Hi khmeraver, NIV is not one of my favorites. I would urge you to choose a copy that capitalizes Deity like the NASB or NKJ. These will enable one to gain the correct view of God and will help one to know Him better. | ||||||

My church uses the NIV, I don't like it though. I like to study in the NAS, yet about everything that I have comitted to memory is out of the KJV. I actually use a lot of dif. translations including an Interlinear Greek - English New Testament. When it comes to word studies W.E. Vine has a book that is an expository of new Testament words, that's hard to beat for starters. Just remember that the foot notes in any Bible help, but they are not inspired. The best why to understand what Scripture is saying, is by checking it out with other scripture on the same subject. I hope this may help. CDBJ | ||||||
