Steve, my pastor said in a sermon not long ago that he had rather believe in the literal account of the Genesis creation story, including the six calendar days, and then when he got to heaven have God tell him whether everything was literal or whether some was figurative. I like that. And would P.S. it thus: But I have an idea that when we get to heaven, the joy of being there will be so sublime that it won't matter much to us how God went about creating the world anyway! --Hank | ||||||
