Mark, this is not about what you want and it helps very little when you use scripture to say she will be submissive. My husband was pastor of a church with a beautiful Christian submissive wife who would have done anything for him and did. He moved in with a very imoral woman, they went to church together, she even sang, he gave out communion, IN church and out of church they committed their sin. I listened quietly to the Holy Spirit and one day he sent me divorce papers and got a quick 60 day divorce, have not seen him since,,, hey you pray but get on with your service for the king of kings. I tried to get him to have counsel from the men and other pastors but he refused and told the men he had given me ample time to be a good wife. Those who are married are said to live as though they had no spouse so that is how I live in service to Jesus, listen if a man or woman can not honor their vows to God why would marriage vows matter. Sooner or later, a dog returns to his vomit son, so please take it from a loving old woman ... get on with your life and leave her to Jesus

Please don't mis-understand, I wasn't using scripture to tell my wife to be submissive, ever. Those scriptures that tell her to be submissive, are from God to her, he wasn't talking to me. He told me to love her like Christ loves the church. I didn't know how to do that before, but I am learning through His teaching. I am taking Doc's advice and have two days done in the Setting Captives Free, the way of purity course, I have already learned alot. God is blessing my efforts, last night my wife agreed to attend counciling with me. She is led by the Spirit, and right now she doesn't believe that she will change her mind. But I am not asking or forcing her to change it, I want only what God wants for our lives, I do happen to believe that He wants us reconciled, but His will be done. Sorry for your situation I pray you are well.

Thanks for the reply. In every case the Holy Spirit will make it clear. Living a Holy life of righteousness in Christ, the Holy Spirit said my marriage bed was defiled and he was unclean. His pride and his unrepentent heart is why he is not even "seeing" and two years have past and I have not missed him being in my home one day. His idea of forgiveness was to sign my guest book on my web site and that was why he got on with his life and told me to Get a life. Even if you get counselling from man, listen to the Holy Spirit, God forgives you but the sad thing is, you joined yourself to another woman and became one with someone else. God has since blessed me with the most beautiful gentle sweet Christian man I could have dreamed of in my life, so I too, have to be open to make myself vunerable again for a relationship hoping God will keep us one. What sometimes happens is the husband repents, treats his wife "as Christ loved the church" she never lets him forget, and sometimes obeys people and not her heart to reconcile and then you end up being miserable. You may want her back but keep your eyes on your serving Christ and being all for Him and His kingdom and God may raise up a new work for you.
