1 | How can God let us go through pain? | 1 Pet 2:24 | JdthCstl | 43082
We can not blame God for the suffering of people. As a matter of fact he promises, in Revelation 21:4 that when he returns to care for the righteous people, there will be no more suffering. It is inhumane beings that are responsible for all the suffering going on in the world. God left righteous people on earth to take care of the world. God had place a lid on evil, when he went to heaven. But someone took it off, and this are the consequences. But if you believe in God you will endure anything.

Greetings Jdthcstl! Thanks for the response! But, how then would you explain the story of Job! God was definitely responsible for what happened to Job in that He allowed Satan to afflict Job. God could have stopped it, but He choose to allow it. In fact, Phil. 1:29 says that suffering is a gift of God. I agree about Rev. 21:4 that there will not be any suffering in the new Heaven and new Earth. However, in this life, God sometimes uses even suffering to accomplish His will. Though, you are correct that much of our suffering is brought about by others or our own foolish choices. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
