1 | What do you like about the ... church? | 1 Cor 3:22 | Makarios | 95723
Aixen7z4, I have met many people who worship Christ as Roman Catholics, people of whom I have became fast friends and have had very interesting theological conversations with.. I have been lent material and have studied much of what Catholics believe, which has been interesting and, at times, benefitial for me in understanding what I believe. "What do you think is good and praiseworthy in say, the Roman Catholic Church?" I would say that many Catholic believers who I have met have been some of the most excellent, humble and servant-led people that I have had a chance to make friends with, debate with, and discuss theology with. :-) I won't forget my Catholic friend who I spent a Saturday with walking down the streets of Lexington, KY, sharing Christ to all the people on the street. Boy we had fun that Saturday! And all the 'cuts' and 'bruises' and abuse from witnessing are well worth it when someone does truly accept Christ, right there, on the spot! Blessings to you, Makarios |

2 | Aren't those parts good? | 1 Cor 3:22 | Aixen7z4 | 95730
I thought of the decency and order in their meetings. Is that not good? (See 1Co 14:40). I thought of the piety and devotion that leads them to sometimes lead monastic lives. Is that not good? (See Luke 9:23). I thought of their submission to authority. Is that not good? (See Hebrews 13;7,17). I would hope that we would not have to give up ideals such as the priesthood of all believers (1Pe 2:9), the need to work (2Th 3:12), or the need to also follow Christ (1Co 11:1) in order to emulate those. |

Doesn't look like a question, does it? I know. It is really a prompt, to show the kind of responses I was looking for when I asked the original question. I hope this will make it easier for you to respond.
