141 | how many unforgiven sins are there? | John 1:1 | ebrain | 167027
If you mean how many sins will not be forgiven, then the answer is only one, and this one can only be commited by a non christian, in other words if you have become a christian, then you have gone past the time in your life when it was possible to commit the unforgivable sin. The only way to become a christian is as a result of believing what the Holy Spirit tells you i.e. that you are a sinner, and are in need of salvation. If you accept His invitation to receive Jesus as your own personal saviour, then you will become a christian, but if you refuse, then you are calling Him a lier, and as a result will not be saved. In our Lord's day the unforgivable sin was to describe the Holy Spirit's work, as the work of the Devil, see Matthew 12:22-32, in our day it is calling the Holy Spirit a lier. |

146 | Does Jn 15:16 "choosing" apply to us? | John 15:16 | ebrain | 166628
Jesus is speaking to all His diciples, both past, and present, note we also are His diciples. Bearing fruit, however, is dependant on our letting Him have complete and total right of way in our lives, and that is what the Bible calls faith. You carn't He can, lets go. |

147 | Who was Cain afraid of? | Gen 4:14 | ebrain | 166626
I believe Cain was afraid of persons who at the time he spoke these words did not exist, but he considered would in due course be born into this world. See Genesis Ch 5 vs 3-4, after the birth of Seth, who was born when Adam was 130 years old, Adam went on to live for a further 800 years, and fathered both sons and daughters. I am concluding that Cain knew that as time went on future gererations would be told of what he Cain had done, and as a result, kill him and fulfill what he had said at Ch 4 v 14 would happen. God also knew this, which is why He put a mark on Cain see v 15, in order prevent him from being murdered. |

148 | Christians with demon oppression | Rom 8:16 | ebrain | 166509
A christian is indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and it is therefore impossible to be demon possesed at the same time. The question is, is this person a true born again beliver, James when speaking to christians says in Ch 1 v 14, that it is your own desires that lure, and entice you, and not God, a demon, or anyone else. What can be done. well Prayer to start with, that is fervant earnest believing Prayer. You will find Mark 11:24, with 1st John 5:14, helpfull in this respect. May the Lord bless you, and all thoes for whom you pray. |

149 | Unforgiveable Sin? | Eph 1:7 | ebrain | 166507
Ephesians 1:7, refers to sins that can be forgiven, and therefore cannot refer to the sin which is unforgivable. The explanation is quite simple, you will note that the first two words are "In Him", the only way in which you are considered by God to be in Him is as a result of your having believed what the Holy Spirit has told you i.e. that you are a sinner heading for a lost eternity, and in desperate need of salvation. The unforgivable sin, would have been to call the Holy Spirit a lier, which you clearly have not done, as you have accepted what He has said to you as being true, and you have repented, and received Jesus as your own personal saviour. Only thoes who refuse to believe what the Holy Spirit says about them, will as a result not be forgiven. I hope that this is of help. |

151 | MOMMAPBS HAVE YOU READ JHON 3.1-8 ANCER | Acts 2:38 | ebrain | 166347
The word water at John 3:5, has nothing to do with Baptism, it refers to amniotic fluid, and therefore physical birth, as opposed to Spiritual birth. In case there is any doubt as to what was intended to be undrestood, then verse 6 makes this clear, as it repeats verse 5, but uses the word flesh in place of water. Water Baptism follows Spiritual re-birth, it does not preceed it as is made clear at Acts 2:38, Please do not put the cart before the horse. |

153 | Does Satan Really Exist? | Bible general Archive 3 | ebrain | 166121
My understanding of Job 1:6-12, is that Satan is a real person, the LORD says so , and that is good enough for me. It is abundantly clear from the above verses, and also Ch 2:6. that Satan is not able to do anything without Divine permission, this is confirmed in the NT at 1st Cor 10:13. This explains the apparent contradiction of 1 Cron 21:1, and 1 Sam 24:1. |

154 | What tenses do they use, past, present, | Bible general Archive 3 | ebrain | 166052
As far as the original Biblical texts are concerned there are no capital letters in either the Greek, or the Hebrew. I know for a fact that NT Greek has past presant, and future tenses, I am not sure if this is also the case with Hebrew. No doubt some one on this web site will advise us both. |

155 | i want you to tell me about trinty? | Matt 28:19 | ebrain | 166045
What exactly is it that you want to be told about the Trinity? Are you asking for Bible verses that indicate that God is in fact a Trinity? If so, then the above verse tells you that Baptism is to be in the "name", one name, not three names, of three persons. Note, the human mind is not capable of comprehending the Trinity, but by exercising the faith that God has given to us we can accept what Scripture tells us. Type the word Trinity into the search box on the upper right of the screen, and you will find that this subject has been discussed many times. |

I have heard it said that this refers to Tectonic Plates, and the start of Continental Drift, but I am not sure, it is just speculation I don't believe that this can be proved right, or wrong? ,however, I am inclined to think that this might just be the case. |

157 | Was it a man after God's own heart | Acts 13:22 | ebrain | 165889
Because the Lord God knew that David would in due time repent, for what he had done, and this is shown to be the case as Psalm 51 reveals. Raeading Psalm 51 shows us that no matter how much we have sinned, it is never so great that God will not forgive the truly repentant sinner. I know, He forgave me, I was almost 30 years old, and you can have no idea of the enormity of my sin, before He saved me. I thought "I had gone too far, and had done too much that I knew to be wrong for God to forgive me", however, He showed me that despite the enormity of my sin, He still loved me, and I was unable to resist any longer, and was overjoyed to receive His salvation. |

160 | is jesus god? | 1 Cor 15:28 | ebrain | 165251
This question has not come out as I at first wrote it, it was as follows. How can Jesus who is coequal with God, also be subject to God? Jesus said at John 8:24, "unless you believe that I AM, you will die in your sins". Note. I am convinced that Jesus is God, I have no problem with the Deity of Christ, it is just 1 Cor 15:28, that I have a problem with. |
