1 | What about NT laws concerning divorce? | Deut 24:4 | ladonnab | 106110
I have never been married ,but have studied this intently so when I do get married.I can say that no where in the bible has it ever referred to adultry as being okay. Now it also dependes on the circumstances surrounding the divorce.Becuase if it based on infidelity on either one person involved in the marriage then in Gods laws one is free to divorce. If the head(meaning the man) or your husband is not in his rightful position doing what God has ordained him to be.Taking care of home making sure it'd in order according to the principles of God and being a example of a Godly man but doing everything contrary to Gods word then and you've done everything that you know to do through prayer ,fasting, and seeking Godly council and still no changes. Then one have a right to divorce and be lead by the Spirit of God on relationship and meeting someone who is truly sold out to God.Repent and ask God to forgive you for not seeking him on your mate that he would have for you and ask God for a second chance at a Godly relationship and a Kingdom marriage and love and he will do it.
2 | What about NT laws concerning divorce? | Deut 24:4 | bjh | 106186
The argument was raised that this verse in Deuteronomy doesn't apply because it was OT. My response was that there are also NT verses that regulate divorce. My point was that because divorce is equated with adultery, divorce is wrong. |
