Aren't we instructed to "pray without ceasing"? (I Thess. 5:17) What does Acts 6:4 mean or Eph. 6:18? Wouldn't you agree that God knows the very thoughts of our hearts? (don't know the references for that one but remember reading it somewhere - will look them up for you if you need them) Sorry I did not supply these references before. I'll remember to substantiate my responses with the Bible in the future. | ||||||

Are thoughts of the heart and thoughts of the mind the same thing? The mind has to be renewed and we are transformed by the renewing of our minds...No all our thoughts are not Godly thoughts because the renewed mind is a process. Secondly the thoughts of the heart are those that proceed from the spirit of a man, not his mind. The mind is to be disciplined to obey God's word as we capture thoughts, but as long as there is an enemy, Satan, talking to us, we will hear in our minds what is not of God. but the Spirit led believer will recognize these and cast them down. Does God know our thoughts and answer them? Know-yes, answer as prayers? No because that would infringe on our will. We must decide what to do with the thoughts and if Jesus is our Lord, we will capture them with the truth of scripture as we grow. 1 Corinthians 10:4-6 You seem to be saying God talks to us and we talk to Him MIND TO MIND...However the comunication is Spirit to spirit.
