Raven, just how did you arrive at this statement: "Young children 4-10 maybe a little older have no need of baptism. Because it takes an understanding of what their [they're?] doing."? What I am really asking you is, Wherein does the Bible set age limitations for understanding? Speaking of understanding, when I was baptized I understood what I was doing. I was obeying a command of our Lord as His disciple, a disciple who already was a regenerate believer; in other words, I was already saved BEFORE I was baptized. If I were not a regenerate believer before baptism, I could be immersed and stay under water until I bubbled and come up as a wet sinner instead of a dry one! ....... And by the way, it is not children alone who lack an understanding of what they are doing when they are baptized! --Hank | ||||||
