I want everything God has for me, including the Holy Spirit. I am not afraid to submit to the Holy Spirit. We have been given the authority in Jesus' Name to bind, and loose, and to rebuke demons. How immature not to hold to these things. Satan likes that! "There will be no rebuking of demons, here!" Yes, Satan would like that very much. You must yield to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead you. Janae |

Janae If we can bind Satan, who keeps untying him? Perhaps that guy we need to go after. :-) EdB |

Ha, ha, ha. You have made a good point there; but, seriously, you don't just bind him one time. There are demonic forces with POWER working in the lives of our unsaved loved ones, for example. I pray EVERY DAY to loose Satan's grip on my unsaved children. Another example would be an illness, and you must pray EVERY DAY. For example, I prayed daily for the son of a friend of mine who had been diagnosed as bi-polar. One of the symptoms of that illness is a predisposition toward suicide. I prayed every day that that the spirit of suicide would be loosed from him, in Jesus' Name. You can't just pray once. You have to PRY them loose by praying every day until they are pryed loose. I know you are taking this lightly, but it is very serious. Spiritual warfare is no joke. God has shown me demons before. I have seen what they look like, and they are UGLY!!! They are real. They are evil, and they are after our children. Janae. |

Hi Janae, If I might offer 3 observations in order to help in your understanding:-) 1. I don't think anyone is trying to "take this lightly". However, I would -again-recommend that you heed the advice given! Are you or are you not truly "trying to learn all I can about His Word"? True learning necessitates listening and acting on advice (Prov. 19:20). 2. Time and again you use NON-BIBLICAL TERMINOLOGY. This only confuses the issue because we (and you) must define what you're refering to. There is no such thing as a "spirit of suicide"- BIBLICALLY! Scripture also NEVER commands us to "PRY" anybody loose. Again, without clear definitions we can only guess what you mean. 3. Scripture clearly defines our "battle-dress" for spiritual warfare in Eph. 6:10-18. I do not lessen the necessity of prayer- it's included. "The Armor of God 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,..." Note that our only offensive weapon is the Word of God! Prayer is closely coupled with this. I trust this will be of some help to you. BradK |

Thank you, Brad for your concern about my understanding of the Word of God. I feel I understand it very well. I am with a group of Believers who put feet to God's Word and I am very active in intercessory prayer. I start each day by putting on the armour of God, through prayer. I would not want to go out into the world to fight Satan without it. And, you are right. The Word of God is the weapon we use to fight with, not only in prayer, but in every situation we encounter. There is nothing else. Janae. |

Did you not read Ezekiel 28:12? 12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. The Historians and Bible commentaries say: It may be gathered from the prophetical Scriptures and from Josephus that the conquest of Jerusalem was rapidly followed BY THE FALL of Tyre and the complete submission of Phœnicia, Ezek. 26–28; after which the Babylonians carried their arms into Egypt, and inflicted severe injuries on that fertile country. Jer. 46:13-26; Ezek. 29:2-20. We are told that the first care of Nebuchadnezzar, on obtaining quiet possession of his kingdom after the first Syrian expedition, was to rebuild the temple of Bel (Bel-Merodach) at Babylon out of the spoils of the Syrian war. He next proceeded to strengthen and beautify the city, which he renovated throughout and surrounded with several lines of fortifications, himself adding one entirely new quarter. Having finished the walls and adorned the gates magnificently, he constructed a new palace. In the grounds of this palace he formed the celebrated "hanging garden," which the Greeks placed among the seven wonders of the world. But he did not confine his efforts to the ornamentation and improvement of his capital. Throughout the empire, at Borsippa, Sippara, Cutha, Chilmad, Duraba, Teredon, and a multitude of other places, he built or rebuilt cities, repaired temples, constructed quays, reservoirs, canals and aqueducts, on a scale of grandeur and magnificence surpassing everything of the kind recorded in history, unless it be the constructions of one or two of the greatest Egyptian monarchs. The wealth, greatness, and general prosperity of Nebuchadnezzar are strikingly placed before us in the book of Daniel. Other historians, Eusebius and Berosus, also confirm the account. At the time of the crusades it was still a flourishing city, when it surrendered to the Christians on the 27th of June, 1144. It continued more than a century and a half in the hands of Christians, but was deserted by its inhabitants in a.d. 1291, upon the conquest of Acre (Ptolemais) by the sultan of Egypt and Damascus. This was the turning-point in the history of Tyre, which has never recovered from the blow. Its present condition is a FULFILLMENT of Ezekiel’s prophecy, Ezek. 26:5. William Smith; revised and edited by F.N. and M.A. Peloubet, Smith’s Bible dictionary , electronic ed., Logos Library System, (Nashville: Thomas Nelson) 1997. The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769. |

You are reading God's Word with a closed mind. It is obvious to me that Ezekiel 28:11-19 speaks of Satan. You can quote me what the historians say all day long, but the Holy Spirit has told me that it speaks of Satan, and the Holy Spirit is my authority. He wrote the Word of God. Janae |

John 1:18 18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. Romans 8:24 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? No man hath seen God or heard his voice, I might add in the present day. When did this phenomenon occur? We are not given miracles as the apostles were; not any you can put your finger on anyway. The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769. |

These verses are speaking of God the Father. We see miracles every day. Salvation is a miracle. What greater miracle can there be than to be saved? If you mean miracles such as healing, I have personally been healed by God. A miracle. I have heard the audible voice of God, myself. It is not common, but I have a friend who has also heard God's voice audibly. You cannot put God in a box. He can do anything. Janae. |

I repeat: Romans 8:24 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? You are auto-hypnotic! A preacher asked to pray for me and I said okay. We were alone and he started praying. He then said "as soon as you feel the power of the Holy Spirit raise your hand and shout hallelujah". I immediately shot up my hand and shouted hallelujah, as fast as I could because he almost had me hypnotized. I kept quiet to see what he would say. He gave me post-hypnotic suggestions that I would no longer smoke or chase after women and a bunch of other things! Be carefull not to be fooled by imitators of Christ! |
