RAVEN, if you are opposed to church choirs, as I believe the Churches of Christ are, please enlighten the rest of us by showing positive proof that Scripture forbids choirs to sing praises to God. A choir is a group of people who sing. The congregation at large is also a group of people who sing. If you perceive a scripturally significant difference, will you explain what it is? And, please, don't make any more personal attacks on the author of this correspondence or on any other member of this forum. I AM a Christian, my friend, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and my hope, based solely on the saving grace of God, is to be in His presence for all eternity when my life on earth is ended. I am 67, have suffered two heart attacks, and the time may not be far off. In the meantime, I live my life keeping Christ at the center and in full control. Blessing and peace to you, Raven. --Hank | ||||||

Hank please calm down. I don't want anything I say to push over the edge :) To answer your question of proof that forbids chiors. We are to learn from the bible not add to the bible. God sad, Malachi 3 6"For I am the LORD, I do not change;" And if God does not change His word does not change either. We are to worship as the bible directs us, not as man directs us. In other words if it ain't in there don't add it to your worship pattern? 1 Corinthians 4 6 Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other.
