121 | birth control use | Gen 38:10 | jlpangilinan | 125953
There is no clear statement from the Bible about birth control. Me and my wife, practicing what we call normal birth conrol (not using any medicine, contraceptives, etc) we have one child, a daughter. We do this to make sure that we can support our daughter to feed her good, and send her in good school to have good education. I think there is not wrong about the intentions. Philippines are over populated, 4.5 million jobless, the survey says most of those jobless are live in squatter area, survey also said that those jobless are the most have many children, averaging 8 or 9 child per household. Imagine having 10 children without permanent income? 2Co 12:14 Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children. 122 | Who was Potiphar? | Gen 39:1 | jlpangilinan | 125124
Potiphar dedicated to Ra; i.e., to the sun-god, the Egyptian to whom the Ishmaelites sold Joseph (Ge 39:1). He was "captain of the guard", i.e., chief, probably, of the state police, who, while they formed part of the Egyptian army, were also largely employed in civil duties (Ge 37:36; marg., "chief of the executioners"). Joseph, though a foreigner, gradually gained his confidence, and became overseer over all his possessions. Believing the false accusation which his profligate wife brought against Joseph, Potiphar cast him into prison, where he remained for some years. (See Joseph.) EASTON BIBLE DICTIONARY ENTRY |

124 | Was moses differn't from other babies | Exodus | jlpangilinan | 17152
Some introduction for Moses: In the New Testament he is referred to as the representative of the law and as a type of Christ (Joh 1:17; 2Co 3:13-18; Heb 3:5-6). Moses is the only character in the Old Testament to whom Christ likens himself (Joh 5:46 Aside from that, it is written in the scriptures s that Moses was exceeding fair, so he was different from his brother: Acts 7:20 In which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father's house three months: If you will see introduction to Aaron is different: He is not exceeding fair but a man of a ready utterance. AARON He was to be the "mouth" or "prophet" of Moses, i.e., was to speak for him, because he was a man of a ready utterance (Ex 7:1-2,9-10,19). I hope it will help Johnny |

125 | Moses was afraid why? | Ex 3:6 | jlpangilinan | 111604
Ex 3:6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. Moses are human it given to a man to afraid of his life Ex 33:20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. De 32:39 ¶ See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. God kill and make alive, do you think if you are moses you will not afraid in God. God bless, |

126 | Why Jews want to know | Ex 3:13 | jlpangilinan | 111602
Moses as human afraid that the people of israel will not believed on him if he present himself as man from God. Jews as a human being would ask for the proof if really sent by God, and one of that would be asking moses who sent him and what is the name of the Person sent him. Ex 3:13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? |

127 | Was Paul Eloquent? | Ex 4:10 | jlpangilinan | 26970
The person that you mention was MOSES: Ex 4:10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.1 2 Paul has best education in his life, a teacher a lawyer at the same time. Paul Saul was born about the same time as our Lord. His circumcision-name was Saul, and probably the name Paul was also given to him in infancy "for use in the Gentile world," as "Saul" would be his Hebrew home-name. He was a native of Tarsus, the capital of Cilicia, a Roman province in the south-east of Asia Minor. That city stood on the banks of the river Cydnus, which was navigable thus far; hence it became a centre of extensive commercial traffic with many countries along the shores of the Mediterranean, as well as with the countries of central Asia Minor. It thus became a city distinguished for the wealth of its inhabitants. Tarsus was also the seat of a famous university, higher in reputation even than the universities of Athens and Alexandria, the only others that then existed. Here Saul was born, and here he spent his youth, doubtless enjoying the best education his native city could afford. His father was of the straitest sect of the Jews, a Pharisee, of the tribe of Benjamin, of pure and unmixed Jewish blood (Ac 23:6; Php 3:5). We learn nothing regarding his mother; but there is reason to conclude that she was a pious woman, and that, like-minded with her husband, she exercised all a mother influence in moulding the character of her son, so that he could afterwards speak of himself as being, from his youth up, "touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless" (Php 3:6). We read of his sister and his sister's son (Ac 23:16), and of other relatives (Ro 16:7,11-12). Though a Jew, his father was a Roman citizen. How he obtained this privilege we are not informed. "It might be bought, or won by distinguished service to the state, or acquired in several other ways; at all events, his son was freeborn. It was a valuable privilege, and one that was to prove of great use to Paul, although not in the way in which his father might have been expected to desire him to make use of it." Perhaps the most natural career for the youth to follow was that of a merchant. "But it was decided that...he should go to college and become a rabbi, that is, a minister, a teacher, and a lawyer all in one." |

129 | who is god | Ex 6:3 | jlpangilinan | 136523
The Supreme Being, creator of heaven and earth. Ge 1:1 ¶ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Holy and Jealous God Jos 24:19 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins. No one can deliver out of his hand De 32:39 ¶ See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. Never change: Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. In His hand is the soul of every living thing: Job 12:9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this? Job 12:10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind. He cannot lie: Tit 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; above all a Lving God: 1Jo 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Those are some of God qualities, His name in hebrew was YHWH, too many names created with that hebrew letters. God names was mentioned in Isa 63:16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting. Father God everlasting name. Jesus Christ in the new testament did not mentioned any name in refer to His Father but "Father" "Our Father" "My Father" Christ did call His Father Yaweh or Jehovah or other names. God bless, |

130 | why god make river blood? | Ex 8:13 | jlpangilinan | 70603
To show his wonders among the people. In my own assessment, God wonders can change the hearts of egyptians to join and believe in the God of moses instead in thier own gods. Ex 7:20 And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood. Ex 8:13 And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields. God take out the frogs as moses requested, and take away the frogs to give way in another wonders that He will do through moses. God bless, Johnny |

131 | One lamb per household | Ex 12:3 | jlpangilinan | 77601
Exodus 12:3 is talking about the ordinary lamb and not Christ. In the old testament it is the offering if someone broke the law. In thenew testament it is not acceptable the offering of blood of beast such lamb, bird etc. It is Christ the ultimate sacrifice: as the lamb of God: Joh 1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! it is not also applicable that if someone receive Christ the all household is forgiven by it could be, we can influence them by our fruit and we could bring them to the Lord that is why in John3:16 is written "whosoever believed" and not onceman believe and his household is ok. 132 | principal value of the book of Exodus | Ex 12:51 | jlpangilinan | 76261
Exodus explain the great deliverance of the nation Israel. It is aslo show how hard for israel to just forget what they have in Egypt and everytime they struggle in thier journey the blame God and moses of why God brough them out of egypt just to suffer. The same in our daily lives, its aplly how hard for us really to forget our sins, and sometimes we are temted to go back in our old life inspite of we already received the truth of the Lord Christ. We aslo blame God if we face pain and struggle in our life. We aso blame God after we receive His truth, if we had pain and sorrows, we aslo curse God everytime there something bad happened in our lives. Not knowing that what God want is always the best for His children. God bless, |

133 | What are generation curses? | Ex 20:5 | jlpangilinan | 33449
Exodo 20:5 "You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, If we read the very last part of this verse, it is stated there "of those who hate me" those who hated God. If our parents are idol worshipers the chances for thier children to become idol worshipers are big because of tradition and whatsoever. But if one of thier children find the truth in Jesus Christ and worship the true God, the curses in thier generations will stop. It is mention there "those who hated me" or hated God. If the person become a "Christian" have a faith in Christ it is clear that this person is not hated God anymore. The sins of the father is different from the sins of the son. 1 John 3:4 Hebrews 5:13 Ezekiel 18:20 It is very clear that curse is for those who hated God, and if the generations of the idol worshipers continue, meaning if there is no one from thier genration seek the true God the curse will continue because the possibility to the children of an idol worshiper will become an idol worshiper too. But if anyone from them seek the true God and not hated God the curse will stop because it is clearly stated the God curse those who hated Him. I hope it would helps. God bless, Johnny |

134 | Are Christians to keep the Sabbath? | Ex 20:8 | jlpangilinan | 124368
Q1. Are Christians obligated to keep the Sabbath—the Sabbath of Old Testament Judaism? Answer: Christ taught us how to keep the sabbath in a right way: Lu 14:3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day? Aside from that if the Christian will keep the sabbath exactly the same with moses, it will create a trimendous problem in our society today. I magine if the doctor will not do any duty in the day of sabbath? Imagine if there is no flight, car, drug outlet, hospitals are close! do you imagine how difficult it is? If we remember that going out in the day of sabbath is punisheable by death. u 15:33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation. Nu 15:36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses. There is no way it will fit with the teaching of Christ! Question 2. Are Christians obligated to turn Sunday into a kind of a Sabbath with similar restrictions? Answer: My answr is the same follow the example of Christ how He observed it will. Question. 3. Are Christians to reject all Sabbath Law and enjoy freedom from that Sabbath Law and leave any other designated day alone, as to prescribing any specific restrictions? Answer: In the first place sabbath is not for Christian, it is not for us! De 5:3 The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day. It is for the Israelites, not even for thier fathers, I am sure it is not for the Christian to keep! 4. What is the Lord's Day, as Sunday is called in the Scripture? Who instituted it, and to what degree are we obligated to it? Before you submit an answer to one or more of the above questions, make sure your post is biblically based and, whenever possible, you have included Bible references to support it. God bless, |

135 | can u kill yourself an still get to heav | Ex 20:13 | jlpangilinan | 32451
It was written in the bible, "Ex 20:13 Thou shalt not kill. " it includes yourself. It is God has the authority to take anyone lives because He ws our creator. It is also written: Mr 12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. How could you love yourselves by killing it or to get suicide. But your question really is if she still go to heaven? That questions only God can answer. It is God can justify if she go to hell or heaven. It is God knows everything why your foster mom killed herself. Wait until final judgement when you saw her in heaven thats the time you can assure where she is. God bless, Johnny |

136 | Is this a sin to do | Ex 21:6 | jlpangilinan | 112849
As a Christian we have to set as a good example! I agree that God will not judge as in our appearance but as we can agree go to church naked it not good to our co-churches and communities! Piercing is the same thing, I dont think a very good and faithful christian will do peircing in thier belly. If it good I am sure apostle will do that and taught that. Mt 5:13 ¶ Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Mt 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Mt 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Mt 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. God bless |

137 | When ever you want to | Ex 21:10 | jlpangilinan | 102753
it is not a common custom to have sex out of marriage or having more than one wives anyone in OT. it is the heart of the people hard and always wanting to do that. For example God prohibit even to eat the fruit of forbidden tree but it happened. God even in OT want God the person to have only one wife: Ge 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. "and shall cleave unto his wife" not unto his wives "and they shall be one flesh" the two shall be one flesh, and four wives will be "one flesh" David was punished because of his immoral relationship with bathseba, his son was died and even david ready to accept if the Lord will take his life. It means it is not really a common to have immoral life. 2Sa 12:13 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die. God forgive david when he repent. Christ said that having more than one wives is not a custom even in OT: Mt 19:7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? Mt 19:8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. Will see that because of the "hardness of thier heart" moses done a writing of law in divorcement. But in the beginning it was not so. Why it is because it so serious of NT? because it is the law of Christ, and Christ want us to leave in Holiness. 1Th 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. As He said He made a new covenant for us not according to thier fathers: Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. 138 | what does this mean Exodus 22:16 | Ex 22:16 | jlpangilinan | 14498
I don't know if I can answer what you would want to know. King James version: Exodus 22:16 And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife. IF YOU BOTHERED BY THE TERM "MAID" IT IS A MEDIEVAL TERM FOR "VIRGIN" OR "LADY" LIKE "MAID MARRIANE" IT MEANS "VIRGIN". I PUT HERE OTHER TRANSLATIONS I hope it would help: Ex 22:16 If a man seduces a virgin who is not betrothed and lies with her, he shall pay the "bride price" and marry her. I am also using King James Version, but sometimes if the term is very hard for me to understand I did consult other translation. I hope I answered your question. Ex 22:16 |

140 | Why Nadab and Abihu to go up mountain | Ex 24:1 | jlpangilinan | 24125
Ex 24:1 ¶ And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off. Ex 24:2 And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him. The reason why because they are son of Aaron they worshiper of God. They accompany Moses, and they worship form afar off. It is only Moses went near the lord. Nadan and Abihu both died when they offer strange fire to the Lord: Le 10:1 ¶ And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. Le 10:2 And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. ABIHU father of Him; i.e., "worshipper of God", the second of the sons of Aaron (Ex 6:23; Nu 3:2; 26:60; 1Ch 6:3). Along with his three brothers he was consecrated to the priest's office (Ex 28:1). With his father and elder brother he accompanied the seventy elders part of the way up the mount with Moses. Nadab liberal, generous. (1.) The eldest of Aaron's four sons (Ex 6:23; Nu 3:2). He with his brothers and their father were consecrated as priests of Jehovah (Ex 28:1). He afterwards perished with Abihu for the sin of offering strange fire on the altar of burnt-offering (Le 10:1-2; Nu 3:4; 26:60). God bless, Johnny |
