Great observation Steve! To me, all this "carnage" is a drop in the bucket when compared the the great winepress of God's wrath that is yet to be poured out upon the enemies of God! Blessings, Mommapbs |

Ain't that the truth. We're in for a 'doosey' of a punishment this time, ha?. This discussion sure is proof of His consistant warnings (and our consistant denials). When will we ever learn. Soon, I guess. God bless you, Mommapbs William |

William, punishment is for UNBELIEVERS. We are not in for a "doosey" of a punishment, tribulation perhaps, but God assures us in 1 John 4:19 and Romans 8:1 that we are not to fear any condemnation when we belong to Jesus! Blessings, Mommapbs |

You are a sweetheart, but I can't help not having sympathy for God's creation (good or bad), and I can't help not feeling a part of his ‘everything’ sort of speak .I may or may not be chosen to avoid His punishment, but even if I am, I will still feel like hell when the entire world (let alone all my loved ones) are down here goin thru this crap. I apologize sincerely for my language, but what I read in rev. brings a rather graphic image to mind ( don’t get me wrong I know it’s just and I firmly believe He’s doing what’s best for His creation-OUR best interest as a WHOLE). You know I really don’t understand the rapture thing, fully, but since we’re going to be ‘brought up into the air’ won’t we be watching or at least be able to see with our physical eyes the devastation of the earth. Even if that weren’t true, I still look around and see ‘everything’ that’s coming and I’m happy and hurt at the same time. Happy that my eyes are opened and hurt that many other eyes are not. The sad thing is that it’s usually their choice. I guess ,in short, I think of it like this. God made this huge beautiful creation right. Well, we are all part of this unique creation saved and unsaved alike. And in His ‘grand scheme of things’ His world, His creation, us and everything in it MUST go thru a ‘grand furnace’, if you will, to refine His “gold” or to “polish (more like grind-no more like polish since he did his ‘grinding’ back in Canaan as well as others in the O.T. ) his “diamond in the rough”. I think it’s the best feeling to know that he loves us so so much that he is able get rid of the crap!(evil of all sorts) by destroying His own creation, allowing those who truly love Him and are willing to obey Him to prosper the creation he really wants. HE KNOWS WHAT HE’S DOIN. And it’s certainly a peaceful feeling knowing somebody does. I wish everyone could make it to this heavenly place, but the bible says No! Well, with Gods blessings to everyone. William P.S.Knowing the little I know, I have no fear of what's goin ta take place. May the Lords' peace be with you. |

Greetings William, you wrote "I may or may not be chosen to avoid His punishment," The good news of the Gospel is that Jesus took the punishment of God for us. And all who have accepted His free gift of salvation that comes through faith in HIS finished work (HE paid the penalty, HH was punished for OUR sins!)are assured that they will not experience the WRATH of God. For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Thess 5:9 Do a search on the word "wrath" in the New Testament for similar Scriptures. Yes, I agree that the world will undergo a terrible time of punishment and it is horrifying to consider that those I love will be the recipients of God's Wrath, but it is as you said, "their choice." It is OUR responsibility to make them aware that of what is to come and that they do have a door of opportunity standing open for them to repent and accept Jesus as their Savior!
