121 | Imputed sin vs. sin nature-the same? | Rom 5:12 | Scribe | 63513
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: The idea of all being sinners is not hard for us to understand. Because we are well aware of the fact tha all have sinned. Now consider this last part of the verse and read it again. Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: for that all have sinned, in other words death passed upon all becuase all have sinned. We all know that babies go to heaven. So it is obvious to us that though they have inherited a sin cursed form of the perfected body soul and mind originally created; that imperfection that is part of them (getting sick, etc); they are still considered innocent of sin as in that definition of sin called "sin is the transgression of the law" they are going to heaven and their salvation is bought by the redemptive work of the Cross even thought they do not have the conscience to act upon it. Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. It is possible that the ideas of "sin nature" have become a little more mystical than they need be. The idea of man being born imperfect into an imperfect world that was ruined and ravaged by death on degradation and that all nature is cursed with this downward trend toward death from the moment we are born is the idea. When it says all have sinned it means that every person that lived long enough to choose between the good and evil has choosen evil. Some did repent and learned how to choose good even in the OT but they all choose evil at some point. A baby that has not yet reached the age of knowing to choose good or evil; (and there is such an age) Isaiah 7:16 For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings. if the baby dies before this time, they are not judged as sinners who resisted the Spirit of God on their conscience.. Genesis 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. They are coverd by the Grace of God and the Work of Christ to "redeem man from the curse" so that they also inherit that perfect body and perfect redemption, that those that are old enough to put faith in Christ can choose by faith. |

122 | spirit led | Rom 8:14 | Scribe | 63510
Romans 8:13-14 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. From this passage we can conclude that whatever else being led by the Spirit might include it certainly has to do with resisting sin or resisting the lusts of the flesh. The Spirit leads men to resist sin, the enemy leads him to "go ahead and jump." Luke 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Luke 4:9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: The Spirit leads all men to follow after righteousnes.. the flesh man will resist the Spirit and follow after flesh.. the spiritual man, he who has been born again and learned to identify his flesh as crucified with Christ will submit to the Spirit. Genesis 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man,... Yes even these unregenerate men before the Flood were said to have had the Spirit of God striving to get them to turn from their fleshly ways. Being led by the Spirit is therefore listenting to that voice in the conscience, for the sinner but for the saint it is a regenerated conscience which has a heart to not only hear but to obey... Isaiah 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. |

123 | Why is "laying on of hands" so important | Heb 6:2 | Scribe | 63415
Some excellent posts have been given to you so far and I am ecouraged by such thorough posts. This is what will make this forum a treasure for many people world wide. One thing I would like to add is that though it seems obvious that Paul is wanting to take them on unto perfection, the list he gives has been treated by the church for centuries as the main meat of theological teachings. So if these be the first principles then I am wondering when someone is going to start teaching like they are moving on to perfection. Instead it seems that many spend their entire ministries on this list. Than being said I think the real key here is in the NASB amplified way of stating it...[These are all matters of which you should have been fully aware long, long ago.] See it is not that these are ideas of less significance, how can foundational priniciple of oracle of Christ be considered a non important issue. The idea is that "YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO KNOW THIS BY NOW... do we really have to go back and lay this foundation again.. What do you really need to go back and get born again AGAIN? Are you needing to learn all the things you learned when you first came into this Life?" As you read the passage you see him say as much when he speaks about a person that has known these things and goes back to living the old life anyway.. The main idea seems to be that it is a sad thing to have to keep dealing with the basics of "you should stop sinning and live in holiness..." Or.. when you get baptized you are buried with Him that you might walk in newness of life... There is a time when you should be focusing on the newness of life not the identifying with Christ on the cross as a constant repenting of sins... So putting it in this light (you should have already moved on..) then the laying on of hands would fit that which we see in Acts when the apostles laid hands on new believers and they recieved the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This was a beginning thing, now they are to walk in that baptism of the Holy Spirit and all that the Spirit brings. Why look for another laying on of hands.. or think you need a new initializing all the time.. the initializing experience is good and to be sought, but then you need to quit focusing on that laying on of hands experience that helped you get into the baptism of the Holy Ghost to begin with, and move on to the many gifts that the Spirit brings and understand what it means to edify in Love others. This is the way I see this passage and I hope it helps to add to the pool of knowledge. |

124 | What is baptism | Heb 6:2 | Scribe | 63410
From this verse alone we see that baptisms as subject of doctrine is plural. Now in comparing this to Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,.. we see that there is One baptism as it relates to the baptism into Christ that each believe must be able to testify he has in order to be a believer.. Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ... But we know that Paul did not mean there was no other baptism mentioned in the bible because we see this passage in Acts...Acts 19:3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.Acts 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.... And not only do we see that there was the baptism of water in the Name of Jesus (or Father Son and Holy Ghost) but also that there was this Baptism of the Holy GHost which in all points was an entirely seperate event than that of water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ. Now there is also a worthy study to be done on the very meaning of the word baptism and that this was not a new concept to the Jews at the time that John came baptizing. I mean they had many baptisms or washings as purification ceremonies and they understood the idea of baptism as a religious observance. However they usually had methods of washing hands, or parts of the body. To do it as a whole body washing like John was doing was a statement of agressive intensity of conversion which of course was just like how John Preached. A going all the way.. a bringin forth fruit meet for repentance.. no more of this playing around with religion.. A radical making the rough places smooth, and crooked places straight... type of commitment. A taking hold on the kingdom of God by violent faith and not letting go until God blesses you with a change of heart. This is the whole body baptism. But It of course takes faith in Jesus Christ having paid the price for us in order for us to enter into to that rest of ceasing from our own works to trust in Him and therefore we identify with His death and resurrection in the water baptism in the name of Jesus. So on the one hand we have John the Baptists baptism which speaks of that human desire that we do have the ability to express which is a whole hearted going all the way with God.. and then you have the Baptism in the name of Jesus in water which is different than the baptism of John and that is that you are saying ... though Johns baptism was a good start.. the whole hearted human effort to get right with God... the baptism of Jesus is that faith that you accept His death burial and resurrection to make you righteous and already earned by Christ. Then you rise up clean and holy before you have even done one good work (baptism in water is not a work) and you go forth rejoicing and doing the will of God that has made you righteous by faith. I hope this blessed you. It blessed me to write it. :) |

125 | biblical reason for todays mondern toung | 1 Cor 1:7 | Scribe | 63319
I am answering this question over a year after it has been posted. It is very unlikely that the original poster will read it but I am going to address it carefully with biblical evidence as the poster requested in an effort to help build this wonderful database of biblical interpretations from fellow believers from all over the world. Looking at the text tecnotrog is referencing we see a peculiar scene... Acts 2:4-13 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this? Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine. Several things are obvious here at first glance.. one is that more than the 12 were speaking, since more than 12 languages are mentioned. Most commentaries I look at agree that outpouring of the Spirit was upon the entire 120 and not just the 12 apostles (Acts 1:15...number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,) most also agree that all of them were doing the speaking in tongues. However some commentators and many modern christians say that they think that only the 12 did the public speaking in tongues when the crowds gathered. In reading the passage we see that there are more than 12 nations that heard them speak in their own language. Therefore if it were only the 12 speaking then they must have had such a gift of speaking in tongues that one or more of them could move from one known language to another as the Spirit willed. Or another possibility would be that the hearers were having the miracle upon their ears so that it would not matter how many nations were gathered 17 or 200 they would have all heard their own language. Some have suggested this and let us take it up for a moment. If it did not matter how many nations had gathered, that they would still have heard their own language, then the question would have to be asked which language was coming out of the speaker? One particular language or whatever the Lord wanted at the time? If the miracle happened upon the ear of the hearer than it does not seem fair to conclude that one could know which language the speaker was speaking. One could say he was speaking Arabic, but another that just walked up says nay he is speaking my tongue which is of Egypt. Who is right? And if this be the case then how can you know when you hear a tongue whether it is a known language or not. Here are two from another country both hearing their own language from the same speaker. Now if that is not the case then you must say that one of the 12 was able to speak one language and then instantly start speaking another. If we limit it to only the 12 then one of these two scenarios must be correct, 1) that the miracle occurred on the ear of the more than 12 nations that gathered, or 2) that the speaker could switch tongues, because more than more 12 nations heard their tongue. The other possibility of course is that all 120 were speaking and not just the 12 in which case one could then make an argument for their stand that authentic speaking in tongues is always in a known language, while siting this passage as their biblical evidence. Now we consider the verse.. Acts 2:13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine. What are the possibilities here? 1) these men heard them speak in languages that were known, the disciples having never learned them in language school.. and said “they are drunk” Instantly we see how illogical that view would be. The last thing I am going to think if I see you speak in a language you have never taken the time to learn, (and especially if I hear them speak in more than one language they had never learned), is that you are drunk. I might think you are a genious, nay more than a genious, a superman, one with intellect beyond any man that had ever been before.. but I am not going to think your inebriated with alcohol. 126 | OT practices not followed today? | Rom 14:5 | Scribe | 58828
Romans 14:5-6 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. Good Question. The New Testament had much to say about how such things as all meats were indeed clean and the message behind the dietery laws was the point, though in thier blindness they never did get it. The Truth has now come which is Jesus Christ and our personal relationship with Him. Sin is still around and we must resist it but we do so by the more obvious methods of not "eating unclean things" such as watching ungodly TV shows that fill our minds with sexual lusts, or not "touching the unclean things" such as living in sexual sins, alcohol, anger wrath, pride, and other sins of the flesh. The blind man will not eat pork but will sleep with a new girlfriend every few months. The blind Jew will keep laws that are convienient to give him a sense of legal obligations yet not ones that he considers too much of a drudgery or ones that might be impractical. The reason some Jews who do not believe in Jesus will keep some Laws and not others is that they have been emboldened to approach their religion this way through false teachings in the Talmud going back to the time of Christ and built upon so that they keep "for the law of God" the traditions of men. These traditions have changed the Law of God to make it more palatible to the people and more beneficial to the teachers (such as monetary giving). The Lord will not accept it and they will all be ashamed in the end. The honest one how really attempts to keep all the law will end up having faith in Jesus as the fulfillment of the Law. |

127 | "women keep silent in the churches" | 1 Cor 14:34 | Scribe | 58825
As you stated the context about keeping silent in reference to asking questions disorderly is correct. To go beyond that is to make up your own anti-women doctrine not support by the context. I do not mean you personally but anyone that attempts to teach more than what is said here. Paul used the same terminology when he said ... 1 Corinthians 14:28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.... and again... 1 Corinthians 14:30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. The same greek words and the same context so if a person would launch out on a "women cannot speak in the ministry gifts in the church false teaching" then it seems that there is just as much here to say a man cannot speak either. For twice the pronoun "He" is told to keep silent in the church and only once it says a woman should keep silent. So it seems to me that if you cannot understand the context based on "give place" or silence as in "yield the floor" or "do not disrupt" then you would at least apply the same error of heurmeneutics for the man that was told to keep silent in the church as well. I am being ludicrous to make the point that the instruction is that the women stop being disruptive.. not a ban on women in ministry. Here is proof that women were accepted in the new testament church as both teachers and ministers... Acts 21:9-11 And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy. And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus. And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles. This shows that in meeting together the women did operate in these gifts and it was a blessing to the body. May you also experience the edification that comes when all saints, both men and women allow the Spirit of God to operate through them in the mutual edification that comes only when we meet together corporately and let God have control. Romans 1:12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. |

128 | cannot out-sin the grace of God? | Heb 4:1 | Scribe | 58821
Hebrews 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. I am not sure what the phrase was meant to say "you cannot out-sin the grace of God." You cannot sin so much that God cannot save you. Or let me say it like this. No man has sinned to such a degree that the blood of Christ on the cross could not pay for it. However Faith must be exercised on the part of the believer and Faith that brings salavation teaches us to deny ungodly lusts. The Grace of God is such that if we exercise this true faith we are promised salvation. If on the other hand we do not exercise faith but rather sin continously with no heart of repentance and faith indulging in the lusts of the flesh, then how can we say we have faith? And even if we once had faith, but choose not to have faith today then we have no promise of Grace. Grace is only to the believer. And a believer is defined differently in the Bible than many so called believers might think. This is the definition of saving faith... Titus 2:11-12 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; |

129 | how old? | Gen 6:3 | Scribe | 56055
There is no mystery here. God said it would be 120 years that he would let them live. After that he brought the flood. If you read it in context it is obvious. Only when people teach it or quote it in a sermon do people get this idea of it being a declaration of a lifespan of a human. Then once they have that in their minds they read it thay way and when someone says .. read the context and understand that the flood came 120 years later,,.. they are afraid to change their minds becuaes their pastor taught that this was a statement about lifespan and after all.. he is the pastor and he knows more.. etc etc.
130 | Is smoking a sin? | 1 Cor 3:16 | Scribe | 56051
I think you will get different answers. The main point would be to allow God to have total control of your life. If you know that God wants you to quit then you can have faith that God will help you. I can tell you from experience that I went through the same question when I was saved. I smoked for several months before I even thought about whether smoking was a sin or not. I was born again and still smoked. There came a point in my spiritual growth within a few months when I realized God was convicting me of this unhealthy habit so I began to pray about quiting. To make a long story short the Lord taught me some great truths about resisting sin. In a nutshell I learned that I needed to be willing to suffer in the flesh to cease from sin. I told the Lord that I would suffer withdrawal of nicotine even to to point of death than to deliberately sin against him and grieve His heart with known sin. I went through a week of withdrawal and then I found the smell of ciggarettes very irritating and obnoxious. God will deliver you if you are willing to suffer for Him. This is how we should live for the Lord. Is sexual temptation strong for you? Then be willing to suffer the denial of yielding to it even to the point of death.. what will happen? You will get victory over it and it will become offensive to you outside of marriage. Name any type of sin, if you are willing to suffer in the flesh to cease from it, you will soon be free and strong in that area of your life. Only those that keep yielding to it stay addicted. God Bless you as you follow Him. |

131 | What do the 120 years pertain to? | Gen 6:3 | Scribe | 56033
Neither. It means that God will let men live 120 years longer and then the Flood will come and wipe them all out. It was not a declaration of a lifespan for humans. Also notice that is directly related to the fact that the sons of God (those that were wanting to call themselves by the name of the Lord Gen 4:26) began to corrupt themselves by marrying ungodly women from Cains camp until there were no righteous people left but Noah's family.
132 | isaiah 65:20 ? | Isaiah | Scribe | 55706
The reason strongfellow gives for saying heaven is seen here... Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. The new earth will have a "new Jerusalem" We know that prophecy in the old testament will skip whole ages in one verse. In Joel 2:28 you have an example often used to demonstrate this idea. Peter quoting Joel on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2 says "this is that..." but then we know that the rest of the verse was not yet,.. the part about the moon turning to blood and the day of vengeance of God. So it could be that though Verse 17 mentions the coming new heaven and new earth, the prophecy then shifts to a promise of something in Jerusalems future. A 100 years fits into the present time. Maybe the promise is that God will restore Jerusalem and they will prosper to a degree that they will have good health and hospitals and medical care etc. If it is referring to the millenial I think that 100 is a bit short don't you? I mean why not 1000? Now shifting from this passage to Revelation I believe that the New Jerusalem is a spiritual revelation of something bigger than we can comprehend. I don't think it is about a literal city with streets of gold, but a revelation of something better than streets of gold but we cannot understand it becuase eye has not seen nor has the mind of man ever comprehended the invisible things of heaven. May God bless you in your study of His word. |

133 | What is the meaning of "line upon line" | Is 28:10 | Scribe | 55629
It seems to me that the context of Is 28 leads one to think that this idea of line upon line and precept upon precept here, as spoken of in this context in this passage is something that the Lord did not want them to have to rely on to know Him. It seems that the message is that He would that they come closer and have a more Spirit Filled relationship with Him, but they would not. Instead thier answer is "no, we don't need all that intimate stuff. We would just like a list of rules and we will keep them, thank you very much." So God says "fine then I will give you line upon line and precept upon precept that you may go and walk in them and fall and be broken because you will all miserably fail." However he who would know doctrine (true Holy Spirit doctrine) are those that are as they that are weaned at the breast of God almighty, they will intimately walk with Him in relationship and the truths of the word will be made alive by virtue of the Holy Spirit living in them and by their walk of faith and utter dependance on the Lord. If they will... this is the rest that God will give them. Not the sabbath day but the rest of the Holy Spirit in them and leading them. Not a list of rules like sabbath rules and such, but the Holy Spirit in them saying .. this is the way walk ye in it. Not line upon line (rules to keep) but even this Filling of the Holy Spirit and recieving gifts of the Holy Spirit for service such as the gift of tongues which is prophesied in this passage by Paul as having to do with tongues (1 Corinthians 14:21 In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.) Yet for all that they will not hear. If this prophesy is about tongues among other things it speaks of and Paul said it was, then we can logically conclude that the subject also includes this experience that always accompanied tongues which was the baptism of the Holy Ghost, so when he says "who will know doctrine?" and answers with "He that is weaned from the breast" and then contrasts it with... Isa 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. Isa 28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. And again contrasts this with... Isa 28:13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. He makes it very clear that there is a difference between a walk of line upon line and a walk of the refreshing rest of the Holy Spirit. I understand that we must live our faith by the Word of God and we must take all scriptures into account when understanding doctrine, but that is not what line upon line means in this passage. This line upon line here means more like a list of rules to keep so you can appease your conscience yet not really love the Lord with your whole heart. It is a snare. As I heard a brother of old once write.." A snare of a step in the right direction.." it is good to keep the "rules" but it is not enough to really know the Lord. If you would Know the Lord you must allow His Spirit to completely own you. My God bless you in your study of His Word. |

134 | Dreans, and Angels? | Heb 1:14 | Scribe | 55190
Continued from last post.... One thing that these dreams do is to help guide you in those specific ways that help you in your own personnal battle against the strategies of satan that are being launched against you and your ministry. We are all different and one persons battle differs from another. God knows what you are facing and will face, where your weaknesses are and what you need to be working to strengthen. So everything you need for life and godliness are contained in the Word, God will use a dream to drive home a specific promise or truth from His word that you need. Consider these God given dreams as sermon from God to you always using the written word truths to instruct you but specifically something that is urgent in your life to get a grasp on. Sometimes these dreams will have to do with more people and speak of a bigger picture than your life only. God will and does give dreams that relate to world events and prophecy and these type of dreams are more common among leadership whose lives effect more people and whos decisions effect more people. There is much to say about dreams than what is usually said. I have gone to long to comment on angels. :) |

135 | Dreans, and Angels? | Heb 1:14 | Scribe | 55187
Acts 2:17 makes it clear that the prophecy of Joel were to apply to what they were witnessing when they said "what is this" and so Peter says in this context the promise is to you and your children and all that are afar off, that applies to us and not just the far off of other countries. So we are now we also on whom the end of the world has come are going to have visions and dreams, and prophesy. When they experienced these things they did not elevate them over the scriptures. Of course we read the word and follow it as our only rule of faith and practice. However when the Lord wants to lead someone more specically and in a personal manner as it relates to their local church or family or personal lives they can and often do have dreams. These dreams stand out from the rest. When you have one you will often awake in the middle of the night with a sense of urgency to write it down so you wont forget it. The Lord will give you the meaning. Of course we know that if you think the meaning is contradictory to scripture then you are wrong it is not from God. When teaching about dreams you have to say that to weed out the flakes and the self willed disobedient that want to use any excuse to disobey the word. But most often you will hear teachers make that the main point of their teaching on dreams and never say anything else. Really that part about flaky people is a sidenote just to make sure no one misunderstands you. After having said it there is much more to the subject of dreams from God for instruction and guidance. I will attempt to give an example. A saint has a dream the dream is full of detail and even while they are dreaming they know the dream is a message from God trying to teach them something, they will get a moment of clarity where they know they are in a dream and they know it is not a normal natural dream but a God given dream. They will try to pay attention to the subject and details and tell themselves they need to remember this when they awake. It might be a dream of them preaching to thousands in a stadium.. and they are being prepared to go on the platform.. they are aware of a sin among the leadership that put the meeting together, it is an evil sin, but you cannot remember what it was.. the men ask you privately that they want you to come up and preach to the people but you need to not worry about the sin these leaders are in and forget about it, don't tell the people.. You know, (you are not sure how) that you are not to compromise and gloss over the sin of this group of men.. You tell them.. "I am convinced that I will help the people more by walking in obedience to God than speaking a thousand words in that mic." and you walk away.. Then you wake up. It is the middle of the night.. You know you need to grab a pen a write what you just experienced in that dream. That dream will help you in the near future in something you are going to face. These thing happen today but most christians are too full of unbelief to believe that God will do it and they will discount it all with a sentence from an unfruitful intellectual christian that says the canned ..."we don't need dreams we have the Bible.. forget about it." and if the one who says it is a pastor, then many christians will forget about the dream. It only takes a day or two and they will be saying.. I had an incredible dream the other night, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was (if they did not write it down). Then sometime in the future, it may be soon or far.. This dreamer will be faced with a choice to compromise in an area of disobedience to the word by men who might be considered authorities in the church or intellects or smart christians that know more than you and they will with religous teaching try to tell you that you will minster to others more effectively if you follow their dead pattern of compromise and unholiness. (but they will use more smooth words to say it) and this dreamer will fall into their trick becuase he will forget what God told him in a personal way in a dream. Even though all truth is in the Bible there is a special strength that comes in God speaking to us in a dream the same Scriptural truths. ....Continue next post
136 | DIVORCED,REMARRIED DEACON | Titus 1:6 | Scribe | 55052
In this instance that you describe it does not matter whether he was born again or not. If a wife is unfaithful you can divorce her or if a husband is unfaithful the wife can divorce him. In this situation you can remarry. Even if you are a christian. If a Christian has a wife that is cheating on him, he can divorce her and stil be a pastor or any other ministry calling. Also if a spouse is an unbeliever and they leave you becuase your are too "religous" as you seek to serve Christ, then you are free to remarry and be a pastor or any other ministry. Now for the most common scenario. If a couple splits over arguing etc it is still not the unforgivable sin. The man who was called to pastor and went through a divorce is not banned from ever pastoring again. I don't care what denominations say God is able to save to the uttermost them that put their trust in him. If that man is called by God he will in time be changed if he has faith. The sinful behaviour of striving in the flesh with his wife and all the nasty stuff that caused the divorce will have to be purged out by the Lord, but God still has a few "back sides of the desert" to accomplish such things. When the Lord is ready and the man is changed he will be fit for the masters use and I reject any doctrine of the systems of manmade religious governments that strain at a gnat and swallow a camel in the words of Christ about divorce that would tell a man he cannot pastor because of divorce 20 years ago that God has dealt with. (No I have never been divorced) Such a man would do good to not join that dull and soddish structure of man anyway. Let him follow the Lord and seek His praise only. I am not saying divorce is ever an answer. Such a man may delay his calling by many years by such a failure, but he is not washed up. May God bless you in your study of His Word. |

137 | adulterous spouse than get remarried ? | Bible general Archive 1 | Scribe | 55051
You have probably heard this before, but it has been said that the act of having sex with another person besides your spouse kills the covenant on your part. This is a mystery and demonstrates the spiritual nature of marraige. Now that being said it has to do with an act of betrayel and the spouse has the right to divorce in that case. However if the couple split for the more common reasons of arguing then they are still in that spiritual covenant as far as God sees it and in the invisible realm there is a bond that you do not see but God sees, so if one or the other remarries and engages in sex there is a crime commited in the spiritual realm of God's moral law and this is a mystery but there are many injustices that go on that we do not understand in the invisible realm. When God says he heard the blood of some crying to him from the ground it is not poetic language but a spiritual reality that we do not hear. Now that being said. If a man commits pornographic additction on the internet, it is not a light thing. Huge and horrible autrosities agains his wife are being committed by him in the spiritual realm and demons are flooding his home like a break in a dam. If he does not take it as a matter of life and death he will lose his wife as sure as if he had committed whoredom with a prostitute which of course is what he is doing in the heart. I could say much more about this hideous plague that is the number one sin in the church today. Just remember that the sin of internet porn is as bad or worse than anything Sodom and Gommorah were doing and this cup of abomination is being drunk by many nations as it has gone out from America first and most often and now infects the whole world. This wickedness is a spark of iniquity that will bring the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience and bring upon their heads swift destruction. It is the full cup of the gentiles (as was the cup of the amorites) that is going to cause God to rise up in indignation and wrath and say "I have born long with you but you will sin yet more and more and now even the pastors and those that should be preaching the word are sitting in their offices and homes drinking in the filth of whoredoms and their eyes are full of adultery and they cannot cease from sin" Oh my brethren that read this post may we repent as a dying man ready to meet God tomorrow and if we are allowed to stay here by the grace of God let us help our brothers get free from this hideous web so prophetically named. |

138 | where is caanan? | Deut 11:30 | Scribe | 54855
(2.) The country which derived its name from the preceding. The name as first used by the Phoenicians denoted only the maritime plain on which Sidon was built. But in the time of Moses and Joshua it denoted the whole country to the west of the Jordan and the Dead Sea (De 11:30). In Jos 5:12 the LXX. read, "land of the Phoenicians," instead of "land of Canaan." From Eastons Bible Dictionary |

139 | can women be pastors | Bible general Archive 1 | Scribe | 54837
I will answer this question with a question. What if a woman was in a remote village in Afghanistan. Let's assume she is just being a normal christian and witnessing to the lost. Over a period of time many women and children are saved under her ministry. Then in order to obey the Word and assemble in fellowship they gather and there are no men yet that have joined them. They are the church, they are a local assembly and she is operating in the office of shepherd. So when there is a need for a woman to obey God in faith she must regardless of what denominations say she should do. |

140 | Code to the Bible? | Bible general Archive 1 | Scribe | 54835
I think you might find this documentation by going through the Brother who runs the Creation Science Museum in Glen Rose Texas. I cannot remember his name but a search on google.com using creation science and Glen Rose Texas ought to get you there. He has attempted to explain the math behind the code. Also he has a show on TBN and he had the author of the book on his show and they said that they had research publications on how they used shakespeare and many classics and could not do the same thing.
