1 | What liquid was in the communion cup? | 1 Cor 11:25 | 00123 | 233013 | ||
On this mountain the LORD of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wine, of rich food full of marrow, of aged wine well refined. (Isaiah 25:6 ESV) When we see the verse above, do we have to expect drinking wine (aged wine, which I guess truly alcoholic wine) with the Lord at the feast, for example, for the marriage of the Lamb? If so, as I don't drink at all, I guess I might be drunken very very badly by the aged wine, and I wonder if that is acceptable. |

I'm a tea-totaller myself. Nevertheless, in that day, there will be no sin. Everything we do, think, want, hope, delight, enjoy will bring glory to God perfectly and completely and entirely. Do you really think that anything He gives to His own, even the smallest crumb, will cause you doubt or hesitation? Do you think that there would be anything unholy in His presence? If so, my friend, you do greatly err (Romans 14:7; 1 Corinthians 2:9; cf Revelation 22). So don't worry about. Walk according to your conscience today, and continue to instruct that conscience by the Word. Sooooo many important doctrines of Scripture over which to deliberate... How easily we all end up focusing on minutia, straining the gnats and swallowing camels. :-) |
