Hi justme, of course avoiding people would take on a whole new dimension. You wouldn't even consider sitting down at their house for a meal. As far as I can remember the Lord was always in teaching mode. So as our example we should be in teaching mode too not avoiding sinners, but telling them the reason for the hope that is in us. The problem with all is sin. My point was we should reach them with the gospel. To fail to point out what pleases the Lord and displeases Him would be avoiding the truth. To sit down with a couple in their home, playing house, acting as if every thing is hunky dorey is not the type of thing I saw the Lord do. He was always in teaching mode. After all He was and is the greatest teacher of all. Today in our world, sin is acceptable. My question to you is sin acceptable to the Lord? Interesting conversation. Val

No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care. Little saying that's been something I read a long time ago. Jesus ate with the sinners and the those very religious leaders mocked Him for doing so. This too might be a better way? justme |

Yes I have heard that saying but is it biblical. I don't know. I trust you will read the thread, we have already went over this topic. Unless you want to add something else. I don't really know what you are talking about. The text you are using might be a good place to start if you can reference it. Thanks Val
