Aren't we instructed to "pray without ceasing"? (I Thess. 5:17) What does Acts 6:4 mean or Eph. 6:18? Wouldn't you agree that God knows the very thoughts of our hearts? (don't know the references for that one but remember reading it somewhere - will look them up for you if you need them) Sorry I did not supply these references before. P.S. I believe you are correct in seeing this as an instruction to 'Keep the comunication lines open at all times between us and God.' Another way to put it would be to practice the presence of God which is being aware that He is present with us by His Spirit at all times. But that is not merely a mental process. As you scripture in Ephesians says pray in the spirit with all kinds of prayers... We are Spirit Soul (mind, will and emotions-carnal) Body |
