Bible Question:
Hey Luke, Good day to you. I think sometimes people get this question confused with the unforgiveable sin. What do you think? In Christ, lionheart |
Bible Answer: Ephesians 1:7, refers to sins that can be forgiven, and therefore cannot refer to the sin which is unforgivable. The explanation is quite simple, you will note that the first two words are "In Him", the only way in which you are considered by God to be in Him is as a result of your having believed what the Holy Spirit has told you i.e. that you are a sinner heading for a lost eternity, and in desperate need of salvation. The unforgivable sin, would have been to call the Holy Spirit a lier, which you clearly have not done, as you have accepted what He has said to you as being true, and you have repented, and received Jesus as your own personal saviour. Only thoes who refuse to believe what the Holy Spirit says about them, will as a result not be forgiven. I hope that this is of help. |
