Subject: Go to heaven or hell? |
Bible Note: Hi, CDBJ Thanks for your reply. I am struggling with the two contradictive ideas. Hidden behind My issue is an argument. Matthew 7:13 "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it." It means that only few people can go to heaven. However the kingdom of God has been established steadfastly since Jesus raise from death. The gospel will be spread over the whole world. Numbers 14:21 "Nevertheless, as surely as I live and as surely as the glory of the LORD fills the whole earth". Revelation 7:9-10 "After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb." By these verses, it seems give me a hint: countless people will be saved.God had a promise with Abraham. Genesis 13:16 "I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted".Of course I disagree with that God wants all men to be saved. It is interesting with the vote result online http://www.ccel.org/contrib/exec_outlines/text/lk13_23.htm I hope someone could clear the two conflicted perspectives. Peace ardmore |
