1 | Religions, who is right???? | Not Specified | serenetime | 20064
I know there are many man made religions in the world. But if we all believe slightly different, and if our heart is right, and with good intentions, then who are we to say it's wrong?? Doesn't God look at the heart?? If the heart is right, who's to say??? Doesn't God only look at the heart, and it's intentions, and make His decision??? Isn't all religions man made???
2 | What is your opinion of interpretation? | Not Specified | serenetime | 30671
MY question is that do you feel that all interpretation can be proven by scripture alone, or do we need some outside help? I believe all our answers are in scripture alone. What is your opinion and why? Serenetime
3 | The Massorah? | Not Specified | serenetime | 30676
Are you familiar with the Massorah? And do you think there's a need for it? I feel it's VERY important. The Massorah is what it's called a fencing of the original manuscripts so as to man not changing or interpreting the word differently than what was originally written. Serenetime

5 | How are we to understand? | Not Specified | serenetime | 46238
Hi to all, I recall awhile back when alot of people were not happy with the new translation of the NIV bible. If I remember correctly there was quite a contraversy going on regarding this matter as to some certain scriptures and certain variations. Even certain one were willing to even to throw the original NIV away. My question to all is this- If certain Bibles are being retranslated ever so often, then how are we to know which translation even remotely comes closests to the Original Language in which it was written to get the closests to the correct interpretation? Your thoughts please! SERENETIME |

Jensen, I think you fail to have a open mind about numbers. I have done extensive research on biblical numerics, and I've come to the conclusion that they are very prevalent in the Word of God. I never heard Casiv say he was reading Taro cards, or hallmark cards or using poker cards and that he was giving your future, by calling him Miss Cleo was wrong. All he's asking is that you seek it it out. Yes there are more Taro readers out there. everyday on the T.V. It's to steer even the Christians away from the Bible, Doesn't Jesus say "seek and you'll find". If you believe that the Word of God was inspired by God and you want to know all there is to know about the Word, and I know you do, then you will find that there is a significance. First of all there is in every book in the Bible what they call Introverb, and Introbrae, which means that it begins in one subject and ends in the same way. By this you can see that it wasn't written by man. It is written in such a complex way that there is no man who with his intelligent can write it in such a numeric way.Take the time in reading the scriptures, and notice this. Just reading and thinking you know what it means in these end times is not enough. You know when someone will ask, "How can you tell me that the Bible is true?". Every Christian I know says the same thing and most people don't see it. I'm very fortunate to have a Companion Bible to lead the way for me, and it is very necessary to have Strongs Concordance to trust to give you the true meaning of the Word of God . It gives you the true meaning of every word in the Old Testament ( Hebrew, Chaldee, Aramaic), and in the New Testament, the Greek. See I have a problem with anyone that tells you to read a book by someone else. Didn't Jesus say, "trust no man?" Yes, God is there by his Spirit giving you understanding, but we as one's seeking the scriptures are not to just sit back and overlook what it underlying, or obvious. I ask as a concerned friend, that you just make an honest effort to seek them out more thoroughly, and if I'm wrong, then I'll back down. But by insulting Casiv is wrong. We as fellow seekers needing to be there for one another. In the Father's Love, Serenetime
8 | Is it okay for women to wear pants? | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 20919
Hi boyyank, I don't understand why churches have man made traditions like this. I was in an apostalic church years ago where you were asked to not wear pants to church, That was fine and understandable, but as time went on it became where you shouldn't wear pants ever. They even went so far as to say a friend of mine had backslidden and she was not longer saved, because a church member saw her in her yard wearing pant's. Do you see where it goes. They get so focused on man made traditons that they loose sight of why were together and the reason why were saved. This is just my personal opinion, but do you really think that God and Jesus really care if women wear pant's on our own time. It doesn't make us any less feminine and becoming as godly women. Didn't back in Jesus's day the men wore long robes like dresses, and in battle men could grab from behind them and bring the back of their skirt between their legs to cover themselves? Wasn't this called girding your loins? I believe so. Yes women should be an example to other women what's becoming of a godly woman. Now since I got that out of the way, their are scriptures regarding how women are to be in all of their lives is in 1Tim.2:8-10. Verse 8,I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.Verse 9, In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array. Verse 10, But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. I don't see there where women can't wear pants. It's always a good idea to read the whole chapter so you can get a better understanding of what the chapter as a whole is talking about. As you will notice in the next verse it says that women are to keep silence in the church, and so on. I know it says that, but I know that My Father will use whomever he chooses to get the truth told. I doesn't matter if it's male or female, rock or animal. See with humans, take of the flesh and what do you have??? In the Old Testament there is scriptures in Numbers 22:28-31, Verse 28, And the Lord opened the mouth of the ass, and said unto Balaam, what have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times? Verse 29, And Balaam said unto the ass, "Because thou has mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee." Verse 30, And the ass said unto Balaam, "Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee?" And he said,"Nay." Verse 31,Then the Lord opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the Angel of the Lord standing in the way, and His sword drawn in His hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face. And so on. So you see what I'm trying to tell you. We need to focus on his word and search them out. You see, the bible can be taught on three different levels. I strongly suggest all believers get a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance when studying the scriptures. In translate the Old Testament back to it's original language, Hebrew and Chaldee. and the New testament back to the Greek. You'll be amazed how the word will open up to you. I hope this was helpful. Take Care,In the Father's Love, Serenetime

Thanks Tim for the information regarding the Strongs Concordance. I do agree that it is also a dictionary, but in the publishers preface in the Strong's is says that "The Main Concordance , which lists every word in the Bible and the reference and context of every appearance of that word. It also includes a dictionary of the Hebrew Bible and a dictionary of the Greek Testament, which give the original Hebrew, Chaldee, and Greek of each word in the Bible and explains it's meaning." It also says that "Mr. Strongs spent 35 years preparing the most complete and what has become the most widely accepted Concordance of the Kings James Version." Which I only use. The Christian Herald, 1947 described this work , "the old classic, the best ever written." I do have to admit that in Hebrew there can be some variation in a meaning of a word, but if you prayerfully and diligently study and search out the scriptures in depth the way my husband and I have for several years you will be given by the Father how to discern, know what the true meaning is, when seeking the Father's Wisdom. It doesn't happen overnight. You really need to diligently seek for revelation knowledge. But it will happen. There is so much more to be revealed in the word than alot of people realize. I'm not really fond of commentaries, but am open to the possiblity. Thank you again for your imput. Oh, I just wanted to say that I thought your letter of apology to Casiv was humble. Most people would not admit this and apologize. We can have differences in what the scriptures really mean, but to be open to others is important. If we don't agree, after checking it out, then we gave it our best shot. You and him and others were going back and forth on alot of things, and I could feel the tension. I respect what you did. In the future feel free to offer any other imput that would be helpful for my desire to a better understanding. In the Father's Love, Serenetime

Kalos So you are familiar with the beatitudes Do you know that in Matthew 5 verses 3 THROUGH 12 are the eight beatitudes for the good and are to be contrasted with and understood by the eights woes of Matt 23 verses 13 THROUGH 33. What this means that if you abide by the one's in Matt. 5 than everything will be alright, but if you disobey them, in Matt.23 , you will reap your reward. Very good find Kalos, You understood exactly what I was talking about. Chapter 5 is the cause, and chapter 23 is the judgement. As for the verses you quoted in Matt. 5 verses 33,34,37. verse 34 says to Swear not all, neither by heaven, for it is God's throne. The word Swear here means in the Greek translation 3660, to take or declare an oath. An oath is a promise made to my Father. When I swore on my Father's word that I didn't go into the forum to answer EdB in anger, By me declaring an oath, if I lie then I will be breaking one of the commandements, bearing false witness.Don't perjure yourself, I am putting myself on the scale of balances and if someone comes on the scale and bears false witness against me. My Father will judge them of what they're are accusing me of. I do like the laws of the old times. If two make an oath and their are no other witnesses, and one perjures himself, The Father would strike you dead right where you stand. M AN R HEL DE. Charis, That's short for charismatic, right. Let me undo the confusion, I'm serenetime, my husband is Praisemaster, a friend of ours is Casiv. Now since that is made clear. I'm sure glad I would never attend your church, I'd be chased down the street. I've never talk to you, and you know nothing about me, so I don't understand your problem. I for one have never tried to offend anyone. I've hardly conversed on this forum. As for my husband Praisemaster. Just because you claim that no one can understand him, doesn't give anyone the right to insult him, if you're not interested in what we have to say, then don't respond. But I am an individual, and my husband is an individual, so is Casiv. It wouldn't totally be fair to make us all one person, would it But the problem is that so many respond just to argue and not to further a greater understanding of the Word, that if someone could relate to our understanding and wanted to interact with one of us, but by seeing what was happening would not even attempt it. It wouldn't be worth it to them. All I've seen is chaos and confusion, and the word is not so complex. And God is not the author of confusion, but of Love, and peace. We're being attacked by some in the same arrogant, belittling manner you spoke of. But that's ok. The door swings both ways. It is mindblowing only because we only believe what the bible teaches, but go back to the original language that it was originally written, some words translated later may not always be the closest to right meaning, but the translators do their best. So what is so wrong with that. I know that everyone would not continue in the defense mode if we felt we were being given a fair chance. Please don't respond to us if it's not going to edify and strengthen us all in our desire for deeper truth. That's all I ask. If you're not interested, then don't respond back. And that would keep the unnecessary tension down. I'm sorry if we seem to be a threat to you, only on the fact that we're a little bit harder to understand. It's interesting that everyone seems to categorise us as wacko's, cocky, arrogant. I don't think God want's us being this way to one another. But focusing on working together for a better understanding of the Bible. Not treating people in a way where they want to avoid interacting on this forum. Where is your right to tell us to leave. And how can you say "God Bless" in the same sentence as 'somewhere else". They contradict one another. I'm sure their are many faithful saints in this forum, it's not all one sided here, and I think you know it. Your tone and note are quite offensive to me, but that's ok. I come on this forum to interact with people that want to interact with me, I don't deserve to be lashed out at because I seem foreign to you. No one ever said on our end that we were better than anyone, Let's face it, there's been some competition going on here. Let's see who'll win. I'm ruting for Fred, and so on. When someone is being cornered, by several people, it's normal human nature to defend themselves. I will not speak for Casiv, or Praisemaster, but treat me as a individual. Serenetime
12 | Only seal and horse in same verse Rev6:5 | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 21535
Sir Pent, This is Serenetime. I have to let everyone know how it all started. You see Casiv found this forum and told us about it. Casiv was interacting on the forum at home, and there were times when we would all be together. Sometimes not even thinking, we didn't even think of who was logged on at the time. So we would go on to look up questions, answers, etc. Sometimes me and my husband would log onto the forum as Casiv because it was easier to find his questions, and the answers. But without thinking we would start interacting, not realizing. We would get involved and forget we were logged on as Casiv, and or Praisemaster, causing confusion. It's all a mess. This is how I feel that my husband Praisemaster and Casiv got mixed up by name, and some thought they were one and the same. We don't have any control of what someone individually does on their own, and I don't really know how the tension all began. But we are all to be held accountable for what we do, and what we say and if we offend, then we must amend. You are so right Sir Pent that we are solely responsible for how we talk to people, and no one is to elevate themselves above other's. This is a bad spirit to be in, and if I could take it all of this away, I would. We can be studying with each other, if I see something that I know is the wrong kind of spirit, I can try to help the person to see, but does not always see, and may keep on. We are separate individuals, and should be held accountable as separate. As for me, I've only asked one question on the forum, and have interacted briefly here and there. It was mostly Casiv, and sometimes Praisemaster. I can't speak for no one else, but for me. I never meant to ever offend anyone on this forum. I try very hard in my personal life to come to people in a serene spirit. This is where I got my name. Because the time is now. Also I think that there were times when an answer by someone written in away that some would take offensive, or maybe is that they needed more of an explanation. It is never wise to ask a question, and when you don't get what you're looking for in a answer, get abrupt. This starts a chain reaction, and then other's to there friend's defense, and here we go. Then no one wants to answer but just defend. This is not in the spirit of love and patience. There were times when my husband would ask a question, and because people weren't sure if it was praisemaster or Casiv, they would think that he was trying to set a trap or bait someone. this is how bad it got. My husband has to answer for himself. But because of this arrogant answer, then my husband would get upset. Please except my deepest apology for if I was a partaker in this mess. Charis, I'm sorry, I know you had seen and heard so much that you were through with it all. I understand why your note was the way it was. By the way Charis, in your profile, it says your name came from charismatic. Please, my heart is so heavy, and I need for you to lift this burden off of me. I am coming to you ALL in the sincerest of hearts. Will you give me an opportunity to show you that I have only good intentions when interacting on the forum. Yes, Iosous (Jesus) is our Saviour and I excepted him in 1986. Charis felt that maybe we hadn't or didn't choose to except Jesus. I understand why. Please contact me, it's very important to me that I hear from you and you have forgiven me if I have done anything to hurt anyone. Thank you, In the Father's and Son's Love, Serenetime
13 | What can you get your prayer life back? | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 20881
Yogi, in Roman 10:17, it says, So then faith cometh by hearing , and hearing by the word of God. Do you have faith. If faith cometh by hearing, then are you hearing the word by a good teacher in your area. Yes you should read scripture to build up yourself, but without hearing, and I mean truly hearing the word of God by one who can rightly divide the word of truth, then this May be your problem. A good teacher is one who will not take a scripture here and there and give his own interpretation of it, but will read chapter by chapter, verse by verse. I hope this helps and yes your prayers to the Father in Jesus name in sincere need for wisdom and knowledge is a MUST. In Love, Serenetime
14 | unmarried couple kissing | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 23900
A kiss on the cheek is fine in public. It's improper to go beyond this. I don't know if you are a female or male, but discretion is called for with good manners in public. I don't perticularly like seeing any couple kissing in public beyond the scope of a kiss on the cheek. I find it offensive. As for necking even in private, you need to be very careful as not to allow it to go beyond and lead to a temptation of lustful desire, something that may be regretted. We are to be examples of chasteness to others, and in representing The Father God. In the Love Of the Father, Serenetime
15 | What it the Bible's calling fornication? | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 23908
Bill, Fornication in the Old Testament is 2181 in the hebrew of the Strong's Concordance means committing adultery continually in the feminine sense, commit idolatry. Also 8457 in the Old Testament in the hebrew means whoredom, harlotry. In the New Testament its 1608 in the Greek in the Strong's Concordance, meaning utterly unchaste, giving over to fornication, unclean, loss of innocence, immoral, an awful thing. As for kissing being fornication, well kissing to the point of necking which can lead to lust and to foreplay which leads to sexual intercourse is fornication when out of marriage. When two people come together this way, you two become one. In Genesis 2:24 it says Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh. You notice it says wife, because when you come together sexually you are his wife in the sight of God. Also in 1 Cor. 7:8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows. It is good for them if they abide (remain) even as I. Verse 9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. And we are also to be an example to our children. In Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; And when he is old, he will not depart from it. In old times past throughout the world many cultures when two go in the tent or dwelling they're single, when they come out they're married. Their were no marriage licenses of paper in the days of old. But what's important is that you remain chaste in the sight of God. In the Father's Love, Serenetime
16 | Lowest Common Denominator | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 25228
Charis, The lowest point that I can possibly concieve on this sphere of enlightenment of love is to become as earth in Genesis 1:2. Tohu va Bohu. Darkness, to be decieved of the appointed time of when the bridegroom comes for his bride. The apparell of the bride has become black and void. For now is the time of the wedding to Iesous. The bride had already gone and eloped with the adulterous. The Devil, Satan, The Dragon, Apollyon, Adversary, Nachash, Son of Perdition, Abomination of desolations, Lucifer, The Bright and Morning Star, Death. Who is now the Brides Kinsman Redeemer. For now they are One. For all that belongs to It, It's now also the Brides Inheritence of EVIL Jealous Pride. For the Ways of Satan are the means to Death. To be blotted out. Nothingness, Negative, Non Existent, Never Known to exist, Null and Void. Cannot even be measured, but even worse still in existense feeling uttermost shame of anyone like those in Rev 6:15. To hide from the bridegroom they would wish for the rocks to fall on them to hide their shame. You would be better off to be non existent than to go on without experiencing True Love of the Father. But the lowest point would be to see those whom you had judged and persecuted and The Bridegroom turning his back and saying to you "I Never Knew You" Adulterous. This is why I study so diligently in search of the truth, so I can know that I am sharing to one of the Father's Precious children in Love and Truth. For I will be held accountable to My Father and my Messiah. In 2 Peter 3:9, It says The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slacknes; but is longsuffering to us-ward not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Verse 10, But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. May we all be there for each other in Love. In True Love, Serenetime
17 | How did Nephilims come into existance? | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 26586
wjohn, Hi You will get your answer in Genesis 6 starting at verse 1. Verse 2 says the sons of God. Sons of God here is Angels. Angels are called spirits in Ps.104:4, Heb.1:7,14 for spirits are created by God. Verse 4, specifies Giants after the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. But verse 2 tells you their lust for the daughters of men, and they took wives of all which they chose. They are Nephilim meaning fallen ones from naphal (to fall). I hope this helps. 18 | How did Nephilims come into existance? | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 27686
Jesusman, My mistake on the fact that Giants were already there in those days. It clearly says that in Gen.6:4, They became Mighty men after the Sons of God came unto the daughters of Men. Thanks for showing me that. In the Love of the Father, Serenetime
19 | Is LAST always FINAL | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 34078
10ECPreacher, I'm confused, there is no John3:37, but regarding what Praisemaster said, I've look up Last in the Greek, and it says for all verses in the NT, it is the same translation for them all. Which means "Further most out". I'm sorry, but there's no getting around this. Look it up. Love in the Living Water, Serenetime
20 | Why claim your tithes on your taxes? | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 37023
Hi Lifechanger, Interesting question! I agree with heisthe 1. But I also wanted to mention that we should be tithing to a church or ministry where we are being taught the true word of God. Especially where you are being taught chapter by chapter, and line by line in order to understand the full meaning. Not just someone who gives us a verse 1 or 2 and then gives their interpretation, because one verse here and there can be easily be taken out of context, and not recieved correctly. That's why it's so very important for us as christians to be reading and studying the word for ourselves. Then we will know if we are tithing to the right ministry, because let's face it God wants us to know his word. Chew it up and absorb it into our hearts. The word says there will be many false prophets and teachers and will decieve many? Matt 7:15-27, 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: Matt.4:11 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. KJV 2 Cor 11:13 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.KJV 2 Tim 4:3-7 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. KJV 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: KJV 2 Peter 2:1-2 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. KJV And I for one do not want to tithe into a ministry that's teaching wrong. Tithing first in faith to support the true word of God ministry to keep the true word coming to many. That's what God wants and therefore it goes to God. I don't really agree with the claiming it on our taxes, because are we not to trust God to provide for us in every area of our lives? John 4:14 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. I hope I've helped!! IN THE LIVING WATER OF TRUTH, SERENETIME |
