1101 | Glorious church? | Rev 1:11 | Val | 206120
No, No, No we are not weak and miserable. Read the end of the book. Revelation 21 and 22. Rev 21:4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away." Rev 21:5 And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." And He *said, "Write, for these words are faithful and true." Rev 21:6 Then He said to me, "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. Rev 22:14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city. Seek Christ and In Him you will find strength. It is only doomsday to those who are not In Him. Blessings, Val |

1102 | Glorious church? | Rev 1:11 | Val | 206157
I understand completely. We get our hope from Christ so its best to keep looking to Him rather than around at other people. People are people no matter where they are. Some are negative and some are not so negative. Personally I like the not so negative. Blessings, Val
1103 | Is God opens doors no man closes in bibl | Rev 3:20 | Val | 205132
Enpolla, I am not sure right off hand. Try a concordance by looking up words that fit your topic. Based on your questions the synonyms might be: purpose, doors, open, close, work, etc. Try different ones and you should find something for your time and effort. Blessings - Val
1104 | Is God opens doors no man closes in bibl | Rev 3:20 | Val | 205150
Your most welcome. In my study of Hebrews today I see that Abraham was looking for a heavenly home in these verses. Heb 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going. Heb 11:9 By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; Heb 11:10 for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God. That can only be heaven. Can't wait to study it more. Blessings Val |

1107 | Why call Christ "Lamb" in Rev 6:16 | Rev 6:16 | Val | 214081
Dear Kent, Using this verse I looked at the cross references for it and this verse was provided Phil 2:10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, Phil 2:11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. I believe this verse refers to the time that everyone will give Christ the respect He deserves. I seem to remember that this does not mean that everyone is saved but that there will come a time when everyone will acknowledge Him for who He is. Sincerely, Val |

1108 | Is the 4th Seal for good or bad? | Rev 6:16 | Val | 219631
In reading the chapter in its context we see from verse 16 and 17 the following Rev. 6:16 and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; Rev 6:17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?" In the bible we see that God will one day punish evil. This passage deals with that promise. |

1110 | why would satan present himself to the L | Rev 12:10 | Val | 205521
Because Satan is accountable to God. Satan is not equal to God. He is under God. He is a created being.

1112 | SALVATION | Rev 14:6 | Val | 223312
There is a good website called Preceptaustin.org Kay Arthur gives the futurist view of Revelation on this site. Go to Revelation on this site and look for her lectures. This topic is discussed in Revelation Part 4, Lecture ten. Basically she says that they are Israel's offspring who hold to the testimony of Jesus during the tribulation. I believe that the tribulation begins after the rapture of the church which has not happened yet. So they are neither the modern saved Jews as they will go to heaven at the rapture with the church nor the Old Testament saints who went to heaven after Christ rose from the dead but rather Israel who believe in Jesus at the tribulation who will lose their physical life for their faith. Revelation 14:6. I hope this helps you sir.
1113 | no one was able? | Rev 15:8 | Val | 204092
Rev 15:5 After these things I looked, and the temple of the tabernacle of testimony in heaven was opened, Thomas let the verses in their context explain what it means. Looking at verse 5 we see this is the temple in heaven. It means what it says. There is not a hidden meaning. Looking at verse 8 tells us the when "until". A good starting point to find the context (context means that which goes with the verse) is to look at the verses surrounding the verse in question. So the verses that go with verse 8 would be 7 and 9. You can carry this principal further to include the whole chapter, then the whole book, then the entire bible. The next step in bible study is to look at the definations of any words we do not understand, Hebrew/Aramaic in the OT and Greek in the new. The next step is to look at cross references. Cross references where the same word is used in other passages. It is here, in the cross references, that the meaning becomes more clear. Hope this helps. Blessings - Val |

1114 | no one was able? | Rev 15:8 | Val | 204154
Thank you for your clarification Thomas. This is how I study the bible. I study one book at a time. I find who the author is and who the recepient is. I find the author's purpose for writing. I find the theme of the book as well as the theme of each chapter and how they relate to the theme of the book. I am currently studying the book of Hebrews. Now your question is how do I relate what I see in Revelation about not entering the sanctuary to what I see in Hebrews to come boldly to the throne of grace. Ok upon my first impression I see that Revelation is talking about a future time period in my opinion. However, there is no time when we cannot come to the throne of grace as this is talking about prayer. Revelation I believe talks about judgment. It takes an in-depth study of both books to properly interpret them. When we do this some of our questions will fall into place. I do not fully understand the Revelation passage but one thing I do not do is read anything into it that is not there in the verse. I use Kay Arthur's How to Study your bible as well as her inductive study bible available from the Lockman Foundation. If I am following your question, you want to know if people can be saved during the time of judgement in Revelation. I believe the answer is yes. The whole purpose of the bible is the theme of Christ Jesus as the redeemer so anything in the plan of God is to accomplish that purpose.
1115 | Who is the Sixth King of REV 17:10 | Rev 17:10 | Val | 190880
Reading in the Book of Daniel we see that the things God said about Nebuchadnezzr came true. The things He said about Medo-Persia came true. The things He said about Greece came truth and the last power Rome is described as the legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay Daniel 2:33. Then in Daniel 2:40-45 it gives the interpretation of the fourth kingdom (Rome - Matthew 2) Reading on in Daniel 7:17-28 we see from verse 24 these are 10 kings yet future who come out of the fourth kingdom. |

1116 | Why are they future. | Rev 17:10 | Val | 204215
Dear RC, Your question was a bit unclear so I looked at your previous posts 190643 to gain further understanding of your question. I see that you hold a view that the 10 kings have already been fulfilled. Is this your own view or someone who has taught you this? I draw my opinion from many hours of inductive bible study on the book Daniel. Inductive study is studying the bible for yourself. I do not wish to get in a debate about whether this has come to past or not. Hope this answers your question. Blessings, Val |

Babylon's fall is announced in Revelation 14:8. At the 7th bowl, Babylon is given God’s wrath- Revelation 16:19. The Harlot is Babylon the great - Revelation 17:5. Babylon is judged - Revelation 18:21 |

1119 | Who is the Sixth King of REV 17:10 | Rev 17:10 | Val | 204370
Sticking with the Revelation text we see that Bablylon will be no more at that future point when this judgement takes place. Rev 18:21 Bablylon is Bablylon. I do not wish to debate further on this. Let us simply agree to disagree. |
