AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 19:5 and said, 'FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND SHALL BE JOINED INSEPARABLY TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH'? [Gen 1:27; 2:24; Mark 10:7] |
Bible Question: What does Gen2:24 means |
Bible Answer: Actually, in short order I have always believed this verse to indicate that at the time of marriage, woman, become man's first and primary responcibility. I'm aware of too many marriages where the mother have a hard time letting the son go. She comes between the husband and the wife. The son let this happen. The wife feels as thought she is second place in her husband's life after his mother. According to this verse, that should not be the case, the wife should be the husband's first and primary responcibility over moms, dad, money, job, friends, relatives and everything else with the exception of our relationship with God. |
