1 | How can the Son at the end be subject be | 1 Cor 15:28 | oldone | 228430
Isa 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. Isa 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. Isa 45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. The above scriptures in Isaiah declares that thereis no God or Saviour except him and that no other will be formed. Isa 45:23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. The above scripture declares that every knee shall bow to God and the below verse states that every knee shall bow to Jesus. Will every knee bow to both? To me this was very misleading for a while. Php 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; A very condensed explaination of a bible study I made a few years ago. 2Co 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. What this verse is telling me God and Christ became one, Like, body and soul. Another way I look at it is that Jesus was the man that God became. Now look at another scripture. Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Jesus became the only physical part of the Godhead Webster gives the defination of Godhead as, THE SUPREME DIETY. Jesus has became the physical part of the one supreme diety. Mt 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. All power is in the hands of Jesus for the purpose of defeating sin. By man came sin into the world and by man sin will be defeated. When this is accomplished then 1 Cor 15:27-28. Jesus will reign in the new Jerusalem as King of the redeemed of the earth, still part of the Supreme Diety and the omnipresent spirit will reign over the universe. This is basically my thoughts but many other scripture could be presented |

2 | How can the Son at the end be subject be | 1 Cor 15:28 | Beja | 228431
Oldone, You said, "What this verse is telling me God and Christ became one, Like, body and soul. Another way I look at it is that Jesus was the man that God became." We understand clearly from John 1 that The Word was eternally with God and distinct from God, even though He actually was of the very same as God. We see that it was this Word which became flesh in Christ. So we should not think that the Father became flesh, nor should we think that Christ was ever a man while not being deity and somehow God later merged with him. Christ was the Word become flesh from the moment He was created in the womb. Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Joh 1:2 He was in the beginning with God. Joh 1:3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. Joh 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. In Christ, Beja |

Thank you for your reply. I find your note to be as a riddle to me. I think (correct me if I am wrong) you are saying that the word was actually Christ that was there with God. If this is right, I will give my thoughts concerning this later |

5 | How can the Son at the end be subject be | 1 Cor 15:28 | biblicalman | 228454
Christ Jesus was sent into the world as God Who humbled Himself by becoming man. It was through His manhood in association with His Godhood that He brought about the redemption from the world, rose again from the dead and was seated at the right hand of God. All these phrases refer to the manward aspect of His Being. His Godhood could not die, nor therefore could He as God rise from the dead. In His Godhood He sat on His Father's throne (i.e. reigned jointly with the Father - God is Spirit, He does not actually sit in a throne except when revealing His majesty to men). In the manifeatation of His manhood He sat at the Father's right hand. In the mmanifestation of His Godhood He was One with God. Part of His task as the God-man is the subjection of evil, the defeat of death and the bringing in of the everlasting kingdom. As the God-man He must reign until this is accomplished. Once all is subdued He in His manhood will subject Himself to the Godhead,(including His own Godhood), at which point He along with the Father and the Holy Spirit will be all in all. |

I can see that we are basically on the same page. Whether it is the Holy Spirit, Jesus the Christ or any other operation of the everpresent, all powerful and all knowing spirit which we call God. Everything is combined in one God. |
