1 | sin of Adam in the blood? | Bible general Archive 1 | Searcher56 | 59053 | ||
Melanie, greetings. I found the following, which I hope helps ... During pregnancy, fetal blood cells are made in the fetus. The fetal RBCs have the characteristics that are inherited from his/her parents. The mother continues to maintain her own separate blood supply with its own unique characteristics. The placenta acts as a barrier between the blood systems of the mother and her baby and passes oxygen and other nutrients from the mother's blood to that of the child while maintaining the blood supplies separately. Source: Labatory Services http://www.nybloodcenter.org/4C12.htm Placenta: an organ formed in the uterus during pregnancy that links the blood of the mother to the blood of the fetus. http://www.apollos.net/arena/opitz/library/p__library.html But the blood of the mother and the fetus are normally kept completely separate by the placenta. www.math.grin.edu/courses/Scheme/ spring-1998/exercise-1.html - Searcher |
