Dear JVH0212, The first thing that comes to mind is the fruit of the Spirit. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22,23 NASB Bear in mind that false versions of all of these are available in the world. For instance, smug, self-satisfaction in place of peace; Emotions or carnality in place of love; drink or drug-induced joy, etc. The fruit of the Spirit is lasting, and not dependent on external circumstance, but the indwelling of the Spirit of God. A good way to know if you have faith is obience as James so states, faith without works is dead. | ||||||
