inmyheart, I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever! Where ever I am I'll praise you my God! When ever I can I will praise you my Savior! Thank you for your post my friend! I'm sorry for the late response. After I responded to your post I shut out the lights because I had to rise early this morning. Your post was much needed. I checked my e-mail when I got up this morning, and your post was a great way to start my day! Lately things have been this way for me, not that I am to be compared with Paul: 2 Cor 7:5 For even when we came into Macedonia our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted on every side: conflicts without, fears within. Thank you again my friend! Always your brother in Christ Jesus, our Savior and Lord, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

Hi Assy, I will praise the Lord for He is kind and merciful and loving! He alone is worthy of praise! I will praise my God for He created in me a new heart and forgave me of my sins! You write: "When I asked this question before, I was told to pray and asked God to reveal to me the answer. The answer I gave previously is what God revealed to me. So I challenge each of you, to pray and ask God to reveal the answer to you." I pray continually to my Father in heaven the day long, so, a challenge to pray is not necessary, but it is good advice and appreciated. 1 Thess 5:17 pray without ceasing; In January of this year I pray to the Lord my God for more knowledge of His Word and to fill me more with His spirit of wisdom. This forum was and is His answer to those prayers. I'm reposting what I posted to you yesterday (at the end of this post), sorry for the long post. Please keep in mind that there are those on this forum that may very well be, and as far as I am concerned, our elders. 1 Pet 5:5 You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. Assy, From the rising of the sun to it's setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised. Praise the name of the Lord! Here is scripture that, the way I read it, supports the fact that Adam was the very first man (human). 1 Cor 15:45 So also it is written, "The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 20 1 Cor 15:47 The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven. Blessings! Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

Assy, All glory and honor and praise be to God our Father, and to Jesus Christ who died for our sins! You are answering a question from April of 2002, and, the answer to the queation asked is actaully in the question itself. I noticed that there are postings on this subject that, to me, support the fact that Cain married one of his relatives. I don't see in the scriptures that you have given to support your answer where people were on the earth before Adam and Eve. Blessing in Christ Jesus, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

Dear brother John, It was a cool crisp morning in east central IL this morning. It took about 5 miles before my body warmed up when riding my bicycle. The sun rise was beautiful! How beautiful are the creations of God! Praise God for the beautiful things He has created! Praise Him for giving His only begotten Son for us, who did not deserve it, but, He loved us! Dear Brother, I'm still following this thread somewhat, I haven't been able to keep up with all of the postings, and, my computer "groans" when I click on one of them. I know that this is a forum, of the which I am very thankful for, but, man, there is a little tension in some of the postings. I enjoy being involved with, and seeing some healthy discussion, and even disagreement, but, it hurts to see the children of God "bear teeth". I'm trying to follow this thread because of you, because of our discussion back in March on Romans 9. I really had a "growth spurt" then. We know from the Word that GOD is LOVE! Here is some more scripture. I'm not posting as one in authority be any means. You know that I am one of the least in knowledge as a forum member. I'm simply posting this because you are in my prayers, and, you really helped me to grow. 1 Cor 13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 1 Cor 13:3 And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. 1 Cor 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 1 Cor 13:5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 1 Cor 13:6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 1 Cor 13:7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Cor 13:8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. God bless you brother! Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

Dear Brother John, Praise be to God our Father, who created the heavens and the earth and the seas and all that there is therein, all things seen and unseen, created not by hands, but by God! Yes, praise be to our heavenly Father! As I told you my brother, I have been following this thread the best that I can. I must say that it is getting long! Some scripture came to mind as I consider the subject and the discussion. Keep in mind that I am not as mature in the faith and in the knowledge of the Word as others on this forum, whom I consider to be my elders in Christ, you included, so, I found it necessary to go directly to God's Word. Now taking into consideration that I consider these to be elders, I found myself tempted to side with this one or that one. Here are the scriptures that have helped me: 1 Cor 1:9 God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Cor 1:10 Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment. 1 Cor 1:11 For I have been informed concerning you, my brethren, by Chloe's people, that there are quarrels among you. 1 Cor 1:12 Now I mean this, that each one of you is saying, "I am of Paul," and "I of Apollos," and "I of Cephas," and "I of Christ."1 Cor 1:13 Has Christ been divided? Paul was not crucified for you, was he? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? 1 Cor 4:20 For the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power. John 15:10 "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. John 15:11 "These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. John 15:12 "This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. John 15:14 "You are My friends if you do what I command you. I love each one in Christ that are regulars, my elders, on this forum and have really grown by reading postings by all of you. Thank you! Your brother in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His prasie shall continually be in my mouth! |

John, Thanks! You always take time to respond. What do you think? Do you think that the paragraph that is quoted in your post is revelation from, or inspired by, God our Father? I'm sorry but I haven't done much reading other than the Word so I do not know the author nor the author's backround, that's why I am asking. Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! Dear Brother John, I will make a joyful noise to the Lord my God! In my heart I am leaping and dancing with joy the day long becasue I know that my God and Savior is with me, and guides my every step! No matter where I am or what I am doing I know that I can talk with my Savior! Blessed be the Lord forever! John, you will remember that you and I exchanged postings on Romans chapter 9. In fact, one of my replies was this: (I've reached a new level of convidence and boldness in the Holy Spirit that I had not known before through this discussion. Not confidence in myself, God forbid! for there is no confidence in the flesh, but the confidence that God is in control and has predestinated everything! There is apsolutely nothing that He does not know or see or hear, and, that He has not preordained. Lord please forgive me of any former doubts, I do repent!) Since our discussion in March, which helped my to grow, I do pray a differently. I do not plead with God for these babies to be saved because I've been conducting searches in the forum on the subject of "infant salvation" and "salvation of children". I am convinced through the scriptures posted that these babies and children that God has put under my care, they are His, are saved if they should perish for some reason before the age of accountability. Yes, my prayers are different. They are more focused on asking God to create in me a pure heart after His nature and spirit that I may give spiritual guidance to those He has put in my life to care for. Incidently, I have in me a burden for all babies and children. I pray for them and weep sometimes because of their sufferings and abuse. I love children so much. In regards to this doctrine, what about: Heb 2:9 But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. In this case, according to the doctrine, Does EVERYONE mean everyone as we define it, or, Is there a different meaning from the original writings? I know sometimes that one Hebrew word can have different meanings. Blessings Brother John! Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

Dear Bother John, I will praise the name of the Lord Jesus Christ forever! I will lift up my hands and my voice to my Savior! I will love the Lord my God with all my heart, mind, soul, and strengh! Praise the Lord Jesus! I went to the the web sight that you reffered me to. As I'm sure you know of me already brother John, I have not really read any theology before, so, it was, and is, a new experience for me. In fact I'm sure that you've seen me write before that I am described in this verse:(1 Cor 1:26 For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble;), and I like this verse too:(1 Cor 3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.) With all of that being said, I still have no other thoughts on the question; you had asked me in a prior post on this thread if I had any. I do, however, have a some thoughts/comments on the doctrine you are introducing me too. Please forgive me here if I have strayed away from the original question. My thoughts/comments are these, keep in mind, I am in no way speaking out against or being judgemental of this doctrine; I do not know enough about it. To me the doctrine is bitter/sweet. Bitter because when I think of my Grandchildren and the loving times we have together in singing songs to the Lord and sharing stories from God's Word, and, the time I spend in continual prayer for them, and others as well, sometimes weeping for them. As I understand this doctrine, that all of this may be just a waste of emotion and time really hurts. Sweet because I know without a doubt that the chosen ones of God will enter His kingdom to be with Him forever. Your brother in Christ, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |
