AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 11:25 In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant [ratified and established] in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in [affectionate] remembrance of Me." |
Subject: What liquid was in the communion cup? |
Bible Note: On this mountain the LORD of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wine, of rich food full of marrow, of aged wine well refined. (Isaiah 25:6 ESV) When we see the verse above, do we have to expect drinking wine (aged wine, which I guess truly alcoholic wine) with the Lord at the feast, for example, for the marriage of the Lamb? If so, as I don't drink at all, I guess I might be drunken very very badly by the aged wine, and I wonder if that is acceptable. |
