1 | Do tongues relate to worship in context? | John 4:23 | prazn | 122587 | ||
brother Tim, Just as there were pharisees and scribes when Jesus walked on the earth, there are pharisees and scribes today. "Those who have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof." - 2 Timothy 3:5 1 John 4:1 says to "test the spirit". I believe that I said that the issue of whether to speak in tongues, or not, is not worthy of PROTRACTED debate; particularly when neither side is willing to give up what they believe to be true about the matter. To prolong a debate without resolution can only lead to more animosity and divisiveness. Better to agree to disagree. peace, prazn |

Greetings Prazn! Testing the spirits is one thing, calling people pharisees because they disagree with you is another! :-) As far as debate goes, I have disagreed with several people on this issue of tongues, yet there hasn't been any animosity or divisiveness. We have each shared what we believe, and provided Scriptural support. There has been no name calling or bitterness. This is good debate. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
