1 | Go to heaven or hell? | Bible general Archive 3 | CDBJ | 176583 | ||
Hi Ardmore, Don't don’t worry about your English I think it’s great. The number of people that enter heaven will get there because they have been given the key to enter. Everyone in Heaven will have gotten there the same exact way, with the same exact matching key. The key was the same in the Old Testament as it is in the New Testament it’s just that the key has been given a name in the New Testament. The Apostle Peter was given the keys and he passed them out in large numbers as did the other Apostles. Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Without having this key a person can't be free to enter heaven; they will be bound in this life. The key is the only “way” into heaven and it’s free to all that want it; but one must truly trust and believe that the key will work or they won't be able to receive it. Do you have the key yet and will you be in heaven with the "few that have found it? Have a great day, CDBJ |

Hi, CDBJ Thanks for your reply. I am struggling with the two contradictive ideas. Hidden behind My issue is an argument. Matthew 7:13 "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it." It means that only few people can go to heaven. However the kingdom of God has been established steadfastly since Jesus raise from death. The gospel will be spread over the whole world. Numbers 14:21 "Nevertheless, as surely as I live and as surely as the glory of the LORD fills the whole earth". Revelation 7:9-10 "After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb." By these verses, it seems give me a hint: countless people will be saved.God had a promise with Abraham. Genesis 13:16 "I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted".Of course I disagree with that God wants all men to be saved. It is interesting with the vote result online http://www.ccel.org/contrib/exec_outlines/text/lk13_23.htm I hope someone could clear the two conflicted perspectives. Peace ardmore |

Greetings Ardmore! Are the Scriptures you cited really contradictory? There are currently 6.5 billion people alive on the planet. If only 1 percent of these people would accept Christ, there would be 65 million Christians alive today. 1 percent is few, but 1 percent of 6.5 billion is a lot of people. :-) Finally, you wrote: "Of course I disagree with that God wants all men to be saved." Yet, 1 Tim. 2:3-7 says, "This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time." Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
