One of the basic principles of biblical interpretation is the *analogia scriptura*, the analogy of Scripture. In other words, we must compare Scripture with Scripture in order to understand its full and proper sense. And SINCE THE BIBLE DOESN'T CONTRADICT ITSELF, ANY INTERPRETATION OF A SPECIFIC PASSAGE THAT CONTRADICTS THE GENERAL TEACHING OF THE BIBLE IS TO BE REJECTED." Gen 7:2; Gen 7:8-9 The phrase "two by two" in 7:9 simply means the animals entered the ark in pairs. So the beasts with 7 representatives came in as 3 pairs and 1 oddball each, paired off male and female and one spare. Re: "the two conflicting accounts of creation." Could you please post one specific example of a contradiction between two passages in the two accounts of creation? Also please give chapter and verse where the two conflicting passages occur. Thank you for your question. I'll be looking forward to your reply. |

This observation is made merely to help us all while away the time as we anxiously await the long-expected reply! --Hank | ||||||

Hehehhe. "the two "conflicting" accounts of the creation." I believe it was K. A. Kitchen who showed that in Ancient Orient Texts (title of his book) it was not uncommon for them to give a second "account" in which some selected feature of the "first" was looked at in more depth, etc.. |
