It's good to hear from you Cyclist! Makes me also glad to see you joy. May God bless you. Cyclist, you wrote abot Gal 5:19-21. Is it true for you that you say honestly..."In my heart, I don't get angry, I don't envy, etc. etc. " You may not practice it outside....but in your heart, how is it with you? Reminds me of a Psalm in which it says somethign like "Let the meditations of my heart be pleasing to you"....Is it so with you dear Cyclist? |

talmid, All praise and glory and honor be to GOD our Father who created the heavens and the earth and the seas and all that there is therein! And to His Son Jesus Christ who thought not of himself but gave His own life for our sins! Blessed be the LORD forever! Forgive the delay in responding to your post. My computer at home is not working for some reason. Bless you as you celebrate His resurrection! You write: "Cyclist, you wrote abot Gal 5:19-21. Is it true for you that you say honestly...'In my heart, I don't get angry, I don't envy, etc. etc. ' You may not practice it outside....but in your heart, how is it with you? Let me first post this verse: "Gen 6:5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." But, Jesus Christ changed my heart when I was born again: "John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." and, "Rom 6:4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life." Now since He dwells in me through His wonderful Holy Spirit, my heart and mind are changed: "Heb 8:10 "FOR THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MINDS, AND I WILL WRITE THEM ON THEIR HEARTS. AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE." And, "1 Cor 2:16 For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ." In my heart I serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Are thoughts to sin and temptaion still with me? Yes! But, as I posted before: "2 Cor 10:5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ," I will bring these sinful thoughts under the obedience of Christ. He has given that ability to me through His holy sprit. If I do not bring those thoughts under His obedience they will penetrate into my heart. "James 1:14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. James 1:15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death. James 1:16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren." Please read Romans 7 where Paul discusses the constant war within, between the flesh and the spirit. Finally talmid, I keep this scripture posted at my office, along with others: "Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things." This Psalm that you wrote of is part of my prayers to the LORD my God: "Ps 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer." I hope this answers the question that you posted to me. Bless you as you study His word! Always your brother in prayer and in praise to the LORD our God, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |
