1 | The Problem with WoF in a nutshell | Bible general Archive 2 | DarcyA | 95164
Are you saying that this of of God? That this is preaching Jesus and His cross? (The cross is part of who Jesus is) I amwondering if you know what the WoF is actually teaching? Also JW's preach a Cross (Actually to them its a stake) and a Jesus does this mean they are right? WoF do teach faith but not a Godly faith, Its a Personal faith not given by God but it is given to you by you only speaking. I see the sick things these people are teaching and it makes me squirm, I write these people asking them to give me scripture proof of some of there claims. I never gotten a letter back or E-mail, except a letter stating that if I give money now it will be given back to me 100 fold. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 2 Timothy 4:3-4(KJV) God Bless you, Darcy Munn |

2 | The Problem with WoF in a nutshell | Bible general Archive 2 | apostoloB | 96534
Part 3. I don't know about all of you, but I believe God loves me as much as He does Jesus. I believe in a Father who wants to bless me, and does way beyond anything I deserve, and I trust that He will be faithful to His promises, otherwise what's the point? When I was pastoring a church in Florida, a young man named Brian stopped into my office to visit with me. Brian had received salvation at a Moody Adams crusade in which our fellowship had participated. Every participating church provided counselors who ministered to the people who came forward and then later followed up to make them disciples. Well, Brian had matured in our fellowship and then went away to bible college to study. He wanted to become a missionary. As we were talking he told me that he had been praying one day and he asked God a question. He said, "God aren't you concerned about how much damage the devil does to the church, and how much trouble he causes for everyone, and how much he hurts everyone? Doesn't that bother You?" And he said that God replied, "Brian, I am secure enough in Myself that I don't need to worry about what the devil does, because I know who's really in charge." As Brian was speaking those words God spoke to me and said, "Do you hear what he is saying? That's for you! I want you to be secure enough in Me that you will do whatever I tell you to do and not worry about what anyone else says and I will judge whether you are successful or not, not man." So I put it to you brothers and sisters. Is this what God's word has called you to do. Has His Spirit spoken to you and said, "Go, tear the church apart" or did He say in His word to you, "Matt 10:8 "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give." Was He speaking about you or the Word of Faith brothers when He said, "Mark 16:17 "These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues;Mark 16:18 they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." When was the last time any of you healed the sick, cast out a demon, worked a miracle and raised the dead, spoke in new tongues, or even believed our all powerful God for anything beyond your daily bread? Brethren, I can humbly tell you that God's Holy Spirit has performed all of those acts through my vessel, because I have the baptism in the Holy Spirit and that's what we're supposed to do. Jesus said so. So my advice to you all, is to pack up your intellects, your education, your reason, and go find a real relation with The Living God, His Son Jesus Christ, and His precious Holy Spirit, and you too will be saying, "Hey, God really does mean everything He said. And He really does want to bless me, and He really meant it when He said we would receive power from on high. Hallelujah, Praise God, Glory to His Name, Praise Him in the highest." May the Lord bless you in a mighty way as only He can. ApostoloB |

There you have it ApostoloB has spoken, if you oppose what he said your opposing God. Isn’t interesting when scripture won’t support their teaching they then turn to threats. What ApostoloB said that God told Brian is absolutely right God is in control and God states that clearly in His scripture. God’s word also said if someone comes to you with a different gospel than the one Paul taught we are to know it isn’t from Him. Word of Faith teaches a different Gospel and then tries to frighten you into accepting it by saying if you oppose this you oppose God. No one is opposing God we are opposing the fact that Word of Faith keeps putting word in God’s mouth which are different than what God spoke in His scripture. EdB |

Greetings Ed, I most certainly agree.. But you know, isn't that just the same old, common ploy - to frighten people into accepting somebody's idea? Noone should ever be frightened into anything concerning the Lord Jesus Christ or where Scripture is concerned. Should anything present itself as any less humble than the lamb of God and take hold of you, then I most certainly believe that we have room for concern! The great characteristic of a saint (and the teachings of the saint) is humility - all those evils would have manifested themselves in me, but for the grace of God, I have no right to judge, although I follow Him. Enough of this self-gratifying Word-Faith teaching.. I'm getting tired. To all, have a good night! Makarios |
