1401 | what needs to be done for Christ to come | Matt 24:14 | justme | 54411
Mommapbs: Yes that is true, and a fine message from a tired Old Soldier who keeps on going and going. I would say there are many places that have no TV or Radio. This I know is the case in some places in South America. Perhaps still in America as well. In the mid west there are such poor people that you would not believe me if I told you. In John 1:9 "Ther true light that gives light to every man was comming into the world." Romans 1 tells us man is with out excuse. We are responsible for the light God has given us. I take the fact Christ is judge and everone has had enough light to be respobsible enough to answer for. I am not the judge, but every man will be judged in light of Christs Mercy and Grace. This is a very complex scripture and I accept is as it is. justme. |

1403 | what needs to be done for Christ to come | Matt 24:14 | justme | 54365
That is a good point. I am not sure we cah hurry God up. I believe God the Father is the only one who knows, and nothing will change Gods plans . If the Church won't do it Then God cannhave te rock scry out. I am still looking for something very specfic some one believes is holdibg what yet needs to be fulfilled, much likeyours, but perhaps something very specfic. Thank you. agape, justme |

1404 | Revisions to King James Bible? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 54363
Searcher: Bless you! That was more than I had hoped for. Yes I do have a reprint of the orignal KJV. Reading is slower becauses the letters are different v is u ans many more like this. The spelling is very simular to mine at times, and in some cases it;s a struggle to get the word others are quite easy. I could led some to Christ with it! so at it's, most odd reading in 1611 to now Th e basic word remains basicly the same as near as I can tell. So you got a big hand shake and a God bless you, well dome! Ye doeth well in instruction of the brethern. Here are a few examples of odd spellings. Mark was Marke, sins sinnes, Son Sonne, Forgive forgue, John Iohn, John 3:16 "For God so loued y world, that he gaue his only begotten Sonne: that whosoeuer beleeueth in him, should not perish, but haue euerlasting life." So ye can seeth it is not also beyondthe the vernderstanding of vesens today. By the way The 1611 had the "Apocrypha" which was take out some where along the line. This is all very interesting to me. I hope youas well. Nelson published a word for reprint of the 1611 in 1982 which I think I remember it was rather costly for a hard back. I do not know if it is still in print anylonger. agape, justme |

1405 | Money stole from illegal establishment? | Ex 22:9 | justme | 54359
Emmaus : Your advice is street wise. Many a Christian and nieve person has faced a premature death because they presumed on Gods grace. I sat near a 20 yearold male charged with murder, for tow trials, First was a hung jury. The last had dirty witnesses. His life has been a living hell on earth, I was striped searched evertime I went to visit, I could ware no shoes, socks, or shirt or belt just shorts and pants. He was allowed to ware just ubder shorts and chained to a bed and able to use the tolet/sink. He sleped on a stainless steeel bed of sorts. No matter what this person does there are big risks either way. Most pastors don;t know how to deal with this. Per haps Chuck Colsoms ministry might help with some idea. There are men who will put away someone for less that 100 dollars. I worked in a down Phoenix mission and i got smart real fast! My advice is feed the hungry first, Then they can listen with a full belly. I will remember Ammi's friend in prayer. agape, justme |

1406 | why did god decide to create a woman | Genesis | justme | 54356
In my heart: I think if you read chapters one and two again you will see that no work was done after man was created and God fromed woman. God and adam and Eve rested on the seventh day. Adan was imcomplete with out eve. If God would have reversed theorder woman first then man, Eve would have been imcomplete as well. However If Eve would have been created first the carnal theologins would have had a field day on all knids of how Adam came about. Not the least would have been Adam was her son by some event, I don;t want to go into. I do believe in the exact 24 hour day as in creation. agape, justme. |

I am some what confused by your response. However I do agree any man or woman who is a Christian and makes a covenant will be accountable to God for it. That Conenants are nothing to be takenin jest. agape, justme |

1410 | Too many Translations in English? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 53962
Hank: I pay more, but I have bought leather bibles, and use a product called INSTANT SHINE it is clear and keeps the leather plyable. Brfore thic product came out I used a product from KIWIE. I have some 25 year old bibles that still are very nice but show natural ware. Also Zondervan stii offers better grade Bibles, and Broadman. Most welll conctructed bibled offer a life time replacement against bad workmanship. I agree about pastors who use these child like versions. My NASB updated is the bets they make, and something about leather seems special for the Bjble. I have rebound a few bibles from the 1870's and it took several weeks of all my spare time. So I believe you are correct in saying that cheap Bibles are no bargan unless you are giving them away in mass.
1411 | rock foundation | Matt 7:24 | justme | 53857
Hank: Now I want to "side bar" with you here. I can not stand, actually sit, by and let you claim all the credit for being so dismally ignorant. I have long considered that when it comes to being ignorant that I am sure I am far more ignorant than you! I am not sure if I am close to first or last plaace. Perhaps most ignorant would be the place in which I am not to far from. Now please remember ignorant is not related to stupid. Stupid means you won't or can't learn. Ignorant is you are unaware, or don't have full knowledge. So please save some honor for me! I am sure after two or three decades more I will be up to the ignorance level of some of our more educated Forum writers. So please be patient with me. You see I am where you were a long time ago. I hope that finding the most ignorant person in the forum does not become a low, high place to be. Maybe this note will spur a whole new long series of notes? agape, justme |

McGracer. I agree with you. However I can remember going in to the Navy in 1964 and the Giddeons gave me a New Testament, which I carried several years. Every man who will take one is offered a NT. Is that not significant? The NT has the total plan of salvation. I dare say if we just handed out Old testaments you would see many come to Christ. I am just trying to make a point. The testaments make up a wholr. agape, justme |

In the Andes: Hi friend, justme again. I don't agree we should mainly study Oomans to Jude. You leave a huge hunck og the "GOOD NEWS" out. I would point out that the Sermon on the Mount is a crutial instruction for us all. Again what would we do with out refering to John Chapter 3. I have known Christians who would argue the very opposite that the first five five books of the NT are the most importany. I think the NT is exactly as God intened.... all to be read in context. agape, justme |

1414 | is jesus god? | John | justme | 53853
John 3:1 to 36 Gives a complet order of "footdteps" if you want to call it that. There is no sarcasm in my answer. I am assuning you are an honest seeker of God. Some time it is hard to see that there are people honest;y wanting answers to sone questions that older Christian take by mistake as a jest. I sincerely am sorry by by the answer "inmyheart" gave. This is a very kind person and I an sure it was not ment in anything but a poor choice of fun. I have done the same at times, so please forgive. We are glad you are hear. agape, justme |

1417 | Who is qualified? | 1 Tim 6:17 | justme | 53648
Dear In the Andes: Oh my, talk about picturing something wrong , I sure did. After reading this answer I KNOW what you mean. Bless your heart. I have seen several missionaries in Bolivia, and Mexico and I came back with a changed attitude. In fact in 1982 when I went to La Paz, Bolivia is what God used to so me I was not a Born again Christian. Can you imagine it took me 37 years anda trip to Bolivia to wake me up? It was March of 1983 I found Christ as my Lord because of my trip to Bolivia! Now, I could not agree with you more on how much misssionaries give up, and sacrifice for being in "the ministry". I do not think it is fait to have missionaries raise their own support. Some go to the field with less than 90 percent of the needed funds. Half way through the year churches forget a month or two and then others who promised to be faithfull supporters have hard times and you suffer even more. Before you know it you are at 55 percent. Then some supporters want to know what you did with THEIR money? Am I right? I was in the pastorial ministry here in the US for a good length of time. In getting my BA degree, my M.Div. and MARS it cost almost 100,000 dollars by the time I finished. At one church I stayed three years with no raise in pay, and we had our fourth child there. No the church did very little, and it was darn very little. However others in strange ways helped in ways only God could done. We had a Ford Van with 165,000 that got 12 mpg. We bought a cheap 4 door Mercury Topaz. We heard about how we misspent our money! I made 65 dollars a week for three years. Ministry is not as glamorous and joyfull as we thought. We suffered, went without as church members has the very best of everything. Yes God rewarded our faith, but the cost was very high. But I feel it was worth it from my point of view. My two oldest children, now adults, have had a hard time resolving their hurts, but have done so. I kow of a Canadain Baptist Missionaary who left Boliva, because they wer going to have board the young children while the ministered to the Bolivians in La Paz. I agreed with his choice. What good are you to God if you let someone else raise your children? Who ever suggested such a stupid thing failed to see priorities that are God given. I believe you need the very best tools and living conditions. Nothing hurts me deeper than to see a missionary come to the church and put on a dog and poney show to begg for support. Sometimes they are not even given food, or gas monet that took to come to the church! I hope you can feel my hurt I feel for you. I believe I can honestly say I understand. What mission group are you connected with? I have seen the Andes, they are the most spectacular mountians I have ever seen. My plane LLoyds Bolivino almost crashed going from Santa Cruze to La Paz. There was a general Government strike. A unexperienced piolet was in charge. The stewardest got sick it was so bad. We bounced all over and the left wing came within 5 feet of hitting the mountians edge! Would you believe I went back to La Paz in 1986! It was in civil unrest and the military shot bullets to get people to move. That was out side our hotel. Well Bless you friend. agape, justme |

1418 | The three Earth Ages | Genesis | justme | 53572
Toni: Oh now I understand! The theory you refer is what I call the gap theory. Daa I sure feel I should have got that one. There isno biblical evenence for it, even though it was popular in the mid fifties. That says something when I remember that far back.We have clear evidence of foot prints of Dinosaurs and mans at the same time. Also in the Grand Canyon, the layers af foscils of wide types through the layers of earth. If the gap theory were true you would expect to see simplier life , and more complex as you get higher in the layers. Which is not seen that way at all. Most now believe that after the foold the earth atmosphere changed so drasticly, that the ice formed at the caps and killed off many species of animal life. In the south pole ice they have drilled for core samples and see that the earth has been cycles of polution, from time to time in cycles. More and more science proves the Bible is correct. I hope this is a mor helpful answer. agape, Justme |

1419 | self control / spirit control | 1 Cor 9:25 | justme | 53419
Johnny: WHOA! I think you have a burr in your saddle, friend. Why are you coming across like your in a corner, and trying to fight your way out. Take a breath. Calm down and let the peace of Christ fill you. Let me assure you that I am not a follower of Mosess. My LORD is Jesus Christ. I do not agree with SINCHAT TORAH. I try to show kindness, and respect, by listening, and dialogue. That is my life style, rather than argue, and attack. We all have different ways of dealing with the beliefs that are beyond Christian Orthodoxy. Be wise Johnny and see there are a few new forum participants that seem to advocate a eclictic view of Christianity, and combining Jewish beliefs and traditions. This is an opportunity to to learn how to dialogue with these people who need the full understanding of Christ' completing the law, and His blood was the final sacrifice once and for all. Perhaps you missunderstood something I wrote. Basicly I was suggesting that the more you know anout cults the better equiped you are to dialogue with someone of that belief. With the srcipture as a two edged sord and the wisdom of knowing how their belief systen has specfic flaws we know of, we can be a more effective tool. In Romans 3:24 "and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." Johnny there is no other way but salvation by Grace through Jesus! We are in total agreement. Let your love for others show so they can see Christ in you. Be at peace, we are Brothers in Christ. agape, justme |

1420 | self control / spirit control | 1 Cor 9:25 | justme | 53341
Johnny: After reading several Q and A's I think you might well do yourself some good by learning your Jewish roots. Please remember Jesus was a Jew. Jesus did not do away with the Law. Jesus fullfiled the law. The law still exists today, and in reality Jesus maded it even more to awaken that we are sinners. When you more fully understand our Jewish background then you will under Christ much better. Think about it? agape, justme |
