one would only be making assumptions because scripture do not say 'how' he was transported, only that the devil took him. However; Jesus was there expressly for the purpose to be tempted v.1, so I guess it would be fair to say that He ALLOWED the adversary to lead Him. The CurtMan |

25 | deception | Matt 7:12 | TheCurtMan | 90580
I had a co-worker that consistently lied on me, to me, and about me. She got under my skin so bad, that all I wanted to do was to punch her dead in her face. A friend of mind who was a minister told me to pray for her three times a day. He suggested that the more that I pray for her, the less hatred I'd have for her. I had nothing to loose but my job for fighting, and my testimony for being a Christian, so I tried things his way. and IT WORKED. I became more concerned for her spiritual welfare then I was for the things she was doing to me. Personally I suggest the same thing to you. Pray for that person three times a day at a minimum. The more that they upset you, the more you should pray for them. Eventually God will handle you problem like he handled my problem. Your problem isn't the other person, and what they're doing to you, your problem is self, and not knowing how to handle the situation. The CurtMan |

26 | Knocked out by holy spirit | Matt 16:6 | TheCurtMan | 90382
Are you aware of any scripture that indicate that the Holy Spirit has the tendicy of knocking people out?? It is normally a practice that is proformed by faith teachers, and as far as I know, it is antibiblical However; if you are aware of such a scripture that indicate this, please share it with me and lets discuss it. 27 | What does Gen2:24 means | Matt 19:5 | TheCurtMan | 116679
Actually, in short order I have always believed this verse to indicate that at the time of marriage, woman, become man's first and primary responcibility. I'm aware of too many marriages where the mother have a hard time letting the son go. She comes between the husband and the wife. The son let this happen. The wife feels as thought she is second place in her husband's life after his mother. According to this verse, that should not be the case, the wife should be the husband's first and primary responcibility over moms, dad, money, job, friends, relatives and everything else with the exception of our relationship with God. |

28 | Were Women ever Crucified? | Matt 23:34 | TheCurtMan | 99666
Hey Justme, very interesting question. I’m personally not aware of any scripture that specifically says that a woman was ever crucified, but I believed that they were. Simply because I’m not aware of any place in scripture where a woman escaped the consequences of her actions simply because she was a woman. Now there’s one for the Women Libbers. A question regarding the parable of the Landowner (Matt. 21:33-39). If the vinedressers killed the landowner’s Son, any reason to believe that they wouldn’t do likewise to the Son’s servants, in likemanner regardless of their gender?? The CurtMan |

30 | Does Bible give evidence of the trinity? | Matt 28:19 | TheCurtMan | 85668
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth-Gen.1:1. This is where everything started. God the Father was the speaker of the Word, He said "Let there be light", and there was light. God the Spirit was hovering over the waters. According to John 1:1-2 In the begining was the Word, and the Word was WITH God, and the Word WAS God. He was in the beginning WITH God. This is of course Jesus, the Word of God. This is also the same beginning that is recorded in Gen. Now you have God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Now take a look at Isa. 44:6-7. "Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me THERE IS NO GOD'. "THERE IS NO GOD BESIDES ME", v.5 chp.45. Back in Gen.1:26, God said, "Let US make man in our image..." Who was He talking to?? The Key to understanding the Trinity doesn't come from simple Bible reading, it comes through faith and BIBLE STUDYING. God has many different attributes, many different names, for example, the word/name God in Gen.1:1 was translated from the word/name Elohim, which among other things indicate a plurality in unity. Meditate on that one for awhile. To know what meaning is applied, is to understand the context the word/name is used in, and to understand the usage of that word/name in that culture during that time. The bible STRONGLY supports the doctrine of the trinity but only if it's understood and read in it's proper context. Don't just read your bible, STUDY your bible. Just out of curiosity, and to make sure that we're on the same page, what's your difinition of the trinity?? The CurtMan |

31 | From what are we ransomed? | Mark 10:45 | TheCurtMan | 115613
So just how far off base would you say that I am if I told you we were ransomed from death?? "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" Romans 6:23. "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me" Psalms 51:5. And of course, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23. By right, I should be hellbound, but my Lord and Savior loved me so much that He laid down His life so I could be with Him in eternaty. I just saw that movie The Passion. Because of it, I now have a stronger desire to "Love thy enemies". Jesus went through all that suffering partly on my behalf, almost two thousand years before I was born. Had it not been for that suffering, I would be eternally lost. What is holding us hostage? Personal Desire. According to Gal. 5:16-17, without the Spirit of God, we would not have the desire to "Walk in the Spirit", but fulfil the "lust of the flesh". And according to Romans 8:5-8, those who are after the flesh, can not please God. I believe Personal Desire is holding us hostage to death, and that Jesus made a "way of escape" by giving His life as a ransom. The CurtMan |

32 | Born into the Kingdom of God? | Luke 16:18 | TheCurtMan | 92320
How about a different figure of speech?? You say Born into the Kingdom, and it's no telling what you might get. You say Born again, then just about everyone is on the same page. Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people, like you said. Who are those prepared people? Try reading the 3rd chp. of John. the first 18 verses. Personally I believe it to be self explainitory, if not post your questions, and you will get an answer. The CurtMan |

33 | Can I get a description of hell? | Luke 16:19 | TheCurtMan | 114688
I guess a good starting place would be Luke 16:19. It talks about this rich guy that went to hell, (KJV). The guy was suffering greatly, and knew it. It mentions flames and the fact that the guy was in so much torment that he actually believed that a small drop of water off of someone’s finger tip would soothe him. He had his memory. He was able to remember the fact that he had brothers. He might have even remember people trying to pursade him to live a godly life. And more importantly, Hell is a oneway trip, once you go in, the ONLY time you come out is to be judged and to be cast in the Eternal Lake of Fire, your Eternal Resting Place, providing you’re not a Christian that is, Rev. 20:13-15. 34 | Can I get a description of hell? | Luke 16:19 | TheCurtMan | 114753
Russhell, I've taken the time to read the responses to your question regarding hell. I have to admit that Kalos gave a much more scriptural detail answer then I did. And I have to agree with Kalos in the regards that hell is a real place. It is as real as Heaven; as present day earth; even as the air that you're breathen. It is a real place. If you don't mind me asking, what provoked such a question?? And, are you satisfied with your answers?? |

35 | Does Luke 16 use the term 'parable'? | Luke 16:23 | TheCurtMan | 86054
Dear Tim, Does it really matter rather Luke 16 is a parable or not?? The reason that I ask is because Jesus did not tell stories to pass the time. What I mean by that is that if you study the parables that He told, you see that their all based on lessons Christians need to learn. For example take a look at the Parable of the Soils, Matt. 13:1, then look at the meaning of the parable in v.18-23. Are you trying to tell me that you don't know peope that fit each situation within this parable?? How about the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares?? How many false teachers in the world do you know that is twisting the Word of God to the degree that the Children of God is having a difficult time decerning the difference?? Take a look at the answer to this one in V.36-43. The point is this, take the time to study the parables, get the understanding out of them, and know what Jesus is trying to tell you. Now take a look a Luke 16. One of my favorits to be honest with you. What's the lesson we need to learn here? Several. Jesus said something like it would be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to get into heaven. Heres a man that had plenty, but what he didn't have was love, I Cor. 13:1-13 and Matt. 25:31-46. Ok, so the rich man ended up in hell. He was in great torment, v.24-25. V.27-28, this guy remembered his brothers. It must be a terrible thing to be in Hell and be able to remember your past life, especially remember those people who tried to keep you outta that place. V.29-31 tends to indicate that our salvation is based on the information within the scriptures, "Moses and the prophets" were a direct refference to the Old Testiment Scriptures. To answer your question, is Luke 16 a parable?? Personally, I don't think so because Luke was a real live individual that Jesus raised from the dead. Also, notice that in Jesus' Parables, He never really mentioned anyone by name. In this case Lazarus; Abraham; and Moses are mentioned. But like I said earlier, rather it is a parable or not it really doesn't matter, because Jesus didn't tell parables to just pass the time, there was a lesson He wanted to get across, an as a Christian, it's our responcibility to learn what that lesson is and apply it. 36 | How has the "Passion" film changed you? | Luke 24:26 | TheCurtMan | 115616
As a matter of fact. I was just stating in another post that the movie has given me a stronger desire to "love thy enemies". I doubt very seriouly that I'll be able to explain this as clearly as I'd like, but according to Eph. 6:10-12, my battle is not with flesh and blood. I believe that the adversary can use people to accomplish his will. He uses them as vessels. To watch all those people yelling for Jesus' crucifixion in the courtyard of the movie, just ate me up. We as Christians need to love one another as commanded by Jesus. For if we don't show the world love, true love, who will?? The adversary?? I believe he'll be getting his chance soon, and according to scripture, he messes it up big-time!! |

37 | Who to blame for killing Jesus? | Luke 24:26 | TheCurtMan | 115617
Jesus did come to die for us. And the Jews were responcible for crucifying Him. But do that justify what they did?? They lied on Him; belittled and degraded Him, then they turned around and nailed an innocent man to the cross. That was why He was here, but do that make what they did right?? Was it not Peter who stood up and accused the Jews of crucifying the Lord of Gory?? Was he right in doing so?? Judas' reasoning for betraying Christ really was not about fulfilling prophecy, but it was about the money. At least that's what I got out the movie. The CurtMan |

38 | Am I once and forever saved? | John 3:16 | TheCurtMan | 85308
There are at least two verses of scriptures that has direct implications to your question. Romans 8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Simply put, there is no sin that a Christian can commit that will condemn them to Eternal Death. Christ has already paid the price for all our sins, past; present; and future. If by chance you might get the impression that as a beliver you can do as you will, I STRONGLY suggest that you read Romans chp. 6;7; and 8. The second verse that deals with your question would be John 3:16 and 18. v.16 "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him SHOULD NOT PERISH but have EVERLASTING Life." V.18 "He that believeth on Him IS NOT CONDEMNED, but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the Only Begotten Son of God." These verses, as well as a number of others, taken in context, proves God's Love for you as well as your Eternal Salvation, and there is absolutely NOTHING in Heaven or Earth that can separate you from either. This biblical principle can be found through the entire reading of the 8th chp. of Romans. The CurtMan |

39 | How can one be sure of his/her salvation | John 3:16 | TheCurtMan | 85313
Dear Kalos, In veiwing your question, I recalled a time when I had the same concerns. So I'd like to share this story with you. "How can I be sure of my salvation??" That was my question. I was hit with the definition of Faith. "Things hoped for but not seen". "That is how you know that you are saved, through faith." For me at that time that one didn't get it. Then I was given passages like Romans 8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus" That one kinda helped alittle. For me, I became more assured of my salvation through my attitudes and actions. Salvation can not be earned through good works, but it was the Spirit within me that prompted me to do the things that I ordinarily would not have cared about. Like studying the bible, changing my attitude, and striving to develop the Christian Characteristics in Gal. 5:22. All these things combined with everything I was told aided me in the assurance of my salvation. God has an enemy, more powerful and craftier than man. If this enemy had his way, the children of God would be a memory and no one would even care about God or His expections. If you care about God and His expections, you have the same enemy, and believe it or not, that's a good thing. Something else someone told me when I asked that question, they said, "The simple fact that you asked that question shows that if you're not sure of your salvation, you will be soon, providing that you really are a Christian, and providing that you've asked God the same question." I sincerly hope that my testimony helps you The CurtMan |

40 | What is this "active force"? | John 3:16 | TheCurtMan | 88096
What is God's Active Force?? God's Active Force is what you get when you inaccurately translate the bible from what God ment it to be to what the adversary wants it to be. You are right, the Holy Spirit is a He and not an it. The same doctrine that calls the Holy Spirit 'God's Active Force' gives more credit to the adversary being a person than the Holy Spirit.
