1 | Why did Jesus have to beborn of a virgin | Bible general Archive 1 | Bill Kluga | 275
I'd like to add that the blood of the mother never enters the blood stream of the fetus, but is imparted through the sperm of the father. Since "the life of the flesh is in the blood," as in Leviticus 17:11, the sinlessness of Christ was maintained by no human man having a part in the conception. The true Father was God through the Holy Spirit. Thus there was a sinless nature passed on to the Christ. The virgin birth was necessary to this fact.
2 | sin of Adam in the blood? | Bible general Archive 1 | jesusfreak508@aol.com | 59051
It was said in this post that the blood of the mother never enters the blood stream of the fetus. Is that verifiable in a biology text somewhere? I find the speculation fascinating. I will not be surprised to discover it is true. After all the Lord told the Jews thousands of years ago to circumcize their sons on the 8th day, and it is only recent medical research that has verified that the baby's blood clotting factors are not up to full working capacity until the 8th day. I would really like a source to verify this biological assertation about "the bloodstream of the fetus", please. Thank you, Melanie |

Melanie, greetings. I found the following, which I hope helps ... During pregnancy, fetal blood cells are made in the fetus. The fetal RBCs have the characteristics that are inherited from his/her parents. The mother continues to maintain her own separate blood supply with its own unique characteristics. The placenta acts as a barrier between the blood systems of the mother and her baby and passes oxygen and other nutrients from the mother's blood to that of the child while maintaining the blood supplies separately. Source: Labatory Services http://www.nybloodcenter.org/4C12.htm Placenta: an organ formed in the uterus during pregnancy that links the blood of the mother to the blood of the fetus. http://www.apollos.net/arena/opitz/library/p__library.html But the blood of the mother and the fetus are normally kept completely separate by the placenta. www.math.grin.edu/courses/Scheme/ spring-1998/exercise-1.html - Searcher |

Incredible. There in front of me all the time yet I never processed what the words were telling me. I've had five children. I did know I had a seperate blood supply from all of them while I carried them and I did know the placenta linked us while also serving as a barrier. Incredible. Beautiful. Wonderful. Thank you! God bless, Melanie |

where/which branch would you suggest I use to post query--specific query about "free will"? I have been perusing them from simple 'free will' search query and I can't find any postings that feel as though they would help me with my query. I am really studying this, and I have the Scriptures from all of the posts, but I am at the stage where I want to make sure I understand 'free will' before I start reading the Scriptures that attest to it (or not as it is also argued).
