181 | is creamation right | 1 Cor 15:51 | ebrain | 164283
I see no Biblical problem, what makes you think that it might not be right? Whether your body is burnt, or not, it returns to the basic elements from which God made it in the first place, and He can do so again. The body is material, the soul/spirit is not. |

182 | Does the Bible tell us to go to Church? | Heb 10:25 | ebrain | 164060
I think you will find the above verse helpfull. It would appear from your question, that your daughter is not saved, which would explain why she has no desire to go to church, if however she does get saved, then in all probibility, she will have a strong desire to meet with other christians. The verse at Hebrews 10:25, is addressed to saved persons, and not the un-converted. |

185 | What are the 2 types of Grace | Eph 2:8 | ebrain | 163896
If you are refering to the Grace of God, then there is only one. Any one who says otherwise is mistaken, although it might be said that some people are capable of exibiting grace to others, but this grace will not forgive sins against God. |

186 | amplifeid bible of luke 17:34 | Luke 17:34 | ebrain | 163801
Read also Matt 24:40. in that part of the world where it gets very hot from mid day onwards, work outdoors was only done in the morning. Two in a field therefore refers to the morning, Two grinding at the mill refers to indoor work because it was too hot to do work outdoors, and Two in a bed refers to night. What our Lord is saying in fact is that when He returns (which will be at one moment in time), that because of the shape of our earth, it will be morning in one place, afternoon in another place, and night somewhare else. I hope that this is of some help to you. |

187 | Why did Lot "sit in the gate" in Sodom | Ruth 4:1 | ebrain | 163799
At that time the city gate was the location where the Elders, and Judges sat, see Ruth Ch 4 verses 1-6, this will give you the picture. Lot being a respected member of the comunity was therefore included with thoes who sat in the gate. It was a place of authority, and judgment, rather like a courthouse in our society. In Matthew 16:18, "and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it", here Jesus is saying that all the power that satan has will not prevail against the church. |

188 | help with understanding mark 7:27-30 | Mark 7:27 | ebrain | 163702
One of the reasons our Lord spoke to the woman in this way was to reveal that Gentiles were often found to have more faith in Him than His own kinfolk the Jews, who ought to have known better. |

190 | Did Israel ever extend to Euphrates? | Gen 15:18 | ebrain | 163505
As far as I am aware, there is no Biblical, or secular record of the Israelites ever having occupied all that land, but believe me some day soon they will.
191 | pre-adamic/cain's wife | 1 Tim 2:15 | ebrain | 163503
As far as I am aware, the word of God gives no indication of this, read 1 Timothy 2:13-15, which seems to indicate that Eve had not had any children before the fall, in other words the human race was not at that time in existance, and had to be started, in order that Jesus could be born into it, and thereby provide salvation for both Adan and Eve.
192 | Do I need to leave the church? | 2 Cor 6:17 | ebrain | 163499
Yes I would say leave this particular meeting, and find one where the Lord is honored, and the conduct you describe is not found, but you must of course do this prayerfully.
193 | Does Sin mean the same in Old and New | Rom 5:14 | ebrain | 163474
Yes it does, what reason do you have for thinking that there might be any difference?
194 | Why was his heart hardened? | Ex 4:21 | ebrain | 163442
Pharoah hardened his own heart, it is unthinkable to suggest that God would do anything to prevent a person accepting Him. Pharoah was considered to be a god by the Egyptians, he allready had a hard heart, and considered that he was in competion with the tribal god of the Hebrews. When it says "the LORD hardened Pharoah's heart", all it means is that an allready hard man was made even harder as a result of what the Lord our God did to the land of Egtpt. It is put this way ,however, so that you have yet another opertunity to exercise faith in God, as required at Heb 11:6. |

195 | Jesus laying down of His powers | Luke 5:22 | ebrain | 163297
Read Phil 2:5-13. Jesus limited himself to the limitations that we all have, so that he could show us how God intended us to behave towards the Lord in the first place. To find out just how this is done, see how he did it, by reading the following verses of Scripture. John 1:18. 5:19 and 30. 7:16-17. 11:41b-42. 14:8-11, especially verse 10. Acts 2:22. and John 20:21-22. Not my will, but thine be done. I hope that this is of help. May the Lord bless you, and keep you safe. Edwin Brain. |

In addition to the excellant post of Searcher56, allow me to add the following. Please read John 10:17-18, in the Amplified version, and tell me if you know of any man who after he has died, has the authority/power to raise himself back again from the dead?. If you are able to do so, then you have answered your own question. |

198 | the deity of christ died at the cross? | John 4:24 | ebrain | 163152
No, God is a Spirit, you cannot kill a Spirit, you can however kill the body that the Spirit choses to indwell, which is why Jesus said "a body have you prepared for me" (Heb 10:5). Jesus never lost His Diety see John 20:28. |

199 | Why did Jesus at some times, after doin | Matt 12:41 | ebrain | 163106
Read Matthew 12:22-32,and you will see that He was rejected by the Leaders of the Nation, up to that point He had clearly indicated to all that He was indeed their prommised Messiah. After they had rejected Him, and had even said that He was working for the Devil, He withdrew His offer, and told His disciples to tell no one who He was. That is the reason for His change of attitude to the Jewish Leaders. |

200 | What is the definition of salvation? | Bible general Archive 3 | ebrain | 162980
Salvation is the process by which the Lord our God intervenes into the life of a person, to enable that individual to accept God's way/method of saving him/her from the consequences of remaining unsaved, ie eternal damnation, going to Hell. This is the short answer, I am not able at the moment, due to time constraints to give a more detailed one. |
