Bible Question (short): Don't understand Revelation and 1 Cor 15 |
Question (full): I've been looking at Revelation and comparing it with 1 Cor 15.24-28 and there seem to be some contradictions. I don't really believe they are contradictions but I just don't understand. Example: Rev 11.15 and he shall reign FOREVER AND EVER.. But 1 Cor 15.25 for he must reign, TILL HE HATH PUT ALL ENEMIES UNDER HIS FEET. Also Rev 21.8 but the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is THE SECOND DEATH. Compare with 1 Cor 15.25,26 for he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. THE LAST ENEMY THAT SHALL BE DESTROYED IS DEATH. And Rev 22.2 ...the leaves of the tree were for the HEALING of the nations. But in ! Cor 15.28 ALL THINGS shall be SUBDUED unto him... that God may be ALL IN ALL. If all things are subdued to Him and God is all in all, how could there be any need for healing? He is completely holy and whole. |
